Frustrating. I have the same issues as all the others. Slow response when opening a pages, seizing up when interacting as in the quizzes and the one that really gets me ticked is when the app freezes and you can't close or back out. Obviously, if this developer even reads these reviews, these are consistent problems that are being ignored.

The quizzes are sometimes a bit cringe, the app has a basic layout and I often can't get what I want to find as there are multiple of the same thing in the search area. The ‘recently viewed’ isn't recently, it's whatever you've looked at since you've had the app. But... saying that, there are no ads at all, on any section which is good. I also like how's there's a ‘bookmarks’ section so you can see your favourite articles.

I've used BuzzFeed for years and I love it, but recently it's been crashing when I click on an article and it's so frustrating. I have to close the app completely and reopen and then find the article I wanted again, and then it will work! I know it doesn't sound like a huge deal but reading BuzzFeed articles has been my nightly routine before I go to sleep and it's becoming stressful 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 please fix this! Thank you ☺️

THIS APP WILL EAT YOUR MOBILE DATA. There have been 2 occasions now where Buzzfeed had used over 2GB of mobile data in one day (when I haven't used it, even with background data restricted). I've contacted the technical team and they were 'looking into it' and admitted it was a glitch on there side but never did anything about it leaving me to purchase extra data to cover their app development error.

I really used to love buzzfeed but it seems so biased lately. There's always more to a story and you should never just tell one side. Still love the quizzes and such but enough with the one-sided politics and news.

Whyyyyyyy has it started auto playing audio ads that I cannot silence or even find?!?! I have no other apps open! The only way to stop the god-awful music is to force stop the app. It doesn't even stop when I exit it! Just started today and it's incredibly annoying. May have to uninstall. No new settings to prevent it from happening. So intrusive!!

The app freezes and crashes a lot. I get an error message after reading about two articles that says buzzfeed is not responding. So I close it and just go to a different app that's similar to buzzfeed like medium, bustle, reddit, or bored Panda. Those work pretty well. Just as interesting.

Whatever update they did last week was total garbage. They separated the one feed that was easy to navigate (scroll down) and find what I want to read, to seperate into many categories with like 6 or 8 articles within the category. This makes cruising choppy and annoying and not worth the time and hassle. I spend less time on here and I'm honestly annoyed that they restructured this way cuz it's so damn stupid.

The quizzes and articles are all fun and good but the comments never get loaded no matter how many times you try. Other than that, it's fine. Took away two stars coz I thought it'll be fixed eventually considering the bug fixes but I guess not.

If I have one app that is super consistent, it would be this one. It consistently dies, lags, goes unresponsive, or otherwise stops working several times a week. Many of the quizzes do not work at all. Articles won't load. I have no comment on the content beyond saying that it is also inconsistent wnd of dubious attribution. Best avoided by those over 40 or anyone who regularly reads reddit.

Please fix the issue where when I exit a particular article, it takes me to the top instead of where I was. This was not an issue before however it is inconvenient now.

Buzzfeed is always entertaining, but especially if you're waiting on a ride/bus, a doctor's office, or are just bored.

The app starting screwing up so I updated it to fix it and all it did was make the app more unusable. Before and after the update every single article I go to I can only see the words on the article if I am scrolling or are above it the words. If I try to scroll to where the actual words are to read properly the whole page goes white, so every article is useless. I thought updating it would fix it but turns out it's a bug on all versions.

I've had this app for years and I have hoped that it would stop freezing up but no. I uninstall, reinstall but after about 10 minutes it stops. If there is anyone that can help with this problem. I would appreciate it.

lots of sites present real news along with celeb nonsense, it's true. but buzzfeed has always been there with it's unique blend of chaos and seriousness, and even though I'm too old for this website now I can't leave it alone.

I love this app because it's basically like a news website cause it informs u of the latest news and has many quizzes u can go through!And there is product recommendations for cheap and great products!10/10

I like taking the quizzes and reading some articles but it crashes or freezes all the time. Please fix this! It's so annoying when I am in the middle of reading or taking a quiz and it all of a sudden freezes up on me.

Please, PLEASE stop including gifs in articles that you can't tap to stop. There are very few articles where the gifs stop when you tap them, please make all gifs like this. It's so difficult to read things when there's a gif repeatedly playing above/below the text. And why are there so many quizzes?? Would be good if you could select things you prefer to see/not see, so I could block quizzes, Harry Potter and pointless 'celebrities' on my home feed, and highlight what I want to see more of.

I love buzzfeed, it helps pass the time and they have such a variety of topics/things to do on there. I have been a loyal daily buzzfeed consumer for the past 5 years now. It helps keep me updated about modern stuff and also has fun articles.

It crashes a lot in the middle of an article and takes itself back to the main page. Very annoying and I usually end up finding the subject matter on a different website. Yes, I've un/reinstalled. It is up to date. It's done this for years.

Great content. Terrible app. Constantly freezing up, sometimes it freezes my phone completely. Would love to able to look at more than two articles at a time. By the third the app is beginning to act choppy and it becomes difficult to scroll through the article. Closing the app and restarting it is the only workaround, and that gets very tiresome.

I hate the recently read articles update. So annoying why would I want to read again!!!! And it's set to default list

There's an advertisement somewhere on the BuzzFeed app that keeps saying, "Ready, set!" But I don't even see this ad. The voice keeps popping up as I use the app, whether I'm scrolling on the homescreen or reading an article. It's really annoying, and gives you quite a scare since you never know when it's going to happen. It makes me not want to use it anymore.

You really need some quality control on this app. Fix the quizzes. White text on white background in dark mode is not helpful. Also, putting text on top of an image on quizzes where you have to be able to see the image to answer the question is bad. Finally, not a bug but a QoL improvement, show the final score on the results page.

I really liked this app, but recently a glitch started happening. I can't read my quiz results. The app now has no point. (P.s. a little annoyed the devs deleted my first review). I was kind and polite while stating the problem. Hopefully this one isn't deleted. Anyways, thanks for reading my ramble.

This app is awesome. I don't use it much but whenever i hang out with my friends, you can share quizzes with them based on any category and have a fun time disscussing your results

Outdated information. There's very little updates on current news. It seems like they are just promoting old Amazon deals that are from past years.

Buzzfeed's app appears embarrassingly outdated with it's commenting especially. There's a glitch where an annoying yellow button saying "omg" just spins in endless circles whether you're refreshing or not.

If you like Buzzfeed, you will like this app. If you don't like Buzzfeed, you will not like this app. I fit into the first category. ;)

Someone said below that after being on the app for 5 minutes, it makes their phone incredibly slow and almost impossible to close the app. It does the same exact for me too. I can't close it without having to wait a few minutes, then when it finally closes, none of the icons/apps on my phone will load. It'll take an entire minute to scroll down past one picture on an article.
