I've been with the bank for over 10 year and I've been able to adapt to all the changes just fine. Never did they shut down the bank for 3 days straight with no way to see your accounts. The new app is lame, not user friendly, took away great features, finger print, and it's so slow!!! The colors and font in the app are so BAM IN YOUR FACE. Geez what an upgrade, more like a downgrade. Seriously get it together!!

Lost fingerprint sign-in from last app. PIN alternative is inferior. Confusing design choices. Things are hidden, not where I would expect them to be. "More" doesn't have some of the key things I want to do. Key features like bill pay and mobile deposit are found via a floating plus button on the bottom. I shouldn't have to hunt so hard to find the things I need.

If you follow the instructions for the new login on the website first, you can access the app just fine. It was concerning that one of the two phone numbers offered for verification was not mine. I do miss the feature on bill pay where it told me when the payee was last paid and for what amount. You also have to navigate to another page to see what is already scheduled. Lastly, my loan account is showing up as an 'installment' and doesn't show history, amount due or due date. What improved?

AWFUL!! I try to log in with the CORRECT username and password and always get an error message and am unable to access my account. This never happened with the First Bank & Trust app, before Byline took over. Not ONCE have I been able to do mobile banking with Byline's app. Not once. I would rate them zero stars, if that was an option.

There are multiple errors that were reported and still not addressed. For example, on the mobile smartphone the statement routine does not function as it should. It should produce the screen showing statements available (it does) but then picking a month gives a window of something else. Did anyone check functionality before releasing this garbage? Let's get a little professional with the software. Maybe it's time to hire some real programmers!!!

why "fix" what wasn't broken? sure some aspects of the interface look sleeker, but the best features of the mobile app and online banking are now gone- and make banking with byline confusing and frustrating for the first time since i opened an account. plus, *every* first attempt to open the app encounters an error- then every second time works as normal. fix the bugs and bring back what made byline so great to begin with!

The worst! Why is it I have to input all my info every time I sign in, but given the option to remember me and my password?!? Also, enable fingerprint never works, or is even given as an option. Only time I was ever given the option was when I just updated the app. Who wants to be in public having to input sensitive info every time they open their bank app?! Nobody!! This app is the absolute worst. Doesn't include most have info available in app; like account and routing number...app sucks!!!!

buggy. keyboard Pop up and acts wonky when typing in password. upper case changes automatically to lower case before user can enter character. cause issue. app doesn't allow user to see the password entered. can't log in cause never able to completely get my password in before upper flip to lower case. other banking app works fine. did you all integrate the key board into your app? it's very VERY bad. Update: 2020 Nov. Still can't login. Something is wrong with login page.

2 things that bother me with this app. the 1st is that it has trouble logging in occasionally. I will type in my login info and it will say error. This just happens too many times for me to not write a review about my experience. It gets annoying particularly when I just want to see if my pay checks dropped correctly or not. The 2nd is that it doesn't have fingerprint log in by now..... Even with the whole rework of the byline system in February and up to now I still have to type my login info.

Unnecessarily Difficult. Required check photos taken through this mobile app for making deposits kept coming out blurry, and not acceptable. Had to retake them soooo many times to be accepted and go through for depositing. Excessive time spent for relatively simple banking transactions. NOT good.

Very picky about photos of checks for deposit and scrolling is odd. When you scroll down on some pages the first time it jumps back up to the top and you have to scroll down again.

Lately the app seems to keep forgetting that I've used it before. I get logged out, have to log in as if I am a new user, and then need text verification on my phone. It never remembers my login information, and even after I do login and set up a passcode, it keeps forgetting the passcode making me go through the whole setup process again. This has become the absolute worst app that I actually have to use, and it's getting to the point it might be best to consider a different bank.

Good.... but after a number of requests, the mobile app still does not allow one to put in a reason for transfers from one account to another. I need that and have always had it with other mobile banking apps. I know it's allowed in the web app, but that's not good enough. I don't want to have to go to my desktop PC to have to make notations. Please fix this. Otherwise, a very dependable, and instantly available method of banking. Thank you.

Its just ok. Check depositing is slow and doesnt always get a good photo. Sometimes you have to retake or check will get rejected. Other popular banks have an automatic focus so you dont have to worry about surprise returns. Seems like byline doesnt care to update the way they bank online

Unlike most if the bad eviews i was able to sign into the new app once it released. However it is still a terrible app. Instead of changing from Pop Money over to Zelle, there is now People Pay, which has an arbitrary $500 limit. I cannot pay bills or rent the way I used to through Pop Money except through multuple transfers. There is also no way to get simple informatjon like account and royting numbers. And the app layout, look and function is just plain worse.

Lost fingerprint login in the transition to the new app. It's a crappy layout and color scheme. Isn't friendly toward Lastpass, have to delete the last character of the auto-fill password and re-enter it. Hope it improves quickly.

I have been using this bank since 2004 when it was Archer and this is by far the worst change ever. Again this morning the app is unavailable for use. Even when the app is functioning it is pathetic. This wasn't an upgrade it was a downgrade. I cant even make transfers between a checking and savings account anymore. I am in the process of moving my automatic payments so that I can leave this bank for a more reliable and functional bank . I wish I could give 0 stars

This app is not convenient, easy to use, nor user-friendly. Why would you remove fingerprint recognition from your app (at least it's not available for me...)? Why does your app time-out on my personal phone? The font doesn't look right on my phone! I'm very disappointed with what you've provided. This online banking app is not an upgrade in my opinion. I have a Pixel 3 Phone...

I'm trying to run a business and the app and website are constantly not working. Balance rarely updates in less than 3 business days. Very Inconvenient and unreliable.. update as of October 2021. Can I have my $12 maintenance fee back ? I can log into the website on desktop, but not on mobile. Still unreliable and inconvenient. Updates and " maintenance" are disappointing and costly to my business.

ok now that the app is working and fully functional i have to say its way superior to the older version. lots of new and updated features. i guess it was worth the wait. fingerprint or retina scan would be nice. i hope everyone who gave 1 star for the beta version reconsiders after trying the fixed version!

After the most recent update in july 2021, the zelle feature disappeared from the app. It is not suppposed to disappear, since the bank still offers zelle. It is a bug that comes from incompatibility on some phones. It is completely ridiculous. Zelle and Byline need to sharpen up fast.

This app is useless. I have not been told what was wrong with the old app that needed to be fixed. I used the old app to transfer funds between my accounts, and cannot do that anymore. I used to be able to make payments with Popmoney, and cannot do that anymore. Without those functions, I cannot think of a reason to keep any of my accounts with Byline. This app may be the reason Byline Bank loses my business. This has nothing to do with transitioning apps. This is a change in functionality!

This app is extremely frustrating. After the first time of logging in, all times after that it will tell you that you're using an invalid login. What's the point of this app, when I always end up having to log into my account with my computer because the app never works?

I have been with this bank since 2005 it was North Community Bank. when I have had issues they are always resolved quickly and professionally. On February 22nd they began transitioning to this new app. All bank customers received a letter in the mail and the notification was on the old app for 2 weeks before they shut it off Friday. the new app appeared on Monday as promished and should be up amd running sometime today. I know and trust them. Thanks the kind of bank you want to be with!

The app keeps having me "authenticate". It makes me reset my password. Once I do it says that was a previous passwords used. Obviously because that was the correct password it made me reset. It seems to do this every so often & I'm getting tired of it. **Update** It's been more of a pain to use. I have to enter my password again to use zelle or view statements once I'm loggedin. I think it's time to close my account & find a new bank.

Can you add back in, read only users? Quicken and other budget / investment software use this feature to update files. Downloading and importing transactions into budget software is very time consuming. Was disappointed when this feature was lost in the merger upgrade.

If I could rate this app no stars I would. Customer service is nonexistent and obsolete. Useless. They make you jump through so many hoops to get nowhere. I followed all the directions just to say it doesnt work. It then told me to contact customer service who wouldnt answer.

after a rough start it seems to be working well. loads quick and option button makes navigation easy. not bad once you get used to the changes. deposit works well and bill pay is back. like i said rough start but the bugs have subsided.

It works but it is not intuitive the continue button is in a strange place. It also doesn't take the picture for you. You need to hit the shutter button twice. Other banking apps are easier to use.
