I initially had the app for years and it started to get glitchy on me so I uninstalled it. Seems like many bugs have been fixed and the mini podcasts are a great addition!
Ok app for the timers and the conditioning. But and a big but, I have been running what I know to be 2.5 miles. The distance traveled only shows a mile. And the help section says to adjust height so it can figure stride length? What the heck does my stride length have to do with it if the GPS shows exactly where I went?
Of the apps I've tried this program makes the most sense and is challenging, but not overly difficult. My issue is that while the main screen acknowledges I've finished workouts they don't show up in my achievement total. For instance I've done 13 workouts but only 9 show up in my achievements. Customer service told me to make sure I click through all the way to the "social screen" after a workout. That has dropped a workout too. Poor development that it shows in one place but not the other.
It's an excellent app that definitely gets you where it says it will. Building up your stamina and testing your resolve (week 5, day 3, you definitely have the ability but you need determination to push yourself) to make sure you reach your goal. Pure gold.
Free version works well for my purposes. Only down side is that I can't see my stats, like calories or distance, unless I upgrade but I use my fitness watch for that anyway. Overall good app and definitely reccomend to beginners or people who have been out of the game for a while.
I have really enjoyed the guidance in beginning my journey to running a 5k nonstop! After 4 weeks I really feel that it is possible, for someone who has never been cardio affiliated, to actually become a runner. Everything is broken into sets and each week you realize that you can go further than the week before. Loving the process!
Quit smoking cold turkey in 2020 and the next day started this app. I can't believe how hard it was to breathe while running. But after sticking through the app, I could now run 20mins without stopping! Still working on getting to 5k but the improvement is amazing.
Wounderful. In just the second workout I noticed improvement. Less tired more confidence. The calendar helps me to be accountable. I LOVE the audible cues, let's me concentrate on my workout. Yes !!! Ty
Buggy. 1) always ask permission every start. 2) The apps quit by itself after around 20 mins of exercise. Subscription a bit expensive, it's better have several choices of subscription with lower price option
Coming back to running after a long hiatus, this app is great for starting. It's made the difference for me in avoiding injury from going out too fast, too hard, as I'm inclined to do. I'm using it to prepare, in baby steps, for a half marathon in 9 months.
I've used the program several times. Despite thinking there is no way I'll be able to accomplish the next increase on several occasions, I always manage. It is a realistic and very helpful program. If you do the work, it works.
It works! As a 40-yr-old man, I've tried to run several times through my life without succeeding beyond a mile. Now, At week 6, I am seeing unprecedented improvements in my endurance and running form. Looking forward to completing my first 5k!
Took me from a kid who could run 30 secs at a time tops, to running seemingly forever. All over the course of a few months. Great program, great app!
Just started using the Ap Stops working after the 2nd or 3rd round. Ie warm up /run 60 sec/walk 90s / run 60sec/walk 90 sec...the. The ap dies and i have to restart. Did this 3 times...gave up and made the rest up for the session. Any help welcomed Emailed and entered forum chat...no responses as yet. A shame, was looking fwd to gradual progression... Ps Android system, Oppo phone
Either u use the phone or watch. The 2 version run on it own. Does not sync with each other will running. The watch version is laggy. Does not immediate prompt instruction.
The voice lines are a little intrusive and unnecessarily long. Other than that, love the app and the workouts.
Where is my purchase? I've had this app for years and paid for the ad free version years back but now when ever I try to restore my purchases, I get nothing and app tells me I have no purchases. Whilst the app works fine, it is riddle with the very thing (ads) I paid for to be removed. Can someone provide me with assistance please?
The app crashed when I'm almost done with a run so progress for that run is lost. I suspect this is because of the pop up ad that tells people about the Zen lab unlimited and the other apps from the company. please fix this nonsense. If your advertising leads to your app being unusable, I interpret that as having completely upside down priorities.
So far so good. The GPS has worked fine for me except for one run, but Google fit had the info so it didn't bother me. What I don't like is that I can't seem to change it to km. The app is called couch to 5k and it's in miles. Definitely my biggest irritation for this app so far. Besides that, it seems to do what it's supposed to do! Edit: not sure when it happened, but I can now set the units to km. Bumped to a 5 star!
