It's possible to undo these changes from the app, or simply rebooting your device.

* REQUIREMENTS ***-Root permissions.-Updated Busybox.
**
* HELP ***Make sure you have superuser (root) permissions, lastest version of Busybox, and enough free space on your device if you want to move cache into userdata. You will need at least 32MB of free space in order to create and mount new cache. (Maximum cache size will be half of the free space or 128MB)
To wipe cache data, simply press "Wipe cache" button.Keep in mind that capacity and free space of cache could differ after wipe, because system reserve some space for other operations.
To use Tmpfs (shared RAM or SWAP memory), choose this option and press "Move cache".
To create new cache file inside device data storage, choose this option and select desired capacity and press "Move cache" button."Force ext4 FileSystem" option should be unchecked only if move process not work with this option checked.
If move process is successful, cache information will be updated.To revert process, just press "Restore cache" button.If device is rebooted, it will use original cache again.

For some reason, it wont let me download this and is saying error "110". Im really confused.do you kniw what is wrong with my tablet
I found this completely useless. Instead of helping me update my app, it gives me this problem: ERROR, cache not wiped, and other stuff
The good side - it cleared my cache for me, which freed up just enough space to download the app I was looking at. The bad side - it did not modify my cache size using either method available. But at least the app told me that the resize failed. Samsung Captivate S - CM7

Necessary for when my tablet decides it hates to do the stuff and things I tell it to. Helps keep skynet from getting too uppity
So I also have the error 498 problem and I got alot of different resources telling me to download cache fixer and so I did but in the end it just says "cache not fixed" , the only reason why I gave this a 3 star rating was because alot of people said that it worked for them .
This app saved my phone.from the bin. Endless Google play errors solved with this beauty of an app.
Doesnt work, keeps saying error. I have closed all apps & still hasnt worked for my Htc Desire
Thanks for such rare apps that help enabling tmpfs. Hopefully u can provide more tuning options in future to maximize full tmpfs potential. Keep it up!
Once you root your phone and get busybox installed, this app was a one-click fix to my 498 error. Highly recommended.
Used to give this app 1 star. I raised it to 3 in recognition that it's now working. Esp with class 10 sd card installed. An autorun function is still badly needed tho.

Installed this to fix error 498 in Google Play (app size exceeds cache size) when trying to download Angry Birds Space on my HTC Desire with CM7. The app successfuly resized my cache to 128MB on the SD card, but the change causes Google Play to force close.
I can see that my cache size is only 3 mb but when i enlarge the app it says Error Cache NOT moved. i have rooted. and I have a Xiaomi mi 2sc. I have busybox
This app fixes the horrible bug Play Store sometimes has: the "insufficient storage avaible" issue when you have plenty of space free.

MUST FORCE CLOSE MARKET FIRST. Open some process manager and force close market or it will not work. Then run. Now download everything with more then 30mb. :D
It keeps saying error messages that my cache can't be erased or moved
Am receiving error 498 when trying to download an app on my Hauei y220 so I don't know what seems to be the problem!
I can't move cache, wipe cache & even the goddamned error 498 is always showing.
I downloaded this app and I only had 2 options, clear the cache or move it. I tried both and it said "cache NOT cleared" and "cache NOT moved"
Every time i try to do somthing with it; it just says error cache not cleared! Plz fix

As with most users, seems to only work for half of the downloaders. 50/50 chance.

5 stars! its working perfectly to fix the 498 error! not for noobs and unrooted phones though :)
I finally got past that annoying 498 error! This worked well for me, but obviously, it didn't work out for some users... I wonder why? Perhaps the developer could work on fixing that.
This finally fixed the extremely annoying "insufficient storage" or "error 498" problem that for months has prevented me from installing or updating any apps greater than 30MB from the Google store. This was the one and only reason I decided to root my device, and after I did so, it fixed the problem perfectly! You do need to root your phone for this to work, and for that I recommend checking out SuperOneClick. That along with this app is the perfect fix to those really irritating errors, and gave new life to my phone!
