Just like the previous reviewer, an updated version of the app was installed on my phone and now I can't log in. It doesn't recognize my email. I reinstalled the app with no improvement. I went to the website and can log in. It showed my points and a $10 credit. I can't redeem my credit or build up points if I can't log in on the app. I guess I will have to avoid my regular stops at Cafe Rio until they get their app functioning.
Cafe Rio used to have a very user friendly and efficient app, then they updated it. It deleted all my points including 10$ credit for a free meal. On top of that I have tried to add points 4 times since the app was updated and it has only allowed me to once. It always comes up with some error code and won't let me get points for my meal.
Edit: 5/2/22- the app is functional again, I'll update to 5 stars later this week if the app works. Edit 2/3/22, app is still total trash, doesnt work at all with my galaxy s8+, it states my phone has been rooted and then closes itself. Wouldnt recommend.
A few weeks ago the app said I needed to call in for a catering order. My points, worth $30, were never added. I called with my order number, they said the points would be added in a day or two. It's been two weeks :(
I just upgraded and it wiped a my rewards out. Doesn't connect with Facebook app, which is where I think the rewards were. All of it lost.
My App has not been working. Every time I tried to log it tells me that the APP is in Development Mode and I dont have permission to open them. Does anybody else has that problem.
Well your latest update broke the ability to log in. I get an error that the app is in developer mode. How is it you mange to make the app worse with each update??
Why change the old app? Much better than this new one. I have 44 pts. in one site & 23 pts. in another. What's up with that? Not even your employees can help with the new app.(Not their fault) How can I get my points in one place/site? And what happened to my old points. That's not right. I've been a loyal customer for a lot of years. A lot. 😔
Welp, just tried to order cafe rio on the app. Said I needed to update. Installed update and now it's just a plain white screen. Exited and reopened and still white screen.
New update won't let me log on. Tried resetting my password multiple times. Tried making a new account. Nothing. Can't log in, and there is no support button.
*update: contacted support and haven't gotten anywhere. Still can't update my card info New update isn't working properly. Can't update payment information when checking out.
There are always positive empoyees. The food is fresh and delicious! This is my favorite restaurant site to visit. It's well managed.
While the interface has changed to select food, it STILL clears your cart if you accidentally click back too many times and leave the app or even toggle to another open app, like say a text with a list. You then have to start your order all over again. Rewards should automatically add to your cart with the choice to remove. You can't tell if they're added, like double rewards, until your transaction is done and you didn't get them.
Awful app interface. Hard to navigate. Slow and choppy. And everytime I leave the app I have to start over. Entering my payment couldn't be more difficult with it constantly getting stuck on a loading screen and then forcing me to back out and order again and again and again. Worst food app I've had to deal with and will not be using it to order.
The most stressful app ever!!! If you accidentally click out of the ordering menu everything in your cart disappears and you have to start over. If you take too long to check out the pick up time has to change, and you get stuck with a loading symbol. If you refresh you lose your order and have to start over. It always takes me 3 times to get it to work and by then my pick up time is pushed so far back. So annoying!
Needs lots of refinement. Looks good on surface, bad underneath. If i received a phone call or anything that made me switch out of the app and then go back, I had to reenter everything again. I was placing an order for 6 people. It won't let you edit a line item; you have to delete it and start again. After entering each person's order up to 4 times (depending on where I was in the process) I finally got to payment and submitted the order. It "failed to talk with the server." Starting over.
If you looking to just get and use points, or use the promotions, this app is great. But ordering is hassle that's just not worth it. Over and over it refreshes itself, deleting your entire order. I've been trying for 15 minutes to make a simple order and when I finally made it to the payments page it refreshed again, like it's been doing every 30 seconds. Also, they need more detailed ordering online. Not all options are available.
The app told me of a coupon but wouldn't add it automatically. After entering my order twice, I finally wrote down the code. I tried to send again with the code and it wouldn't work. I ended up having to recreate my order eight separate times and eventually found out it won't take a gift card. So in the end I have to go in anyway. Worthless app. The app should have the ability to save your order when you click on another tab. I shouldn't have to enter my same two items that many times.
The peak of poor user interface is this app when trying to enter your credit card information. After 4 digits it skips the cursor back into the middle of the last four. The first digit of the next four gets entered twice and when you hit backspace it puts the cursor before one of them. It's a mess. There are other user ability flaws but this one is the worst by far.
Before the recent update, I didnt have a problem ordering through the app. It was great! I have tried to order on the app over the past five days and each time I would have my order complete and ready to checkout, but it would tell me that an "unexpected error has occured". I like the new setup... I just wish I could complete my order and simply pick it up.
This app is incredibly buggy, the interface isn't well designed either. Finding what you're looking for isn't all that intuitive. I cannot place an order because the order disappears and goes back to the new order screen before I can finish checking out. It disappears when you leave the app or at random. Cafe Rio and the developers should be embarrassed by this product.
It is convenient when ordering so long as you don't accidentally tap a different menu button (when ordering, suddenly tapping on offers, and you go back to ordering) your order is erased. Basically you change menus, your order and zip code are gone and you gotta start from scratch again. Update: 4/2/20 It's better now. It works the way it should! Hooray!
Terrible app, great food The app resets your order every time you go to a different app! Even if you get a notification that you interact with - reset. Want to look at your text messages to see what others want - reset. Entering credit card info is a pain as it doubles some numbers and then jumps the cursor to random places in your credit card number. So frustrating! Worst. App. Ever.
Great food but non functional app. Over the last 2 years I have not been able to order on the app without errors (often preventing me from being able to order at all) UPDATE: Update has improved the app and I can now order but there are still a lot of problems. One example is when entering a credit card number the keyboard constantly reverts to alphabet and using the backspace moves the cursor all over the place so it's very difficult to input a number.
