CaixaBank Pay: Mobile payment
What you'll need to start shopping with your mobile:
- Your mobile: an Android smartphone, version 4.4 or later, with contactless technology (NFC).
- The CaixaBank Pay app: install this on your device.
- Upload your card to your phone: Using the app, you'll be able to upload your cards FREE OF CHARGE.
How it all works:
1. Sign in with the same log-in credentials that you use for Línea Abierta online banking.2. Select the card you'd like to upload to your phone.3. Move your phone towards the POS terminal until you hear the confirmation "beep".4. Enter your PIN if the transaction amount is over €20.5. And that's it: payment completed!
Please note: For the payment to be carried out, your phone screen will have to be lit up.

Works fine but it's terrible that we have to use this app instead of allowing us to add the card into Google Pay! Edit: even after disabling paying with this app, it still interferes with my google pay. Just uninstalled and will close my account. Substandard quality from CaixaBank as usual
Tap to pay notifications disappeared. This way it takes almost 2 minutes before you open the app wait it loads click the card then fingerprint before you can actually pay. It is inconvenient.
It works as intended up to the point of an update that without notice happens and deletes all user information. And you open the app to pay for something like you always have done before to find out the app looks like this is the first time you ever opened it asking you for all the information again. What am I supposed to ask the people waiting in line behind me to wait until I do it all over again? Edit (new update) : could you guys kindly stop making updates? :(
Was forced to use this app as Google Pay is no longer supported with Bankia cards. Horrible experience, much more complex and adds unnecessary steps to an otherwise easy process. Seriously hope Google Pay will be supported once again, as this is awful customer service after being charged exorbitant service payments for having a bank card compared to other banks I have accounts in (which SUPPORT Google Pay like any other normal bank does)
Edit:. Looks like app has been updated and is working again. Thank you. Edit 2: not working again. It says my card has a different number and am unable to pay in shops. No idea why there is a different card number.
The integration with CaixaBanc Sign is awful. Unresponsive, the communication between them does not always work, and it even crashed.
Since the last system update I can't use my credit card. I unlock the system popup with my fingerprint but the app doesn't unlock, it freezes. This makes the app useless.
Went to the bank to fetch money. It wanted me to log in!!! Why??? I have no WiFi in the bank so It is worthless to me if I have to carry a card anyway. UPDATE: now also needs a screen lock! No thanks!
Great app and very convenient. Don't need to carry my wallet and find my bank card... just pull out my phone and tap the app. Instantly pay for my purchase and sort my purchase.
I cannot pay with CaixaBank if Google Pay is the default payment method. I have the option enabled, to replace the default payment method when another payment app is open, but still whenever I try to pay with CaixaBank, Google Pay takes over
terribly fussy and complicated. apple users get it so much easier. caixa just control and obsess to the point that its almost useless
Excellent app... I can send money from my account without getting charged for a simple transfer. Online transfer will cost almos 4 euro... And will arrive tomorrow. I mean next day.
Disappointing mix of yet another password to remember. Basic usage is OK but finding it in caixa's app is not good as the have 2 apps not one
My phone is a Samsung A50. I phoned the numbetyou indicated and have discussed it twice with them. Still not working. Worthless.
It's such an easy way of transferring money. The only recommendation I have is to create a more secure mode to avoid fraud.
Very fast and no more need to wait and search for coordinate card. Makes life easier and faster this way

Getting started via a link from Bizum to Caixa on my PC was in conclusive. Never found Bizum activation on my PC. Persevered found the app in Google.
suddenly I can't pay with this. And I'm trying to activate the card also doesn't work. I don't how my card was removed from the app.
The app works fine but it should be only one embedded with caixabank now. Also it should be allowed to use Caixa cards with google pay.
Absolutely useless. I wasted three hours of my life on this app to no avail, all this app has managed to do is make me want to change banks.
Absolutely terrible. Worked fine at first but now it just closes every time I open it. What's the point of having it any longer??
Easy to use with my mobile phone. I am confident with the securities they have implemented in this app hope La Caixa will include a tool to retrieve money incase of improper transaction
Promising, but harder to use than the default caixabank app. Why do I still need to use my magic numbers card when I have fingerprint security?
Not always works well, and the possibility of selecting which card you want to use is not always available
How many times do i have to call customer care and ask for online payment solution. Always gives error of digital signature. Edit- Though I'm commenting here. I'm talking about the Caixa Bank Now app.
So far, perfect functioning when it comes to sending and receiving money. I would like to have access to my Caixa account movements
Easy to use. Good integration with the Caixa Bank Sign aplication. Works very well.
Good but needs improvement. Can't change favourite card, so always uses same one. Only shows favourite card, so can't use my imagin card. I tend to use sams9pay, which does everything this app does but allows me to use both. As others ha e pointed out, it also crashes when paying sometimes.
