The mobile deposit function is absolutely horrible. I have given up trying to use it. I tried to retake the photo many times on multiple occasions and the app inexplicably crops my photo and cuts off the edges. If I do manage to capture the entire check, it fails to deposit the check stating the lighting is bad which is not true.
when the app works it's good. basic app. The 1st issue I've had with the app and bank is that, the app wont show you your entire account numbers just the last few digits. and if you call and even give them your social and answer your security questions, they still wont tell you the acct #'s. it's a pain. Then the app hasn't been letting me log in for about a week now. I even called and they fixed it while we were on the phone. but as soon as I log out, I cant get in anymore. same error code!
The app works fine. Three stars... because of the constant Ads to refer friends or to download the Money Manager app. I tried it, didn't care for it... Ads persist. When scrolling the transactions they'll popup right under my thumb and I'll tap it, by mistake. Then a browser or The Play Store will open. It can occur 2 or 3 times within a few minutes. Sure we can close them, but they always come back. Let us Opt-out... *Let us hide Ads*
Very unreliable. Been having issues with incorrect amounts (more than what's there). Figured it would become better with time & updates...as of now it hasnt. Seems to lag behind on account amount info. Don't rely on the app alone. Lesson learned & disappointed.
Mobile deposit does not work. I used it to deposit a check and it went through no problem... except I get a letter in the mail later telling me that it actually didn't because the images were messed up. If the images weren't OK the app should have said so when I did the deposit, right? Unfortunately I had already shredded the check, silly me. Hopefully I can get a reissued one, otherwise I'm out $500 in the middle of a pandemic with no job. Cool.
Why "fix it" if it's not broke? App use to be great & worked fine. Now I enter my ID code & pw, CACOCU tries have to send me an email to verify that never arrived, and they freeze me out after so many tries and give me a number to call to verify it's me. The number is always busy. So much for convenience when one has physical disabilities to visit CACOCU in-person.
I used to like the app a lot but now I can't even log into my account anymore. Really frustrating. UPDATE: Cal Coast called me like 10 min later and was able to help me fix the problem, super helpful.
(Please help) I'll change my rating once the issue is resolved. I'm just having an issue on the Nokia C5 with the Finger Print log in. I Wana activate it. But as soon as I scan my finger the screen goes white and I've even left it as is. And hopefully it'll go from a white screen. I've aswell tried uninstalling and reinstalling. And yet nothing. Please help. Also I've contacted support and nothing. It's been awhile.
Go app. But it should show all your transaction like a monthly statement on the app not just online I like to see all the figures like a ledger does not just the amout of withdrawl and dep. Want the full figure wrote out cuz I dont know of some of my deposits that were over 500. They hold for days and it doesnt shoe it went back in to my acct and it hasent 2 tumes before otherwise love it
Generic banking app that does most basic features fine, however recently the mobile deposit feature broke for me which was primary reason I used it. Same problem others have: taking a picture of the cheque's back hangs up and wont actually continue the depositing process. Fine app other than that.
This app has limited functions! You cannot pay your credit card payment from a different bank on this app. You have to log in to the website in a browser to make a payment! I love Cal Coast overall but this app is very limited.
Constantly "down for maintenance", check deposit won't always work. Customer service line of course cannot provide any answers as to why. I've been with CCCU since I was 18 and the experience with them the last few years is making me consider going to Navy Fed.
Horrible app. There is no way to send a secure message to the credit union. You have to do it via a desktop computer. Not an option for me and very inconvenient.
For all you people who can't deposit by taking a picture, if the check has a watermark(not a literal water mark) it won't take the picture correctly. For those checks you need to go into the bank.
Can't remember login info and no way to get it. Most apps have something you can click on Forgot Password, which helps you, if you can't remember password or username on this app, there is no way to get it
This app is not reliable since I cannot log onto the app itself. There's an error message, so I've uninstalled so that it possibly resets the software.
Great and simple app that has everything you need for banking. However, those ads are annoying please get rid of them.
The Calcoast app is nowhere as helpful or sophisticated as the big bank's and challenging to navigate when attempting to utilize some functions.
Great app! Very user friendly. Would give it a 5 star if the account nicknames were shown in the app. Please add this to the app!
The app does most of what I need. However where it falls short is external transfers. For this reason I do most of my banking out of #1 U.S. big bank
This app does not show APR on loans and credit cards on your account. This doesn't allow people to make sound financial decisions about spending . Fix it and I'll fix my rating.
I just can't log on! Its stressful! Just suddenly appeared the error message. Thumbs down.
Mobile deposit keeps getting stuck after taking picture of the check back. Otherwise good app.
I am glad I choose this bank. My family goes to another credit union and there are always long lines. Not with CCCU. Plus we have more and better benefits with our bank.
Useful for checking balances, but Secure Messaging and External Transfers are not supported on the app.
I do most everything online, and rarely need to go into branches. I love it!
Features are dated and is in need of a tune up/upgrade. Transaction memos don't allow the simplest special characters, no way to send messages to CU in app, acct nicknames don't display so it's hard to distinguish multiple accts you may have of the same type, can't schedule recurring transfers, can't view draft images or statements, the list goes on. I end up having to use online banking for what I need vs using this mediocre app. 2 stars only because I can see my bal and transactions.
