Caltrans cameras typically take a new image every minute or two. Every 10 minutes, or once every 10 frames, am archive image is taken and kept for 24 hours. This is useful for viewing developing weather conditions, construction, heavy traffic, etc.
All road info and Caltrans cameras are on a Google Map with the current traffic layer.

Cameras never work. Always out of order
Not what I was hoping for. This is ideal as a platform for the live cameras, with live video. It does provide live images and gives users a snapshot of traffic. My app shut down repeatedly, so improvements would help in this area to consider reinstallation of this app.
