The App is getting worse after recent major update. 1) the Fahrtpause - ride break function is removed without a notice. 2) A Flex fee of 1 EUR is ALWAYS charged for each ride, despite of returning the bike to the exact bike station indicated on the map. The new GPS system simply does not work, so don't bother. Clear a problem with the upgrade because I have been CAB customer since many years, never had this issue before. Now it seems like to be the time to switch to competitors. Schade.
Awful service. DO NOT USE. Left the bike in the stop, the GPS detected that it was outside, no answer from CS. My bf card didn't have credit, they sent a vicious letter demanding for the money and adding 5 euros. He charged the card, told them, they didn't reply, but wrote a separate email ignoring what he wrote and adding another 5 euros, threatening. Extremely expensive and money grabbing shamelessly. Better to buy a metro ticket or buy a bike. Rude, not bothering with an email in English.
After the update on 30 November, 2021 the app has become useless. I can't log in with my previous registration and the information center also just avoiding phone calls. Very poor update and the lowest customer service. Keep this trend and you will lose the major part of your customers. Good luck 🤞
Also after 2022 relaunch: Opening the app the first time: Error message. Server cannot be reached / is down. === Old: 2 bikes not found, 3 bikes with confusing error messages. No ride. According to support, 3 days later, the credit card needs to be updated. Why not tell me before I can even open the map? Website does not load in Chrome/Firefox because of Javascript bugs, so I cannot check any payments settings. I do not want to know about safety of the bikes after those major problems happened.
Why does it need to be a different app with a different login? I'm already a Deutsche Bahn Client, why can't I use the same login? This is basic customer experience, folks!
I couldn't use the app because today the app suddenly was not connected to my account So i updated the app and the update is even worse, cannot even get it started It seems to load something and then freezes Totally unreliable...
after the last update I couldn't login to my account, I was getting stuck at the step of validate data without an indication what I do wrong. I needed for some reason to reset my password and then it worked
This app keeps withdrawing money from my card although I used it a bike only once more than a year ago, DON'T INSTALL IT!
Cannot login after updates. The system does not recognize my email I'd, phone number which I have been using for Soo Long.. I don't know what is the problem. My payment process has changed and I cannot modify it as I cannot login. Totally disappointed
I've been had a one year subscription for the service which I now cancelled. The bikes are fantastic. The app is acceptable, it's a bit outdated in comparison to the competition. The service hotline is helpful for easy request. The unacceptable problem is their lousy server infrastructure. It happens far too often that one cannot rent _any_ bike for no obvious reason. It gets worse. About once in a month I had that my return did not work. This mean lots of calls to their hotline. Can't recommend
Edit: Once you set up the account with the new app (which was a bit of a hassle the first time), the system works better than it was before. Renting a bike with QR code is easy and convenient.
Download app, register new account and then try to login. Invalid email or password error. Password not incorrect but even still forgot password doesn't even work. Why offer a service if people cant use it?
Feels like the app gets worse every day. Apparently the bike positions don't update for a long time. Regularly the all shows bikes at a station that aren't there, but doesn't list the bikes that are there. On multiple occasions the all showed the wrong unlock code for the bike I rented and I had to context costumer support. But by far the worst thing about it is, that either the GPS receivers on some of the bikes are trash or the free return stations are badly flagged, because you get charged
I'm a very patient person, this app is really challenging me to stay it. It's THE worst shared mobility app I have ever seen. And I see many of them in very different countries. Very basic features are not working, login and forgot password for example. I wonder how they won the call to return as official Berlin shared bikes provider. Please, fix the basic login issues, refactor the app if needed, currently is simply miserably unusable. Which is a pity considering the good quality of bikes.
Set up a verified account with a payment method. I'm logged in and still it gives an error in the app "Es wurde kein kunde gefunden". I tried contacting help online using the form, but the submit button also didn't work in the browser. I filled the help form correctly. These are two errors that need fixing.
Very bad app and website. Trying to rent a bike - app says "you can't rent this bike, try another one...". Tried 5 different bikes - the same error. Calling support, answer - you don't have payment card, old one expired. So why app does show wrong error? Ok, let's assume it is by design.. You can't change your data in app, so you need to use website. And website is just a pile of bugs, you can't save any changes in payment section. Credit card saved, message is shown: "your changes saved" and... save is not working. Still wrong payment. End of story. Buy a bike instead of "call a bike"...
Very very bad service. 20 euro penalty if left outside of very small central city zone without any notification (service with the smallest zone in Munich). If something goes wrong you have to go back to the bike or pay the rent the rest of you life. The technical problems are not the customer's problems! Other services giving free minutes for the found problems, only "Call a bike" charges you for them. I expect more customer oriented behavior for 1 euro per 30 min
DO NOT INSTALL!!! This is the worst bike rental app I have ever seen! It always shows bikes that are not actually there and now I am being charged for a bike rental that is neither in my history of bookings or current bookings. I'm trying to call customer support to solve this but no one answers. Worst service ever!
It gave an error message without explanation. It turns out, I used a Dutch phone address, so I did not receive an activation text. Then my friend tried to rent a bicycle for me, as in the email it said he could rent two bicycles. This also gave an error message without explanation. I changed my phone number to a German one, and could not get it to resend the activation text. After spending half an hour of our limited time, we rented instead an Edeka bicycle in 2 min at less than half the cost.
I've never been able to rent a bike because the app would always give me error message but left the app as when I was installing it it was for free. Now I've been charged the service fee for next year...I do not recommend.
If you are from North America, Australia, New Zealand and other places of the world EXCEPT Europe, you'll just lose your money and gain nothing. You can never unlock the service using your phone and start using the services. You'll become to able to find it out only after paying. Of course, you'll be advised to contact the call centre, but the callcentre never answers your phone call. Even when I called 5 times a day, there was no response.
A registration process that takes longer than other competitors' services: you must call a customer service, services are not clearly detailed - except price - when you choose online what offer to subscribe...etc. Most importantly, city of Hamburg is advertised so you pay Call a Bike at first but then the app tells you you should have paid for another app in Hamburg.. the customer service team is definitely nice, but you don't need a nice customer service when you have a nice app :)
To be very honest, I am disappointed in this App and the pricing. I and my friend spent 30 mins on downloading, setting, resetting, activation code problems. When my App finally worked, my friend's App could not and never did. I couldn't also rent 2 bikes. He had to rent Edeka bike which was even cheaper. DB charged me 9€ for a 1hr+ biking while Edeka charged my friend 4€ for the same duration. Note: we made the same journey all together. The price and service are ridiculous and outrageous.
I am living in Germany and it works great for me. It is true, that sometimes (but very rarely) a bike is not at the shown spot or that the app charges you 5€ for not returning the bike at a station. But the call service is unbelievable good. You are talking directly to a person who can help you immediately (this is why 5 stars and not less). Thumps up
Absolutely negative experience. - complicated registration process - the light tariff was supposed to be capped with 9 EUR / 24h but I was charged over 11 EUR - I wanted to ask why they overcharged me. Website has a broken link to "contact us" section; when I eventually was able to send an inquiry to the customer support I never got a reply -
I would not recommend it.. Tried sooooo many times to login with the correct credentials but it didn't worked until 30 minutes later I was logged in. I try to contact the customer service for the payment, in English and they sent me back emails in German.. Hope we will finally make it at the end..
