Call Blocker

When the app was working, it worked ok, but it would shut off on its own and I would get spam calls all the time. I checked to make sure the battery optimizer wasn't affecting it and it wasn't, the app would just turn off on its own on a daily basis. Also, strangely enough, it blocked my friend and would send their call right to voicemail for no reason at all? I uninstalled it and went to another app that works just fine. Good riddance with this call blocker!

Simple, effective, no frills app. Does what it says. I'd installed one of the well-known BIG NAME antivirus apps that additionally said it would block unknown callers. IT DIDN'T. This app does exactly what it says. I installed it and have had no more robo calls. It's free, very user-friendly. Thank you developers! 👍👍👍 UPDATE: Worked great...for a while. Then it started muting sound notifications for incoming texts. I keep resetting the sound and it keeps muting it. 2 frustrating..uninstalling

I've set it up to block all calls from numbers that aren't in my contacts, and now those calls don't pop up on my screen and interrupt what I'm doing. :) This is fantastic, thank you very much! --- (A blocked number does appear in the app's notification section, so you can see who called if you need to, without the full-screen disruption.)

This app used to work really well but for some reason it told me to cut off optimization so it wouldn't shut itself off. Regardless it cuts itself off and remains off until I notice. I have to periodically check to make sure it's on or I get three spam calls or more a day. When it works it works great but recently it just turns itself off at random.

So I've been using this for few days and all seema OK apart from a one small issue, if I have the notification set to silent, as in it does not appear in the task bar, then the app turns itself off after a while and I have to open it and go into the settings to turn it back on, this is despite have battery optimisation disabled for the app. If don't have it on silent notification then it works perfectly, bit of pain as it takes up room on the task bar, but not the end of the world.

Working Great, except my block log is always blank, so i can't tell just how well it's working. My junk incoming calls have dropped off to just about zero so i guess it's working, just wish i could actually see how many are being logged as blocked though. The recent change in google rules can no longer block from call list, but if you hold down finger on phone log, copy, open the app and past into black list that seems to work.

It blocks calls. Works most of the time. This app used to be 5-star quality. It has been installed & used on my devices for about 5 years. Beginning in April of 2020, the app would stop working automatically. The in-app activation switch would suddenly be in the off position. It's not because of android's battery optimization (that's disabled on my device). It seems related to notifications. When recieving emails, texts etc., Call Blocker turns off automatically.

I absolutely love this app. It blocks all the junk calls very well. The only thing I don't like is that when calls come in it turns your phone's ringtone volume completely off so I have to turn the volume back up all day long and sometimes I don't get to it as I'm busy, then I find that I've missed calls from my boss, not good.

Some functions of organizing the contact numbers do not work properly. For instance, I may wish to add or delete any contacts from the black list, it sometimes shows that there are no more single entry In the black list and to see the recent update, it needs restarting and this is now really frustrating. Nevertheless, thanks and gratitude for the effort you have put into building the framework.

Had some problems in the past, and it lists every call in OR out where it says BLOCKED CALLS 🚫 but if you check your phone log it will be clear what was actually blocked. But it does its job great, I get up to 7 spam calls a day and none get through. Verizon says their going to automatically start doing the same thing, gonna try them out because this app has to constantly run to work, but we'll see if they can be as good, not hopeful for them will likely be back.

I love it! It's now more inconvenient than b4 when we could add numbers from the call registry, but it does more than just block the calls from ringing through, it blocks the caller from leaving messages too, so I still use it. I would prefer to block all calls until they leave a message & I approve the #, but only if I could block the messaging ability again, as it does now, after I add them. I would have rated it 5*s if I could still use the registry.

It blocked everything I told it to block. I wished it had a function to block area codes, but maybe I just couldn't find it. I would have kept using it, but my phone's battery started being eaten up super fast and seeing that it keeps running constantly as well as being the only thing I downloaded recently- it has to be the culprit. Which is unfortunate.

Downloaded the app to stop private and unknown numbers from contacting me, as the Pixel 2 does not have this feature. Despite having the app set to reject private and unknown numbers, I received a call from a private number just minutes after installing it. I've had the app for less than a day and gotten calls from 1 unknown and 4 private numbers. The app simply does not work, I wouldn't bother with it. Will be trying other solutions.

Occasionally, this app actually works, but most of the time it does not block unwanted numbers. Why it actually works once in a while but not most if the time, I don't know. I configured the app to allow only numbers on my contact list and white list. I'm in the process of testing another call blocker app before uninstalling this one.

It has only been 2 days of using this app and it blocked 4 spam calls already! By default the app will notify you it has blocked a call. You can silence that notification in android settings as I did. Nice and quiet. These calls are under control! This is so much better than getting a call, seeing the possible spam message from the local carrier, and letting it ring until the spammer gives up.

Works, but everytime it blocks a number, i need ro restart my phone to regain control of call/text volume, as it completely silences my device until restart. To summarize, when it works, the phone goes silent for calls and texts and cannot be changed until a restart is performed regardless of what option i use to attempt to turn it back up.

Very easy to use and understand. Oddly and also quite annoying is the fact that there's no way to block private phone numbers 'caller ID withheld' numbers on a Google Pixel 2 XL. So the user is forced to download a 3rd party app. Anyway I'm happy to use this app for this purpose. Even though the Google Pixel 2 XL/Android Operating System team should get their act together and enable this feature.

It works great to send unwanted call directly to voicemail. Unfortunately it also stops working overnight, every night. They have instructions in the app to prevent that, but it doesn't work. Edit: they appear to have fixed the problem. 5 stars.

This is the best app ever, but all of them work the same. If you are someone crying about spam calls, this is the app you want. You set the settings on no private or unknown calls and they all immediately go to voicemail. I then have my voicemail set up to say, if it's important text me, otherwise you won't reach me. Lol

The app served its purpose as far as blocking unwanted calls so that you can't hear them, but it doesn't actually block them because they can still leave voicemails. This app also interfered with the volume on my phone. I would turn the volume all the way up and it would be silenced and put back on vibrate or no ring at all.

Blocks calls very well. Phone doesn't even ring; however, also blocked one call that is in my contacts. Blocked calls go to VM, which can be good or bad. Also, doesn't require taking over whole phone, other than contacts, unlike other call-blocker aps I have tried, and doesn't eat my battery. Overall satisfied. Would recommend.

It does what it is supposed to do. No complaints. Update: After using this app for months have uninstalled. No one can call me at all. I changed settings and manually added each telemarketer, still no one call leave a message. I guess you either take all telemarketers calls or no personal calls. Ended up to be a bad app.

App is not working.. at all..! Calls are not being blocked.. at all..! Originally it actually worked, however, it's not working now—for the past 3 months. Calls have been ringing through, after the calls go to voicemail —THEN call block pops up with a notification. PLEASE FIX or it's time to find an app that actually works.

So far, installation was very easy and settings we're semi intuitive I'm waiting to see how well it works and I'll let you know what I discover. Update 3 / 22 / 22. This program continues to work well that's probably the best one I've used to date.

I actually like call blocker and have used it successfully without any problems. However, when I went to add numbers to te black list this morning from the call log I got a message that Google will not let the ap look at the call log. Shouldn't that be my choice, not Google's? This is one of the reasons that I have been using thw call blocker, because it was easy to add numbers to the list from the call log. I may have to find another option.

Had to turn this damn thing off! Probably will be deleting this app. It doesn't only block calls that you don't know and calls that are on The Blacklist, it blocks blocks calls on the whitelist and calls from the contacts. If I wanted to block every freaking calls, I just block it through my phone not to some stupid app. update---- 04.05.19 still as bad as it ever was. My voicemail shows up with voice messages, and they are from my contacts who are supposed to be able to get through.

I've been using this app for the past 2 years, it was great! But since April 2020, the app will suddenly turn-off automatically and not run in the background. Also when I'm on a call and another call comes in, it drops my call automatically! This was a great app but now I have to keep turning the app on and that's not good. Please fix this! Or I will have to look for a better app than this.
