Call Blocker and Text Blocker
You can easily block annoying calls from people you don’t know or people you know but do not want to talk to. Unwanted incoming calls are automatically silently sent to voice mail when blocked. You can filter unwanted calls to block calls using any of the 5 blocking modes as follows.
1. Blacklist mode – blocks all numbers in you blacklist. Numbers can be added to the blacklist from contacts, call history, or manually entered.2. Whitelist mode – blocks all numbers not in your white list. Numbers can be added to the whitelist from contacts, call history, or manually entered.3. Contacts Only mode – blocks all calls from numbers that are not in your contacts.4. Block All – Blocks all calls.5. Accept All – Accept all calls.
Also blocks incoming text messages using the same rules as incoming calls.
Support wildcard matching using the # character. Example: Block all calls from area code 713, add 713-###-#### to your black list and all calls and text messages from area code 713 will be blocked.
You can quickly add a range of phone numbers to the blacklist or whitelist by using wildcard characters. For example, if you want to block all the 800 numbers, you can add 800-###-#### to the blacklist.The # character is the wildcard, and is treated by Call Blocker as all digits between 0-9. All other non-numeric characters have no effect, so using white spaces or dash signs is allowed but will not impact the matching process.
The following three formats are regarded identical:
1) 800820####2) 800 820 ####3) 800-820-####
Country codes should not be used with wildcard match patterns. for example, if you want to block all numbers from area code 213 in the United States, use 213-###-#### and do not use 001-213-###-#### or +1-213-###-#### .

Easier to use than most apps. I like that! It blocks calls, but due to KitKat restrictions no longer blocks SMS. Some other apps have now taken over the messaging function, you make them default and they start to block messages again. Something to think about. Hate the obtrusive blue icon, would like an option to change or hide it. Finally, would like the option to pick up and drop calls.
It does not block texts at all, although it will tell you it did just to annoy you further. It also does not hang up on the calls it rejects, it sends them to voicemail. That means I still get bothered every time a call comes through. Seems like developers abandoned this a while ago.
I added numbers to be blocked and still received text messages from this annoying person. It's not cause I don't understand how to use it. It has simple instructions, which I followed. I added ppl to block on blacklist. Then it shows me, it blocked a message from that person I blocked, in grey area, and still see & receive the text mesage on both ends, my phone and the app 😬😠
This app is really easy and functional in its usage. It automatically blocks or rejects calls and text messages when the number is being added to the blacklist on the phone. You can easily select numbers from recent call list, phonebook and also past call lists which you wish to lock.
It has no way to shut the app off (other than unchecking all the boxes) if you don't want it to continually run and drain your battery, and it shortens my battery life by at least half. It also makes charging my phone take FOREVER.
Of all the ones I have tried, this one works best. Documentation could be better. For example, it is not clear if whitelist is active (I assume yes) for other modes (contacts only, for example). Being able to wildcard both blacklist and whitelist is great. I use this to allow all calls from my office and contacts and nothing else.
Not sure about this app. It wants to take up more space than it should. I got it for one phone number block. Now it shows up everyday reminding me about the ex that took everything and that the app is working and in what mode. I've love to set it and forget it. Don't need more reminders. I know, we need an app that simply reminds us about everything... NOT.
The blacklist is pretty good but it seems once u have those contacts in that u DO NOT WANT 2 C & hsve blocked+ have text mess blocked AND THEN Someone on ur contact calls that u DON'T want in a category and then they automatically get put on the whitelist. It gets blocked or no text. Then u don't have the option once that person is calling u their hung up on or u don't get their mess.
I still get texts from the psycho Texan I'm trying to block. I even went into the settings to block texts. Only reason I'm using this text is because Verizon said they will not block calls...which I think is part of the problem if I feel threatened they should go out their way to make sure their customers are protected. I should not have to use a third party app we do have rights
I just want to block calls & text messages.i don't know what "whitelist" is or means. You should explain more in your "read me" part. So far it doesn't do what it says but ill let it go a while & see if it works or not. I was getting 2am texts so i hope this works.
Thanks very much for this app. Could you please add the SEARCH OPTION. It will be so useful when somebody wants to add contacts to whitelist from phone contacts. It is so hard to scroll all the contacts list before adding the needed contact. I look forward to getting that option after next update. Kind regards. Frank AZE.
This app will block spammers before you even get a chance to put them on the list. The only bad thing is you'll have to check your block/blacklist to make sure it wasn't a number you need to contact.
After installing this app every time I get a call from a number messages come up on the screen covering everything saying it's likely spam and it shuts my ringer off so an hour later I'm wondering why my phone didn't ring and it's because the ringer shuts off everytime this app comes on. I've shut off all features of notifying me when a blocked number or spam call comes through but it doesn't seem to work. I'll give this app another week or two to see if all that stops if not I'll uninstall it
This was the only app out of the four I tried that let me set up a whitelist using the wildcards I needed (only calls from eight digit numbers OR my specific country code followed by eight digits are allowed through). The fact that it can be set up to run entirely in the background and just handle everything for you silently is also a big plus. Flexible, easy to use and light on resources - thanks guys!
Mr call block dont block texts. Thiss app has it all. I read a few of the reviews. The people who complain must not know how to use it. Its a easy app. And very helpful. Wen it comes to ppl calling ya and only want ur contacts to call. Thank u so much.! Not only is it perfectbfor me . My girls that are 10 have it also. It gives me a peace a mind! Great job on who ever made the app!
I used this app in order to block text messages that I cannot block because they are not using 10 numbers. I tried it as a test and it allowed me to input the five-digit number from which I do not want to receive texts. In less than 24 hours I received a text from that number and a message from the app saying it block the text. That did not happen. I was still annoyed by the text coming in.
Firstly I know how to use this app. That's not the problem, the problem is is I've spent 2+ hours on this n it doesn't work. I wanted only texts n calls from my contacts but it doesn't work... You still get calls from random numbers So I have to know who iwanna block. Even then it still doesn't block texts... You'll get them either way but now the app has a copy too? Useless
This is 3rd app I've tried & believe it was simple enough to set up. It worked for the most part the first few days, but this morning I wrote to texts from a number I've been blocking- I checked mode, option to add texts & even added number again from the recent list. Is there something else I'm not doing? P.S. I don't have any other blocker installed.
This app does not work at all. It did not black a single call or message. Not only does it still show up in your message box but also in the call blocked message area and blocked call areas. So you still see the blocked message or number. It is very annoying app and I am gonna find another one.
Still allowing texts from blocked numbers to get through. Not only do they come through in this app, complete with a notification, but they also go to my text inbox. I really didn't want to see anything from the numbers I blocked, not even a notification saying they sent a text. How can this be fixed? On the other hand, the call blocker is working just fine so far.
I put 1 contact in the black list & blocked txt as well with out notification call's & txt both still got threw. I would rate less than 1 star if i could,totaly disapointing.
The only call blocking app that is CONSISTENT in blocking calls not in my Whitelist. The app has a nice and simple design. It has the "ONLY WHAT-YOU-NEED-FEATURES". The developers has the USERS in mind when they designed the app. They managed to make the interface USER-FRIENDLY that's why I love opening the app from time to time even though I don't have to because it's a ONE-TIME SETUP kind of app. I'm grateful to the developers. IT'S FREE!!! My only request is that SMS Blocking would work on Android 6.0.1.
Does exactly what it says. Wildcard is awesome. You can set your own filters. I have to check if it's working in lollipop and above. If so more stars. Request a feature. In whitelist we need to set certain contacts or wildcards as "most important" so that when calls come from these numbers phone will ring even if the profile is silent. Time based blacklist/whitelist is also good. Last update was in 2014. Developer please note.
It DOESN'T WORK. I set it to only allow people in my contact list and other calls are still getting through. It also doesn't actually block any calls because they're still going to voicemail. When I download an app that claims to block calls IT NEEDS TO BLOCK CALLS.
It's a good App. It's not a filter. It blocks any call put in the Black List! No Ads! And a nice interface. The only thing I would like this App to do is not allow block calls leave messages in my voice mail. That's not working. Please fix this and you'll have five stars from all your Users. Thanks!
Still got blocked texts into Samsung's Messages app & notifications of them, even though i had no other text blocking app as suggested. Looking for something that I can never know my ex contacted me again. Uninstalling.
Blocked a call but still rings half a second or so. Can save to contacts with silent ringtone. But test textured from a blocked number, still went through...just says "blocked text" but sound went through and showed in messages. I want to completely block a number.
I've found myself even more frustrated then I was prior to. I downloaded the app to avoid specific people, however it must be running which drains my battery. After every phone call my headset is switched to vibrate...on it's own. I still get notifications that person blocked sent me a text, now just in two places
