The app works okay, but the only issue I have with it is it's constantly popping up after every single call which is quite annoying😲 you should be able to whitelist numbers that you regularly are in contact with so you do not have to deal with the call blocker app after every single call that you make or after every single call that comes in, I couldn't find the whitelist feature as I've checked several times???
I love having call, spam blocker. Problem is on my phone when that's in place anytime I get or make a call I have to silent the ringer. Otherwise the phone continues to ring in my ear the whole time. The person on the other end can't hear it, but I sure can! I called about the issue and was told I can't use any of the apps like it on my phone. This is a Jitterbug 2. I loved my old Jitterbug but it finally gave out. It was replaced by the Jitterbug 2.
It has changed my dial screen and everytime I am on the phone with someone it randomly dials my voicemail and there is no way to end that call and go back. So when you hit end call it drops both calls. And I have no clue how it is dialing it in the first place. There is no buttons that I can see to dial my voicemail while on a call. Plus the annoying ads as soon as you hang up
This app is horrible! It changes your default phone to their's, then when you call out or receive a call from family it beeps loudly in your ear. Not to mention, it sometimes wont let you answer or it will mute the call when you do answer. Then trying to end the call is a whole other story, thanks but no thanks. I'd rather deal with the scam calls.
Tried it out, but personally didn't see much point in it. You can always block and report a unwanted number directly from your phone, and incoming calls are then blocked before it reaches the phone. I''m leary about apps, particularly free ones, reading my contacts (data mining), even if they say they don't pass on your contacts with other parties, so i went ahead and uninstalled it.
I bough the APP due to its "begins with" capabilities, but I just can't find it. I'm going to ask for a refund, if It doesn't have this option. BLACKLIST: You can add any unwanted numbers to the “Blacklist” from the calls log, contacts list or input the number manually. Also, by using “Begins with” option, you can block a range of numbers with certain first digits.
I've had it for about 3 months and recently uninstalled it because if I were on the phone and had another call come in, it would hang up all calls. VERY frustrating and was causing me to lose business, as my personal number is the same as my business number. It was also getting in the way of my text messaging; I would send a text but the person I texted wouldn't receive the text. It stopped when I uninstalled it. Also you have to manually block spam calls, the app does NOT do it for you.
I downloaded the app this morning to a Samsung Note 8 phone. I take many conference calls for work via Skype and Webex, typically receiving an inbound call from each. I had no problem with Webex, but I am not able to connect (receive a call) with Skype. The Skype calls are not found on the Call log or Block List. So to err on the side of caution, I was going to add the Skype number to the "Whitelist" described in this app's feature list, BUT THERE ISN'T ONE. One of the reasons I chose this app over the others is the simplicity of the UI. Because of this, I don't believe I am carelessly overlooking the "Whitelist" feature. Basically, there is a CALL list, the BLOCK LIST, and a Settings menu with simple, one-level deep, "Block Type" options (aka: there are no popup/drilldown submenus under the headers). I have high hopes that the developer will respond and remediate my concerns quickly so that I can add a few more stars to this review. However, until I accurately know the full functionality of what I have "VIP" subscribed to, have a better experience, and/or build a higher level of confidence in the effectiveness and accuracy of this app, I can only rate it TWO STARS.
Samsung phone works better. It forced me to install another app so I don't know which is the problem. It blocks some calls but most go through. It takes forever to scan and decide if it is a threat or not. My phone without this told me by the 2nd ring if it was a scam/telemarketer. Numbers I want to see I can't identify because it is scanning them forever. I end up taking my chances by the 3rd ring or it will go to voice mail. Without this, I would already know who was calling.
Didn't actually block OR warn of all spam calls, the normal one's still came right through. Also, app would be better off not taking over the android phone app (AND giving the option not to do so anyway) when the interface is so unstable. Every call I accidentally muted people, turned on Bluetooth etc due to the screen not properly blacking during calls so it was just overall not useful for me.
I liked it at first. my phone wasn't blowing up like it was but then it started up again. it won't block private numbers or numbers that are unavailable even if you manually block them. that wasn't enough for me to delete the app. the reason I'm getting rid of it is because even though the calls get blocked they can still leave a voicemail! you don't get notified of them either! I missed a very important call and had to go through 42 messages to get to the only one that wasn't a robo call!
In a nutshell about this application is that it just doesn't block robocalls oh, it takes over the entire phone system was its own phone interface and messes everything up including speed dials, it does something strange where calls come in and don't ring, and I've noticed other apps on my phone affected since I installed this app! The instructions to uninstall it and unsubscribe don't work, and I can't wait to get this very poor app off my phone
Finished trial. It does block calls, which is nice. It does let some 1800 numbers through and in order to block those as well I chose the option to block all calls that are not in my contacts. That seemed to solve that issue. Paid my 5$ and going to see how It does for a month. So far it's a good investment to keep them damn telemarketers and robo calls away. So annoying!
Haven't had annoying calls come to my phone thank you for this service! This is an updated review: After having this app on my phone getting to my miss calls has been a haggle and for some reason do not disturb keeps turning on by it self so I'm missing calls as well. This app does a great job but the interface is not user friendly.
I used the free version of this app for appox 5 days. After a few days running in background, my phone really was slowing down. I checked settings, running applications, and saw call block was using 425MB of memory (not kb). I run older Samsung s4 and don't have that much memory to spare. Uninstalled, will just deal with the damn robocallers. The abundance of ads in this app is just about as bad as spam callers. I'll keep searching
There's no way to find out how it works. No explanation. At times u block people who are on your contacts. Can't say Im impressed. All I really wanted was for unknown numbers to go straight to voicemail I had that in another app that was accidentally removed. This app will always try to get u to upgrade at s price.
Positives: greatly reduced the number of unwanted calls, allows me to Google phone numbers I don't recognize after the fact. Negatives: could be a bug, but my ringtone continually goes of while talking to people over the phone forcing me to keep phone on vibrate. Also I feel like my battery dies faster now.
It blocks calls but I really don't need to be notified of every incoming call that you blocked. I want the calls blocked so that I'm not bothered by the constant incoming robocalls. This app is super annoying and honestly doesn't fix my real problem. Just block the calls in the background! Really unpleasant experience.
It's terrible, I think it messed up my phone to the point that I had to restart it. I dont understand why it has ads when it wants you to make it be the only way you can call or receive calls on your phone. Speaking on that, I thought it would only block calls from unknown numbers not saved in your phone. It needs help
Works as stated mostly, a few scam calls get through but compared to the deluge I had before its negligible. Only actual complaint about the app is that it can guzzle data instantly, I dont have unlimited and it used a quarter of my monthly allowance on day one, currently it's used 10x the next highest app and I'm still trying to find out why it started doing that this month. Also made me miss my meeting by not being able to temporally disable the app quickly, uninstalled...
After 3 months of using we have one disturbing issue. No matter who calls us the background ringing will not stop it keeps playing the ringing bell sound. Please fix this issue asap. Over all we like what it does on free features. It has stopped lot of scammers for sure. Thank You.
Constantly sends notifications that it has blocked a call. robo calls happened less often than before downloading the app if the "blocked call notifications" are real. Which seems dubious. this defeates the purpose of the app. it also doesn't always recognize contacts in your phonebook and will just show their number or block the call
Just bad! Before I installed it my phone worked. After I installed this app my phone would continue to ring after I answered the call. I would have to hang up and then call them back and then the system would not allow me to hang my phone back up after the call was ended, I would have to reboot the phone to cut the connection. I notice on the feedback that this company only answers positive feedback and then disregard any feedback about all the problems this app causes to your phone. Do Not Use
It works on Android 10 while most others don't, but it's too much. Most call apps, while it has to be the default to block calls, they usually pass you to the default Android phone app. This one makes you use their app for calls. The adds are too aggressive and the prices to remove them are just silly. I'd rather get spam calls than deal with this app.
