● When you receive a message, Call and SMS Car Listen Free will read out the message content and sender name.
● When you receive a call, Call and SMS Car Listen Free will also read out the caller name.
● The a2dp and non a2dp bluetooth headset is supported in this application but may not work with all Android versions and all phones. It can also happen that it works in "Test settings" but not when you get a real call. This indicates that phone provider blocked this feature.
This system is very convenient not only when driving, but also when you are walking or your hands are not free to take the message or call. This contributes to higher safety on the road when messages or calls are coming in.
When you hear the message or call, you can immediately stop it speaking loud by turning the phone around if you are for ex. in a meeting, do not want to be disturbed or you cannot listen to it.
Text before and text after Caller/Sender and/or message can be manually set.
Nine languages are supported by default: American English, British English, Canadian English, Canadian French, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Spanish (Latin America). If you use Samsung phone, Chinese and Korean are supported by default as well.
The system also supports the following functions:
● Turn phone around to stop (stop speaking loud by turning the phone around) ● Launch at boot (turns on, when phone is restarted) ● Enable/Disable notifications in status bar ● Audio reading delay (starts reading out with 2
- 20 seconds' delay) ● Speech rate (reading rate: slower, slow, normal speed, fast, faster) ● Ignore Silent/Vibrate (message/call can be read although the phone is set to Silent/Vibrate). ● Repetitions (number of repetitions when the phone is ringing) ● a2dp and non a2dp bluetooth headset support (may not work with some Android versions and some phones)

SETUP INFO FOR GOSMS, HANDCENT, VLINGO USERS:
● GO SMS >> Settings >> Advanced Tab >> Other Settings >> uncheck "Disable other message notification"
● HANDCENT >> Settings >> Application Settings >> Default Messaging Application >> choose "Disable" and then turn on "Lower priority"
● VLINGO, Within phone settings, change voice recognizer from Vlingo to Google Voice.

I have both Caller ID and SMS on. I want all sound through the BT headset when connected. SMS is fine but Caller ID is through the phone's speaker. I don't see any configuration settings.
Good app but can't setup for Bluetooth headset so can't use in public or quiet environments.
The sms works great but the caller id doesn't announce until the caller has already hung up. Needs to be fixed. Pointless to have if it is not going to work. Would be 5 stars if that were fixed.
this app. it reads the first SMS and that's it. never reads again.

Hi perfect app for driving ... after trying many app for call/sms announce i'm satisfied with this app....
Keeps vibrating and showing up in tray even though there is no current incoming call or sms.... Please fix this issue - then you'll get a 5-star rating!

Itz a cool app cux u don't need much settings
Mutes ringtone long before and long after announcement. No bluetooth support. Announcement continues even after answering call.
This app works as advertised. You will need to go into settings and turn off the announce sender only otherwise it will only read the senders name and not the message.
Hey the app is really very nice.....but please add the setting such that only the sender's name is announced when the msg is recieved.....hope to see the setting in next update..

This application is excellent. You can change languages and all other voice and text features. Works smoothly and very fast. Default voices are very good.

I know I dont get many calls or text messages, but when I do I would like to know about it without having to pick up my phone sometimes. This thing worked on 1 ( i mean a single text & maybe a call i dont know) It never alerted me to a thing it read a caller name once and the next the phone just rand I think one time it didnt even vibrate.
