At this point this particular service does not work at all The volume is too low and cannot define what the speakers attempting to say very displeased t Wallace awaiting an update to fix this problem I understand all these phones have the same issue this is the third phone that I've tried and it still can't get the bloody thing to work very very very dissatisfied

It was working again 1/10/22 but now it isn't. I'm taking off stars again 1/10 note: Suddenly working again. I don't know how, but I am glad, because I really love this app when it works. Previous note: I've had this for years, with a mostly no problems, but suddenly it stopped working completely. I tried everything in the permissions and controls, and it is not reading my texts or even giving a sound to announce them. My phone recently upgraded to Android 12. It's a Pixel 5a.

I'm not happy with the app anymore. It used to be the best caller name announcer and merits 5 stars, but I bought a new phone, an android 11 infinix and it stopped announcing! What when wrong? I like the app. Fix it for me and I will give the deserved 5 stars

absolutely 💯 % love, works asome, I have absolutely no problem, well maybe just 1,it doesn't block the unknown calls or private calls I have to do it manually, & it doesn't say unknown or private calls just the #s,,so I don't know what to block, could you or if someone knows please let me know 😀 😉 😜 😄 😊 😁. thank you very much kim.

All of a sudden it stopped announcing who is calling. It does still announce who is texting, I don't understand? . Of course, I have check settings..nothing wrong there!???

I'm deleting this app from my phone. It doesn't work. New claim of being modify should be "muddy-fy", because it's a mess. Cannot rate something that doesn't work. So it's a "0" zero but it wouldn't even give me that option.

Settings/Audio/Set Speech Rate solved my problem, yay! My caller ID announcement was running at around triple speed. FIXED. Plus other helps.

Installed set preferences and tested it. Seems just what I want, the addition of WhatsApp announcement is welcome. I dould like to see announcement for Facebook messenger too.

So far so good , am using this on a blind persons mobile who uses vol up to answer and power switch to end call , question? How do I disable splash screen after call ends as the blind person may accidentally touch other items on touch screen if she has to use screen to turn off splash screen.thank you.

Don't use this app. I get 100+ scam and scammers with this app. It's messing up my phone keeping on demanding that I answer or recall all these jokers who only insisted on getting personal info or have further problems with my phone. I give this app a TOTAL -0 in.stars & etc. This app won't even let me post my review about it at all.

It works first time once I followed the simple walk through which was nice but an ad after each call was very annoying I wish I could buy it when do away with the adds

This is a super app I love it know who's calling before you run to the phone and if it's somebody you don't want to talk to because you hear the name and you just don't run to your phone just leave it and let your voicemail do the work

I always liked this application when it worked; However, as of the last update it didn't... It turned out that the big problem, on an Android 8 Motorola E5 Play, was that neither the update NOR a fresh installation recommended by the authors, asked for the permission that I had to dig down & find: - Settings - Apps & Notifications - Advanced - Special App Access - Notification Access - and finally check Caller Name Announcer...

It does what it says it does & without annoying ads. The only problem I have with it is that annoying robot voice.

Announcer caller app is great, gives me a heads up, who is calling, and I don't have pick up my phone.

Weird screen comes up after i get off calls that is really annoying that has ads.

It used to work fine but doesn't any more. Too many ads and doesn't give caller name.

it does the job but just make sure you said it correctly read through it really well otherwise it could be quite embarrassing LOL

I like the announcements for calls. Quite like the fact that it looks up numbers that aren't in my phone book. Not sure if like the floating window that allows you to end the call. I've got used to using the power button to end calls. However before I used the power button it was difficult to end a call in another app, so this window will be useful to some. Reading out texts is great when I'm driving, but could be embarrassing in a meeting! Thankfully it can be turned off for meeting audio profiles, Muting when the volume - button is pressed would be a nice feature. Since I updated to Android 7 I no longer have audio profiles but Do not disturb does work. One thing that has started to annoy me is that it adjusts the volume for the announcement but doesn't set it back to where it was. If this is impossible to do I would rather it didn't adjust it at all

I hate to get rid of it - but I can't answer my phone. It announces, that is good. It does some lookup for names. It does not keep the results. It interferes with call screening, and with answering calls. Can't deal with that one. - - - UI could be much better. It's ad supported, so of course there are ads, but when it launches on receiving a call, it takes multiple steps to dismiss/ get out of it. Plus, "Are you SURE you want to exit?".

This is the only one I can get to work properly on my Samsung S20 FE! It works perfectly. The users complaining about ads and filling up their screens need to carefully look at all settings and option. Go to the 'Calls' Screen and at the bottom find, 'Visual Caller ID settings'. You should be able to clean up what ever you want! There's a lot of options there, scroll down!

So far, this app is the ONLY one that has worked for me, and I've tried at least 10. The ads don't bother me - they dont interfere with announcing the callers, which is all I care about. Also, you can adjust settings, I suggest setting announcing 3 seconds , although 2 is decent too. And based on another review I read, I adjusted the pitch lower to make it a little louder. Hopefully this will continue to work as it is, I will adjust my review accordingly if there are any problems.

Edit: Okay so now I'm having another problem with this app. Every time someone calls me it does what it's suppose to, but my settings automatically opens up to apps that appear on top and I can't answer the call right away until I close that appear on top setting. I spoke with my cell phone provider, and with a tech from Samsung. I have a Samsung Galaxy 8 plus and have the latest updates. Update: I did contact you, and you guide me through some steps and I'm still getting my settings opening up.

This is a great app for voice caller ID services. I have Android 10. Tried five other apps that did not work very well. It is free. Has ads. Very easy to set up and use. If you have low vision, or simply want a voice caller ID. It is the best. Best app for announcing incoming calls or sms.

I think the announcer pro is a great invention it announces your caller which is a plus it's really unique and I like it

3-19-19: Installed previous version, app works as it should now! Thanks! 3-9-19...Not sure what happened, but suddenly the app is calling out when I send a message from my messaging app! Meaning, when I send a text, the app calls out, "New message from Mood!" Mood confirms the message was sent, and announcer says it again! Like I said, it just suddenly started doing this. Also, I had to 'block' notifications from announcer, because it also just started a constant notification that it's running.
