Calls Blacklist PRO

I've been using this app for more than the last year and it has been phenomenal! All calls not in my contacts go straight to voicemail, my life has been so peaceful. However, and just the past few weeks the app just plain does not work. I turn it on, it crashes. I've emailed the developer and no response. Unfortunately after uninstall this app and search for another solution, very disappointed because up until now this app was the best! :(

Love the one-time fee option for the Pro version. Really like that you can directly screen out calls from numbers not in your phone's directory without referring to an external database. For me, if the call comes from an unknown number, it is almost certainly a spam call. I don't need the phone number compared to a community-based database because I don't care about the identity or intentions of the caller.

Works so well I purchased the pro version within the first month of downloading the free version. I've been using the app since.... wow, since before the pandemic and have recommended it to dozens of people having problems with unsolicited calls. For a long time I was hating my phone, this app changed that for me.

the call blocking is exceptional but the SMS is lacking seriously. I cannot even get pictures to attach to it and have emailed customer service with no response. If you're looking for for a straight-up call blocking app that you can select to decline all calls outside of your contacts list this is very good. I would just like some help with the SMS or they need to upgrade it to where I can at least attach a photo or two. Maybe it's possible but no customer support so far.

This app used to be flawless! I recommended the paid version to everyone as the perfect way to get our lives back from constant unsolicited calls but still take calls from loved ones. For some reason, about a week ago, it has stopped it's entire ability to work. Calls come in constantly even though the spam filter and blacklist are specific. The app has become useless overnight. I even uninstalled it and tried again. Nothing. The app is now garbage. I guess maybe they sold to a third party. Sad.

Works ok, not the easiest to operate but it works. To add numbers you want to block, you have to go to the phone's recent calls and copy then paste, not the app because the app doesn't save your recent calls. When you need to add numbers beginning with or whatever numbers you need to block. The directions are hard to understand to do so. So once you figure out how to do work it, you will be fine. Blocks well.

App works great for blocking all calls and it has really helped cut down on the number of spam calls I've gotten. I have two suggestions for the developer. The first one is to add a toggle to the persistent notification that allows you to turn on/off call blocking as it would be useful when I am expecting a call from a new number. Second one would be the creation of a widget that allows you to turn call blocking on/off as well.

This product has quit working on Essential PH-1. April 16th, 2019, it's been several weeks now. Essential updates to the latest Android available, and two updates ago, it quit blocking calls on my blacklist. I've sent to emails to the developer, and have not received any response. I'm not sure if this will work on any other phone, I'm disappointed it no longer works on my phone. Try the free version before you purchase the pro version. No response after 3 emails.

Great ... Until an update? This app was working beautifully, and then it stopped blocking calls. Settings weren't changed. Tried buying the pro version to see if that made a difference, unfortunately it didn't. I feel like the only way to get it to work is to block all calls, which I obviously don't want to do since I want to receive calls from people in my contacts.

It does great with blocking out #'s. The only issue is that while it doesn't ring and doesn't notify me, both of which I enjoy, they resort to automated voice messages. My voicemail box notifies me and there's nothing I can do to stop those and I get so many scam and bot calls that it's hell for anyone outside of my contacts to reach me since I've had to set it where only contacts can get through. The app doesn't have enough protection against the annoying scam and bot #'s. 3 stars.

Original review Feb 11, 2019 - I upgraded to this version from the free app and have seen 100% blocked unwanted calls so far. I have it set to block ALL numbers that are NOT in my Contacts list. This is working great. Thank You. Update - Sept. 11, 2019 This app is still working as expected and I am still getting 100% blocked calls that are not on my contact list. Update 2/27/2022 - over the past several months this app has been failing to block calls and now does not seem to work at all?

Update - it started great when I first downloaded it. Calls even almost stopped. one here and there compared to 4 or 5 everyday. The calls are coming through just as much now. And when I try to add a number to the blacklist, the app just closes. And the schedule doesn't turn on like it should, I have to do it manually.

For a while, I have been looking for an app that will send any call that is not on my contact list directly to my voicemail. This will let you contact the caller when you have the time. The only negative item that I can think of is the fact that, I believe, you cannot put restricted calls on the white list. Spammers do not use calls without an ID any more. As for text messages, I think I turned the blocking off when I set up the app.

This doesn't stop the calls at all. They are still getting through by the dozen every other day. I'd like to use it as a messaging app but it doesn't really help the calls at all, how will it help the text messages too?? Apart from not noticing much of a difference, the app is fairly user friendly and easy to use. Wish it worked. Since I paid for it, I'll keep it and keep hoping for the best as my "black list" continues to lengthen, (and all my contacts have been put on the "white list").

Yes, it blocks calls. However, it blocks calls by sending them to voice mail. In the world of IT, when you block something, it goes into a black hole. EDIT (2020/01/31): the phone scammers are getting better. They call 3-5 times in a row, while VM can only accommodate 2 callers at a time, on the third call they are getting past this app.

Has a bug and they don't want to fix. Lately (early 2022) it is crashing. On now on my S22U, I get a warning saying the app is draining battery more than is should meanwhile crashing and restarting. NO longer able to recommend and dropping star to ONE. And yes, this is a paid app.... Still crashing guess the don't care about paid customers.

It was fine and I would have given it 5 stars but it stopped working. It now sends everything to voicemail even thou I have only calls from my whitelist are to come through. It does not ring but I now get msg from every call and they show up as missed calls. White list calls ring. Also I sent an email a few days ago with the problem to the company and I have not heard anything. When I started having issues I thought since I was working on the free app it just wIs not working any longer. I purchased the pro and nothing still works. Looking for a new app that will work

Very poor. Exceptionally poor customer service. I emailed support for assistance shortly after installing this app and I have NOT heard a word back from them which is highly unacceptable on my end. Calls I have as blocked are still getting through, it's annoying especially when the call is for someone else. This is a paid app, so I expect a response. I have had better support from free apps. WHY STILL NO RESPONSE OR FEEDBACK?!

I like that blacklisted and unwanted doesn't go through but I'm unable to access any contacts via this app. If I want to call a # that hasn't contacted me first, I have to go to my contacts or switch apps, which is less convenient. It does do a great job at blocking. I combine it w/ another app and NO unwanted calls or texts have gotten through...well worth it.

It looks like the developer has abandoned this project. I'm seeing a few others reporting the same (or similar) issue I'm experiencing. App used to work just fine but it now crashes every time I try to make an outgoing call, which is strange. Paid for the Pro version like many others, so I'm hoping we get some kind of patch to fix this issue soon.

BUYER BEWARE! Easily the most useless app I have ever purchased. Pointless to try a refund, but ALL calls and ALL text messages pass right through. Triple checked all my settings, and it is set for "no calls or SMS messages that are not in contacts". In the week I have had it, about 60 calls, about 20 texts have made it through and when checking the log only ONE call was blocked, and IT IS IN MY CONTACT LIST!

Seems to block very well but can't send/receive pictures. I've only had it 5 days. I emailed the help line to see if there is a setting I can't see to fix that as pictures are important to me and most people in this day an age. Day 6 since emailed re:above. Still no answer. Customer support seems lacking. Uninstalling. Sad ... otherwise would have liked this. What a waste.

App works EXTREMELY WELL, the best I've used, in fact, for blocking unwanted calls and texts. A huuuge grip for me is that you can't send any attachments when texting, requiring me to switch to another texting app, which makes me agree to use it as my default, in order to send said attachment with my text. Then I have to switch BACK to Calls Blacklist PRO, go through the same thing again (accepting it as my default app), in order to enjoy it's superb blocking capabilities. Annoying as hell...

This app is excellent. It does what it says it does and works as expected. I upgraded from the free version after using it for over a year as it continues to provide exceptional performance. The interface is easy to use and intuitive and enhances personal security by effectively blocking unwanted numbers, spam and fraudulent calls. Thankyou for an app like this. It is one of my top 10 security apps on my Galaxy S9. Thanks again. :D

This app allows setting the perfect options for the way I want unknown callers to be handled: don't ring, don't flash, don't vibrate, don't bother me, send him/her/it to voice mail, give me a notification that a call came in and every once in a while when it's convenient I'll check voice mail -- and find that most spammers just hang up. Perfect for me! Maybe you too?

16/3/2020 - LG Q60 with Android 9, broken. Same problem as others, says it has blocked a call, logs it, but reality is that it did nothing. Developer seems unresponsive, which is annoying, was great, now useless. (2018) Upgraded to pro from the free version. Works well, easily blocks persistent scammers using varying numbers with the wildcard feature. Galaxy S7.

This used to be one of the best call blacklist app on the market, I even recommended it to several friends. However, after the Android update the program no longer functions and allows calls through. I, like many, have emailed the developer with no response. I assume this is an abandoned product and urge others to look elsewhere.

I used to LOVE this app. I was quite happy with the free version, but bought the pro version because I felt the developer deserved the money. However, in the past few months the app is only blocking about 70% of unwanted calls, and those don't even show in the call log. Same problem on multiple phones- a Note 4, Galaxy 9, and Stylo 4. It's as though the developer has stopped supporting this app. I've contacted tech support but the issue continues.
