This app is definitely worth the money. It's very thoughtfully built and works without a snag. I've lost weight using it although at my age it's very hard to do. One drawback is that the app doesn't show the difference between consumption of bad and good carbs as well as fats. For example, carbs in orange are very different from carbs in candy and fats in pistachio are different from bacon. It would help greatly to see how much bad carbs I consume, so I can adjust my diet. Thank you!
Finally! An app that does everything. Nearly perfect. I have tried many. 46 lbs so far. If I had to adjust 1 feature, it would be the to the inclusion of exercise calories feature. I would prefer to be able to choose a percentage of those calories rather than fitbit's entire estimation of how many calories I should be able to eat. When I follow fitbit's budget, I stop losing. But it is nice to have some added incentive for exercise. Maybe offer a percentage field.
MyFitnessPal is having issues so I decided to try something new; currently running both apps side by side. After using MyNetDiary for a day, the biggest drawback is the lack of meal slots; premium is required to split snacks by time of day. The biggest plus is not having to sift through duplicate foods for the most accurate. I submitted 3 corrections in the first day. The first one just came back as something completely different, when all I wanted was a serving size correction.
Best macro-nutrient app for weight loss, training, or general healthier lifestyle. Polished and intuitive interface. I prefer this over my fitness pal as I felt the latter was very clunky with far too many food input options. But just my opinion. I bought the premium version and it was well worth it. It has really helped me reach my health goals and foster a more mindful and sustainable lifestyle balance.
I've achieved great success in my overall health journey by adding MyNetDiary to my toolkit. Also, investing in the subscription was worth every penny. I aligned my goal and value of self-development to justify the cost. Now with the full feature set available to me in the app I've been able to seamlessly do the things I would have failed at before. Such as calorie and macro counting. Be kind to yourself and get the right tool for the job ahead.
Okay for counting nutrients and calories but most of the foods in the database do not match the food labels and when I try to enter a custom food it changes the calores and nutrients randomly even though I put in exactly as the food label shows. This app needs a lot of improvement.
This is so convenient. I love being able to enter my weight and height and what I want to weigh when and it'll tell me how many calories I get per day and I don't have to do the math. being able to scan in items and having food I can look up for the calories to enter is so easy as well. Great app!!!
Ease of use is the most important factor in choosing a food log app; MyNetDiary is definitely the easiest. I appreciate the developers and the interface they've built. Highly recommend!
This is a really great app for counting calories. I use the free version, lots of options and easy to use. My favorite part is you can put your own recipes in and it calculates the calories. This is definitely helpful for meal planning. A+ app!!!
I've tried many calorie count apps, this one is the best. Easy to plan and quick customization of meals ahead of time, love the barcode scanner, the dashboard is intuitive and easy to read, and when you log exercise, it gives you the option to not subtract the calories burned from your daily allowance - love this feature. Plus there are diet/meal plans and recipes that you can choose from.
OK but let down by data The app itself is good with basic needs met and the option to upgrade. The app makes a point if having the largest database of foods, however it seems almost every entry needs to be checked before use as the database differs to the real data, update process is amending data for a given food when in fact the item code isn't even for the right item. Protein /fat/ carbs intake is based on proportion of calories yet medical experts advice is to base protein intake on weight
Easy to use you can find every food you need to log with a quick search or scan of a barcode, it's so easy to see what you have too much of or too little of in your diet. It's been very motivating to help with my journey to being a healthier person
The best one to use! It's been around 15 plus years, and I always go back to it after checking others out. The free app. alone gives more data compared to the other apps. it has far more foods readily for you to record, and multiple options on weighing your food. Big bonus! Simple : easier to record your entire body intake, exercise, break down of fat, carbs, proteins all recorded easily to follow, and nutrients. I can't say it all, but I used this to show my doctors in my issues.
Great app! I have used the free version from time to time over the last few years . The premium version of MyNetDiary has some fantastic features, especially the Fitbit compatibility. Unfortunately at almost £ 60 per year, I find it overpriced. I would sign up for a little bit less though. Thumbs up.
