Calories in food

Using the calories table you can define the energy value of the most popular food items and cooked foods. As well, you can learn and correct your daily eating. General list includes the information on energy, carbohydrates, proteins and fats content in 100 grams of food. Energy value is expressed in kilocalories (kcal). The app contains more than 8700 items, and for your convenience it is separated into sections, and food items are listed in alphabetic order. Data in table are maximally exact, but you shall remeber that cooking peculiarities of some food influence the energy value and content of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

Finally, I have found a simple, easy to use app to lookup nutrition counts. I did not want to set up a meal plan, reminders, and a constant barrage of emails. I just want to look up calorie counts in what I'm planning to eat in order to make choices. This app is well-organized, very user-friendly and has delightful graphics that actually HELP your navigating to be easier. Don't change a thing!!

This is the best calorie counter app ever....my fitnesspal is definately not for me far too complicated and very time consuming also if you go out to dinner and your battery dies??? Or there's a power failure... Then what....you can't calculate your calorie intake. Also the majority of calorie counting apps you need to either sign in with your email address or Facebook that's really dumb. ....I'm old school it's far easier to keep a food journal...thank you for keeping it simple

I have found the this app very helpful, easy to use and very thorough in selection, choice and food variables. The creators selection of 100g as a quantity on everything has its goods and bads. I quickly learned that 100g translates to approximately 3.5 ounces for most things whereas an ounce, half cup, cup, tablespoon or teaspoon would have been more in keeping with the minds and habits of the average American public. Overall a very good program.

I just wanted to check on my scrambled eggs on toast. No return from search for eggs, nor toast. I tried a little harder and found eggs in list of dairy products. I've never come across a 100g egg, nor a meter square loaf. Totally useless for me giving everything in 100g measurements. Sorry, I just haven't the patience to delve further into an app that can't find basic for stuff from the search bar and give results in identifiable amounts. 6 slices of bread, 3 med. eggs with 1/4 pack of butter.

It's great to have a comprehensive easy to read listing of foods. It gives not only calories but also protein fat content and more. I would like to see an extra tab that gives extra information such as recommended calories intake and warnings about excessive or insufficient amounts.

It's an ap that skips all the counting bullish. I like that. It's a huge list of most food items. Problem is it gives calories based on 100 gram servings for everything. More relatable quantities would be nice. Im tired of weighing my hard boiled eggs.

irritating listing that's not quite alphabetical. spent more time trawling the list than it took to cook the stuff. if you want a comprehensive detailed list, this apps for you. if you prefer to live your life, avoid and get a simpler version.

This is exactly what I was looking for after trying different apps, answering different surveys and wasting time on other "weight loss/calorie tracker/fitness" apps. All I needed was a food calorie library and this is exactly that. 10/10!! Edit for users who worry about negative reviews: kcal = cal and 100g is the amount most international food labels use to calculate nutritional value. -_-"

I think this is what I'm looking for. I hope there's a marker(e.g., star, favorite, highlights) and note below the category like for example, '2 from this category' in green color to make my choices more easily to navigate. Thank you.

Metric System Only. Amounts are listed in grams instead of ounces/lbs, so if you're in the USA this app is not very useful as we don't measure things in grams. The user interface is nice though. Would definitely use this if the settings allowed non-metric measurements.

So far so good. This is in grams so not American friendly. We're the last country on earth still using ounces, pounds, miles, inches, for measurements. 100g is the equivalent of 1/2 a cup folks. Otherwise, it's a basic app of food calories. Just what i wanted.

Needs to do a better job at specific calorie counting. And better at breaking each fruit or vegetable down, beans ect instead of putting them all in one catagory, need to know about the starches in all the foods as well. And the calories don't tell you per serving. The whole thing is confusing.🤭🤔😟😱🤯

Gr8 app this. Even if it says per 100g I can still take out my calculator and count how may grams is one of that item. Then I can divide 100 by the amount of items is in the packet. Then I can record the divided product on a piece of paper, or in my tablet or something. It has lots of items we wanna know how many calories they are. Then a person can still work out if you're overeating or undereating. Tnx for this app that helps me with the amount I should eat not to gain weight or lose weight.

It's hard not to love this app. They don't ask for too many permissions. You can sort the apps according to the amount of calories high or low in each category like Dairy. My only disappointment is that there's no kind of log on what date and what you ate. But it is still worthfive stars. I will not trash a developer just because he doesn't give me what I Need.

Provided you can do math this is an excellent app. It gives a ton of food groups which cover just about everything I need. It's perfect for weight control and for healthy eating.

I had a look. I think if you could adjust the amount.. grams from 100 to ?? And then the calories automatically adjusted. Would be a good app.. Anyways... l'll keep searching. (Uninstalled)

Nice app with a lot of foods in the database. The one thing that would be nice is to restrict the search to the sub-list selected. Example, in fruits, when I search for mango, I don't want every food with mango in the name, just the fruits.

Way to tough to use for a quick lookup of calories or carbs. Measurements in grams is inconvenient. No quick search function, so I'll keep searching for something quicker & easier to use

The foods are only measured in 100 gram weight. There is no setting to change the measurements to cup and tablespoon volume. This single type of measurement is inconvienient and absurd in most cases, as most people, such as myself, do not measure their foods on a scale... but instead pour a cup of juice or a tablespoon of honey. Therefore I find this app useless in general.

Food choices are strictly limited. I asked for hotcake. I got a choice of 3 mcdonalds hotcake meals. I asked for homemade hotcakes from a mix. I got calorie counts for homemade COTTAGE CHEESE! I uninstalled the app.
