Caltex NZ

I'm new to this app but have used others in the past and I find this one to be the best of all. You don't need to scan your discount cards(Airpoints) like the others. The app takes care of it all in the one transaction. You just got to love the convenience. Quick, easy and no bloody hassles. Thankyou Caltex.

Quick to set up and never having to stand in line waiting to pay when you don't have time is brilliant. As is being able to easily see what your cents off per litre is at and if anything is due to expire. I'll still mix it up with going in to pay because real person interaction is lovely, but having the option is great!

Extremely frustrating that the latest version of the app no longer shows when discounts expire, so you could face losing hundreds of dollars per year. Essentially has broken functionality of the app so it is no better than a plastic loyalty card. A very calculated change on their part that is immoral and possibly illegal.

The experience has been better lately. Now, you need to load on the extra 2 cents per litre for Supergold cards, so we can still use the app, without needing to to go in-store.

Good app and nice and simple to use. First time it worked well. But the second time it wouldn't unlock the pump. So I filled up and checked my bank account before going inside to pay and found the money had been deducted. So not very reliable. Also, can only pay up to $150 which is not a full tank. Why can't the maximum be changed to $300 like the Z app?

Easy to sign up via Google. Easy to add a payment method. Plus the discount ards you can add is a bonus. Good experience all around.

After updated, app now works. Though, you still cannot use the barcode scanner to scan your card in, you still have to input your card number manually. It tells you how much saving you have saved until now, today's saving, and a map of your nearest Caltex. You are only able to login to one card at a time; for example, if you and your partner have two seperate cards and would like to see both card's savings, it is not possible.

Terrible UX. I linked my card to the app and get a screen with a barcode, which presumably means it's good to go. Filled up but was told my card isnt set up properly. Sigh.. Paid full price. Went online to see if it needs to be registered that way but after filling in a long form I got multiple errors. Gave it another go in store but didnt work and was told its a common issue. Such poor execution for edge cases and horrible experience for first time celtex customers.

Downloaded the app and set it up on the way to the gas station. I was up and running before I got there and I saved $2 on gas as well

Stopped working - valid card, correct details, everything. Now have 2 $30 holds on my account, and nobody wanting to take responsibility. Can't buy the fuel I came here too because of the app not working.

Absolute rip off get you to pay with the app and don't give the advertised discount at all shocking

Super easy to set up and use, love the fact it applies discounts automatically as well. Will definitely be back

Really enjoy using this app! Makes things so quick and easy when fueling up and love that you can add a flybuys card and other discount cards too!

I just wasted 150c/litre discount because the app defaulted to use my discount on a $40 transaction the slider system is not a user friendly experience. Instead present two buttons for 'stack' and 'use' that progresses the transaction

First time using it and setup was quite easy and really convenient since this gas station was closed app came in clutch. Everything did what it was supposed too

Easy set up. Easy to use. Love it.

I hadn't registered or used this system before. All done in 10 minutes and will be much quicker next time. Easy as. 😊👍😊

Super easy to use especially when you dont want to go inside and the pumps dont have a card payment option.

Hi has been a great app for receiving discount fuel. Unfortunately now you cant see when your pumped discount or part there of expires.

Great app. So easy to use. Even knew which petrol station I was at.

Pity, was unusable I could not get past the "pay in app" page as it keeps telling me to turn on Location services, mine is always on but I checked 5 times anyway, and it was on, and said the caltex app was last to use it. I may re download and try again if the app gets fixed later.

I downloaded the app to get the 15c discount offer. Upon opening the app the discount isn't anywhere to be found. Typical Caltex false advertising! UPDATE- July 15/2019. Upon recieving an email from Caltex due to them responding (below)..I was asked for more info which I emailed them. That was a week ago and I haven't heard back. They have gone from useless to even more useless. They come on here responding to complaints to make it look like they want to help us but it's just hyperbole people.

Not sure why that have made getting you flybys or airpoints card so stupidly hard to load up now, use to be on the first screen, one click, now you have to go to user --> cards -> pick card, then you can see you balance and load savings, app looks nice, but not as user friendly as the old one.

I like this app but would like to ask about a couple of changes. Comparing prices is no good if you don't give options for premium or standard grades. Also pay in app doesn't allow for discount for super gold card which means I can only pay in store

Poor registration policy - have to open the email verification link on the phone the app is installed on. I purposefully do not have email on my phone and not setting all that up just to register for this app. Ridiculous requirement, email verification should be able to be done using my regular computer.

I only want to open app with my email but this does not happen. "Sweeeet you will will get an email soon" (or along those lines), when I click on link in email....it doesn't open and I have had no notification to say I am in the draw to win a Samsung Galaxy even though I've created account before 30/11/18. I deserve to win one😠 don't you think!...& Z Energy app? Did not know Caltex was connected with Z! Very dissapointed.

It was working fine till lock down it continues to buffer without opening the actual app, and can't see my fuel points. I've deleted the app to reinstall and see if that will fix problem. Good news app back to normal after reinstalling it 😊😊😊😊😊😊

It wont scan my barcode or accept manual entry. Keeps saying i have no internet connection. Uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times and its exactly the same result each time. Waste of time... maybe verging on false advertising with discount. Sick of it now!

Thanks for the discount! Something that would make this even more amazing would be if your Caltex finder showed the fuel prices of each station. For those feeling the pinch, knowing that a 3km diversion will save money is really valuable.
