Cambridge Dictionary Fast

Like how it features other dictionary apps and let's you listen to pronunciations.. You can also click a word and get a definition which is a cool feature. I don't like when for example, you have look up two words, try and go back to the previous one and it gives you the option to either exit or rate the app which means the only way to look at the previous word is to go to the history section. If it wasn't for that, would have given it 5 stars.

Really good app for learners, but some technical improvements are needed. For example I have a few lists of words, but when I try to add a new word to a list I can see only some of them and rest of them are inivisible. Pease, fix this. And will be very useful to see pictures and hear pronunsiation in 'Test yourself' section, because sometimes explanation can be similar for different words.

I love this app because of the many advantages it offers to those who are learning English as a second language, for instance: -The possibility of listening to the word in both American and British English. -The advantages of showing some synonyms of the word searched. -The multiple examples the app gives so that we can understand the meaning clearly. -How accurate the definition is. I find this app completely useful and interesting. I simply love it.

The app is poorly designed as compared to the web-based dictionary. The return button does not work in this app as it will lead straight to exiting it instead of returning to the previous page, which has been especially inconvenient when tapping on a word for the full explanation in the word list interface. The loading time is almost unbearable. The search bar below that occupied around 1/6 of the interface is of not much use, fairly distracting and particularly unaesthetic altogether.

I like the content, but too much ads. The whole page is full of ads, and I can only see 1-2 lines of the content until I manually close all the ads. And I can't seem to be able to go back to the word I just checked, which is frustrating (unless you open the History but it's too troublesome).

I've been using it for more than one year and taught all of my students to use it. Dear developer thanks a lot. I am so grateful that I'm going to buy a Pro version in the next two weeks: 1. Thank the developer. 2. No ads. Only, if it's possible that would be back to go to previous requests by hitting back arrow. P.S. If you implement dark theme, I will be just happy!

The app gives me whole new and exciting experience. Being able to switch versions gives one alternatives to choose from and compare. The audio makes learning pronunciation easy. I however prefer the Oxford audio to Cambridge in this app. The Cambridge audio feels a bit different and difficult to follow

* Since 2nd Nov 2020, this App has been problematic, it's simply can't be used, eg. It says 'your brower doesn't support HTML 5 audio.....what happened? Everything wss fine and working well before. * The ad of IKEA is extremely irritating, it continues to block the screen even after I've clicked on the 'cross'! It's definitely no need to be so aggressive, and it just makes me hate the ad or even IKEA.

Very helpful. Never gets stuck. Provides excellent examples, synonyms and definitions. Not to mention extra background information. Great app!

To start, my only purpose when I chose to try this app is to have the clearest definitions of words that I am not clear about. And it was really over my expectation that "Cambridge dic" gave me not the best definition, but also the examples that I believe can't be clearer. Really impressive! P/s: Rated 4 stars while it should be 5, because I want it to be better to bring the app users best experience ever. Thanks!!

Dear programmer, The App. has been enhanced / developed so much thank you. But there is just one issue perturb me so much, previously when we click on the word into saved list, it goes directly to the meaning in the dictionary, but now unfortunately nothing happens when we click on the word, for that please fix this issue as soon as possible to let me be back happy. 🌹♥️ Thanks, Abdulrhman

Explicitly about the App not the content. It automatic logs me out.. I have to sign in every time I open the app to add a word in my word list. Also, there's no system to go back to previous page; it simply asks to exit or rate. 🤷‍♀️ The new version hinders me to save any word..

This is one of the best dictionary for me. But there is a problem I always fetch that I search any word & during reading if I click any other word in that page then I go to that word but there is no any option to reverse. It means if I click back button to go to the previous word then I got the message to close the app. And I think this is the drawback of this app.

I really love using this app, it really helps me to figure out more new words when i read the explanations and the examples given :)) The optional of languanges also widen the meaning of words and help me better to grasp the meaning. I really recommended this app especially for beginners who want to learn English deeper. Don't miss a chance !

I like this app ,But nothing is perfect as a result , I want you to add more descriptions and examples in order to be understood by non-native speaker.For example , A word Vacation doesn't have an example of "ON VACATION " WITH "TO BE". Thanks.

1. Too any adds 2. Lag in user interface. It can be smooth. 3. The app design and orientation is unusual and uncomfortable. Especially no need of search bar in bottom when a search option is available at the top. It cover unnecessary screen space.

I liked that I can choose other sources quickly, however the ads are annoying considering the small screen area left for the definitions. I would like some other basic functionalities related to inputting the word and adding lists of words.

Well, use it for more than a year and truly enjoyed it for a long time, but then there was this update which included add every time u close the app. The adds are truly frustrating, but the usefulness of the app is immeasurable

I cannot back to previous page. When I push back button, I can't choose exept for "EXIT" or "LATE". Is this bug? It's very inconvenient when I want to research the other words in the page. Could you fix it? (Android/Pixel3)

Astonishing, a few days ago I started reading The Origin of Species by C. Darwin for the fourth time. I can confidently state that I do understand it, finally, and it is thanks to this handy app. Finding definitions isn't only really handy but having a word history and being presented with the usage of the word is as equally great.

It offers various use of a word..definition are precise and concise. Also offers all the phrasal. It's awesome, I prefer to use this dictionary. Grateful to the developers, hope this dictionary will not turn into like others whose changes are extremely bad due to upgrading new the version.

Looking from an English dictionary is the best way to learn a word. But as you know, while you are trying to find a word from paper dictionary, it takes a lot of time. Because of this, using online dictionary(like Cambridge dictionary) is better. I liked this app because it shows a lot of ex. Sentences for one word. I suggest everyone

The meanings for the words are quite useful and the pronunciations along with the accents are great... It could be nice if it had some offline features and 'just a copy to check the meanings' mechanism

I wanted to sign in with Google but they told me that there was an authorization error and that I could not sign in to this app with Google they advised me to do it either on your website through Chrome. I was going to do that originally but I thought an app would be better but didn't work out.

Must say that its surprising to have a dictionary aggregator better than the dictionary apps it is hosting. Just that I am desirous of word history feature as well favouriting words option. Otherwise it's a very useful app. Highly recommended.

The tool it is very useful, but there are large adds and this are a little annoying, when you uses on cellphone. Because of that it is not five starts. There could reduce the size of adds.

Seems to be a good app with flexibility to move from Cambridge dictionary to oxford's and vice versa to find so many definitions and examples , i wish to add back page and next page buttons to make the experience more convenient .

The app was full of Ads after a while of use. The Ads couldn't be closed and they literally took up all the cellphone screen space, which make the app useless. I decided to uninstall it.

The UX of this app is totally in need of improvement. It's not convenient to use the search. And it was a bad idea to make one app for 5 dictionaries? No, no, no. The browser version is much better than the app

The application serves its purpose. I really enjoy using it. The sound is clear while many words can be accessed. Therefore, I rate it with 5 stars.
