Easy to use, and very helper for data storage. Also work for both phone and computer which is very user friendly, and it is happy to use the above feature at free version. Highly recommended.
Previously I bought this app for a few dollars when they didn't offer membership (I don't like membership). Now they have a lot of client they changed my ownership of the app to subscription and it limits me from doing the stuff I used to do with this app. Previously I have 5 stars, now they deserve zero. I also contacted their customer service department and didn't get any answer from them. I will contact my credit card company to dispute these charges
Look like a good app however does not backup your contacts to a cloud unless you pay $46 us year. I didn't realise and factory reset my phone and lost all my contacts!!!! You can backup manually on free version. Not worth it!!!!
Used it occasionally. It was an OK app, used to make lots of mistakes in the information while reading. As it was free, I didn't bother; just corrected the information manually. Then they became greedy and removed the most important feature of syncing with contacts from the free version. Franky speaking this is not as app worth USD 47/year. Plus in covid situation sharing business cards even reduced. Looking for an alternative and will uninstall immediately.
The photo software needs a method to select anti-glare for business cards with the shiny glossy surface(s). The only selection I could find was flash on/off which I did not need, I had adequate ambient light. When cards are glossy, the data on the business card is obscured. On the whole, CC is a great app, I am satisfied.
Question: it's now May of 2022 I've downloaded this app onto my new iPad and iPhone and want to sync it with my Gmail how do I get or change my password ? .... Great program used it for years just downloaded to a new phone
Working much better on the iPhone than Android. It would be great if the user experience could be the same
Excellent tool for saving your contacts, very useful and easy to use.
good app, but I would like to share all my contacts between diff phones. The app has loged me out. Can't reset the password. I used my email to login to the app, now app wants password for my email and it is trying to send an email from my account!! 😳😳 I downgrade from 4 star to 1 star... Can't get any lower.
Used to sync free...now they want a large subscription payment to use. No, I don't need to pay for all these features everyday when I don't use them.
Although my subscription was supposed to be valid until December, I was charged 30-ish % more after I reinstaled the app. I requested a refund with the explanation of what happened but it was denied. Great customer service :slowclap :sarcastic:
so easy and convenient especially the ability to instantly thank newest card recipient with automatic "impress" feature .
Incredibly fast and easy to use. Text recognition was really accurate. Recommended by friend and love it already
I've been using this app for years with several phones and it's never failed me! Great app.
After installing this app I can no longer see who is texting me by name. When I am their info it goes to camcard only.
Was Very handy... I would be prepared to pay up to $15 per year but not what they ask
Easy to use. Intuitive and accurate
I need to save business cards, but would like to sync it to my email to archive them too.
I installed this program when it first came out and loved it. I scanned and synced it with Outlook regularly. Then all of a sudden you could no longer sync with Outlook, the message said that capability would be added back in soon. Well months later it was but now you can't sync to Outlook without upgrading to the version that costs $50 a year. This is just aggravating, something I've used for years and now it's useless to me without paying an annual fee. I had recommended this to a lot of people over the years but now I'll have to find something else and hope I can move my info over to it.
This app is well worth it, considering the free option. I don't need a lot and being able to 'scan' (picture of document with camera) any business card, document, certificate... whatever; just a few taps and save! The is also the option to edit at any time. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and only get the scan done, then I go back in later and update all the necessary information. There are a few things that could be better, but it's FREE, so I can't complain. Thank you for making this app available!
I have used Camcard for about 8 years now. It is so useful. Got the free version then quickly went over my limit. Bought the paid version. Back then I think I paid $2.75 for unlimited cards. The problem I have is that every time I add a new card it ask me to subscribe to a monthly subscription. I paid for unlimited already!! STOP. As for the other reviews saying it doesn't capture the image and correctly file the info into its proper fields...STOP. Not a perfect system. Just review & correct.
Been using this for years. It works great! Have had minimal issues with it. The only negative I can think of is the accuracy of it. They sell some kind of proof reading extras, but to me the whole point of this app is to scan cards in, they should strive to be more accurate without paying extra. It's like paying an employee a bonus to go their job better.
This app does not scan the card info to my phone's contacts - only to the app. I also found that there were several mistakes that needed correcting: it didn't add the person's name so I had to enter that manually. And the street address and city were incorrect. There was also no field for a web address so I had to create a custom field for that. Biggest issue: it won't save a contact w/out a mobile #, even if there's not one on the card! I had to change 'work' to 'mobile' to save the contact.
So far it's been a very good app, though it needs good even light to correctly pick up words. Cards with a lot of shine or glossy colour give it a hard time picking out words, so I have to type in the correct letters from time to time. Overall I would definitely recommend this app, it saves a great deal of time and aids my work.
It's a great idea and could be really useful if it accurately captured the data on the business card. But every single cards needs to be edited for accuracy before you save it. I even bought the premium membership to be able to save it to contacts, and I swear that made it worse. And you have to pay extra for proofreading? That's just plain obnoxious. It seems like it might be faster to enter it all manually in to my contacts. Anyway, if they can fix the inaccuracy in the data, it would be useful to have. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on an upgrade to premium.
WARNING: Now they have disabled sync, so you can't get your cards from the app to the web/cloud. That and ads for the paid plus plus version each time you do any action in the app. AVOID! I have the paid version. Which is now also an unpaid version because they added a 'premium paid version'. It's hopeless, OCR is like the 90s (since the premium was introduced), it shows ads on every startup. Worse it NEVER SYNCS with the web version unless you do it manually. Which you wouldn't normally do, So you'd lose all your data if you reset your phone. I'm sure if you paid this 2nd level pay version, it'll only be a year when they add another level and get you to pay all over again.
I spent countless hours scanning business cards. Had 500 or so scanned. The scanner misreads print regularly, so you have to check over all the details after every scan and frequently make corrections, although this is mainly caused by fancy, scripty fonts. I was pretty happy with the organization of the cards, although there could be some improvements there. I was generally pretty happy with the app UNTIL I opened the app yesterday and all of my cards were gone! I am beyond frustrated!
great app, automatic recognition works fine (saves you a lot of time) but I can't seem to find an option to turn off the addition of a "blanc" photo to the contacts that are exported to my Google account... I always have to go into my contacts and manually remove the photo (blanc white square) that camscanner has added to the contact, a bit annoying
This app used to work reasonably well. However, with the last card I scanned and corrected, not so much. It disappeared from the app and was never synced to my contacts. Does the app now require an online account to save contacts? Does android's new poorly implemented remove permissions strike again? If either of these is the problem, there should be some error detection in the app. Either way, if you're going to use this app, regularly double-check the results.
