Camcorder - VHS Home Videos

this was my favourite app on the G4 but when I switched over to the LG G5 last month it's been horrible. Even on the brightest days the quality shows up very dark, not even the flash can save the footage. Tried unistalling and re-installing multiple times, but nothing worked. Very disappointing.

While the app is excellent and runs really well, I think it is missing a key features which is being able to hide the date stamp, since 2016 is not a very vhs vintage looking year to have on a video. Personally the look of the app should be refined a little bit, keeping it vintage, but also good looking and functional. Great idea and app so far.

Its pretty good but there should be a settings option to change the date of the video. It kinda ruins that vintage look seeing the date stamp in 2016. You should also give the option on how much static you want in a video or a title in the video, it kinda cheesed me knowing that i couldnt do any of that, instead im left with a flash button, switching from front to back camera, and zoom in and out. Please add these features and ill rate it 5 stars.

By far the easiest VHS-retro camera to use. Free, no ads, you just point and shoot. I've yet to have any kind of issues and I doubt any will pop up in the future. Easy to use, easy access to other apps. Only thing I'd wish for is to be able to move the VHS tears where ever you want. But even though you cant (as far as I know), this is still a 5 star app.

This app is something I've been wanting for a long time now. I think it's got the right stuff to be an excellent app, but it's lacking some features and fixes that keep it from becoming just that. For one, there's no settings menu. It would be great if we could change the time stamp on a recorded video or remove it all together. Having the option to adjust the vhs effect would be nice too. Secondly, it can only shoot video. The option to shoot still photos would make Camcorder far more versatile.

It's okay if it this app had more features it wouldn't definitely grab the eye of more people and it would allow us to use the app to it's fullest extent. I can play and record a video, howevr, when I try to export the video back onto my computer it won't work. Also. I can't hear any of the sound I recorded as well. I'm hoping there can also be a menu button to adjust the static on the phone or to at least change basic settings such as flash or even changing the date to make it more vintage/ aesthetic vibe.

It's great to use in unison with other video editor apps, more features would be awesome in the future. The trim function is kind of finicky but after time you could cut/trim successfully. The free price point is definitely appreciated, the editing options are easily intuitive. Regardless, the app is certainly a must have if you are looking for a vintage look.

Works very well. The only problem I had was with the front camera option. My phone's regular camera function works fine but looks really dark on this app. Also, I would really appreciate it if a pause button were added as well as the ability to record without audio, adjust static amount, and adjust color saturation.

Has not been updated since December 3rd 2015. Same Developer for Yaycam, I purchased both applications without knowing it was the same developer using different names. Both applications will not record audio. I emailed the developer several days ago, before posting this review and they have not responded.

It would be good if it had the rest of features as a real old Camcorder would have,such as battery icon and rec red dot display but still 4.5 stars. No ads, does exactly what it says it does. Please add a battery percantage even if its not the phone's battery itself, and the word rec in the actual video itself. Just for that look.

Overall it's cool. Dope af. The only problem I encountered is that the sound is not asymmetrical with the video. The sound is way faster than the video itself. Like I'm still saying something and the sound's already done. You get what I mean? Idk if my phone's just dumb or whatever. But I think its fine, I thought my memory's just full but nah. Its all okay. So I hope this would get fixed. I really really like this application. Shots app is great too!

İt is really cool one. Free for life time and no ads ! But please add an option where you can change the date and take a photo.Also little bit more VHS effects. This is all what this app needs. Thank you :) You doing really good job :)

So simple and so easy to use. It's also not so staticky when you record which is a bonus, no water mark displaying on the screen with the company name on it and the camera is clear but not super clear which makes it more cooler and realistic. You guys should add a pause button and some sort of editor on here and this app would be complete. Also if we can add our music on it. Other than that I like it more than the other apps by far! 😻

Well compared to the Rarevision VHS cam it doesn't have really authentic VHS quality however it's much clearer to see on this app than any other. Only the Rarevision VHS Cam has the ability to take still images, this doesn't but this can however convert previous videos into VHS filtered ones

It's s great app, a great fx. The only thing I would improve, is the position of the rec button, is always on the right side, could be like the stock camera that if you flip the phone the remains in the same spot. That way is more comfortable to reach with each hand.

The App is marvelous! The only thing that I'd suggest is that there should a be a setting button where you can adjust the light, saturation, color, grains, time and date etc. It would be much cooler if you had those. I really enjoyed shooting some clips, but the only problem I saw was the color of yhe video was way too dull.. needs more color adjustments.

It's a cool idea, but there are no options on this app. You can't even change the timestamp to something that's more retro then the time your in now. Please fix this and please for the love of all that is good, add an option button with a vast array of options. Thanks.

Saves you a ton of memory. It's simple to use and FILMS in 480p analog with 3 minute intervals. So easy to use, and I have over 150 separate videos which only consumed 2 gigs.... Wow.... I don't just endorse anything, but this is a must for any YouTube armature or professional film artist.

put the zoom control on the other side, it blocks the camera whenever i try to use it. also add a feature where we can adjust the saturation/sharpness according to our likes. it will also be cool to add the option to add background noise like the rolling projector. the app is good, however it needs more features.

I love this. It's simple and acts as if you has an old VHS camera recorder. It doesn't need a lot of options as then you had the one recorder and that's it. Thank you so much for making this ❤️ it will be great to one day record my kids special moments using it

Virtually no features other than flash & selfie,not even a settings or menu button to customize or alter things beyond basic stock cam. Requesting features to improve. There's a lot of room to grow if developed some: Variable static effects & amounts,B&W,Adjustable date/time,basic in-vid titles & wipes. Basic cut/paste video editing,mic distortion options,color adjustment controls. Currently it's a basic 'static/date/time' overlay w/vintage filter over stock camera. Nothing impressive but has potential.
