As an machinist with over 10 years of experience, i find this app excellent. All threads and tolerances info in seconds and it's free. Can't understand negative reviews, probably from old timers who like their old books and time wasting.
Could be excellent as there's quite a bit of helpful info. When I saw the Imperial thread listings I knew it was a must-have. OOPSIE.... all data for imperial threads are in metric. I didn't go any further once I saw that. Hopefully the developer will rectify in future releases.
Bolt torque specs only lists metric fasteners. Horsepower requirement calculator absent. Clearly this is a work in progress. Has potential, but is currently very incomplete.
Extremely pointless for experienced Machinist! All is good for is G codes and links to other apps/sites.. that's about it. Oh my bad, I think there's some stuff on here about angles.... I've already known everything off the top of my dome!!
Even though it says you've switched from Metric to Standard in the settings, it actually doesn't switch
Lots of words not in English, and some/most of the feedrate calculators are broken in imperial units.
Exceptional app, use it every damn day, makes my life 10000x times easier! My hero for creating this seriously!
excellent app for anyone in Engineering or metalworking, the best i've come across.
All the basics of machining in one app.
A very useful app for Machinists.
Best app for all mechanical engineers who are pursuing now and also helpful as a pocket dictionary. Please add following standards for threads terminology and parameters. simple and useful. Thank you.
Very good invention for learner's.
Welldone,but it still can grow
RPM unit bug showing m/min instead of rev/min
Very useful software
this is good app...
very useful in my cnc milling
Handy App. Thank you
God bless you for this app
Add api thread with guage maker calculated
This app replaced every oil-soaked tolerance table I had hanging around. Couldn't ask for more from a machinist app.
Useful tool for machining and many other things
It is a good start, but it seems to have been developed by someone without practical experience. For example ...the m codes are not the same from one type of control to another as in a fanuc vs okuma....even different fanuc controls have different codes sometimes. Another thing on the speed and feed calculations...what kind of material are you running with what brand/grade of inserts? Those both affect it.
