I DID NOT install this to my phone because the photos that it takes now stinks. Especially when uou try to zoom in, it's really really grainie. So, I don't want to add anything else that will make it any worse. And after reading these reviews, I know I am NOT going to update my camera. I had an iPhone 4s that i could take pics while moving and they were perfect, this camera is garbage. Because of the camera i am going back to the iPhone. I take lots of pictures.
This is worthless. It's not the camera that was here. If this is an upgrade.... don't make me tell you what you can do with it. Nice timing BTW during Christmas holidays when no one ever takes pictures !! It won't let me take a picture at all. Keeps telling me to restart camera ! I've uninstalled and reinstalled app, shut off/turned on phone, removed/reinstalled battery to no avail.The last time it took a picture was 12-12-2019.
The camera on the E5 play is the worst camera on an 8mp rear & 5 mp front camera cellphone Ive ever had. The Moto G4 Play has a much better camera. As well as the old Samsung J3 2016. ( Plus many more ). Can adjust E5 play camera to a little better mode by switching settings in professional mode but this setting cant be saved. As camera returns to default camera setting on each camera use. And honestly I dont think an update can correct this low quality flip phone style camera.
It's confusing moto, my server, and goigle has a camera it would seem I would just want my phone model's app. My phone server not sure, goog just wants to make it look like they are doing something good for you to invade privacy and track you. I just dont need all these apps although goog tries to dominate over my phone apps with all the updates for tracking.
I guess in not sure what this app does or doesn't do. All of the pictures I take get a chance for me to alter the picture and change lighting and exposure.
Camera doesn't work. When I try to take a picture all I get is a message, "Camera error, restart camera" very frustrating! Tried all "fixes" nothing works.
after the first forced update i was happy with this app extension. Now as everything goes with Motorola, this is junk! Clearly in the description you say " now you.can update the camera, from time to time we will send out updates" yeah??? when? youve not done the first update s8nce 2018! You have to try hard to suck worse Lenovo/Motorola
Have seen an improvement.. enough on some days to give you the other 2 stars but still think the software could be better..would love to see info on who's camera\software am i using on screen ..as i am convinced it is not always the same..clue me in on this and you get another star..give me control ill add 5😁
This is my first Motorola (Moto) , a less expensive one, but I still like my phone in general. However the camera just doesn't take great picture. The quality.... 🤷
I thought it helped alot especially if you see something very hidden and or very not good and witness it u can get it on camera this app is helpful in looking at people or things and seeing close or far away but they're on my roof I can't catch them
Not working properly and uses too much storage. Phone keeps issuing a storage code.
Whenever I open an app and try to use the camera from an app it's always way too dark
I very much enjoy the quality of the camera, it's almost perfect, more than i expected.
Pictures suck! Worst ones I have ever had from a phone a cheapie phone does better!

Great experience in taking photos
Even when camera is on auto, its more complicated to operate than a liver transplant. I never asked for this app to be installed yet here it is. What's more complicated... removing the software. My previous Samsung ran circles around this menagerie. I took a pic and it downloaded easy peasy. Now I have to bring my Nikon 20.1 COOLPIX 8X optical zoom VR with WI-FI. Much simpler to operate. Need simple app to remove the camera tuner ASAP!
