Camera Unlock power btn (free)
If you get a company smartphone, it is most probably password protected ... In that case "Camera Unlock" is designed for you. This application allows to get access to the camera while the smartphone remains locked (even password protected) more or less like on the Apple Iphones !
Upload the application, launch it and a notification will be displayed to inform that the "Camera Unlock" service is running.
Once your device get locked (password protected, swipe or pin), you get two options:
- either just press 3 times the power button each press shall occur around once every second (no more) and a camera will appear. The correct sequence is: press it, wait for screen on, press it, wait for screen off, press it : a bit "à la pressy"
- or set your device in a vertical position up side down and press once the power button and release it (you get a vibration) then turn back the phone horizontally in landscape position (you get a second vibration). This works too when the screen is OFF and the phone not locked
Use it ... the pictures are stored in the external SD card in the directory DCIM/Camera if available or in the device memory same directory in case the SD card is not present.
Once the camera is unlocked, pressing the "back" button will lock again the camera and brings back on the device lock screen .
From a security point of view, don't be afraid, only "Camera Unlock" application is unlocked. It remains impossible to access to any other application. It is more or less the same principle which is used by the agenda to warn you of a rendez-vous even if the device is locked.
On splash screen you get the opportunity to activate/inhibit the background service and also to show or not the Camera Unlock notification. When the notification is displayed, pressing it brings you to the camera.
Note after having installed the application Camera Unlock Service will automatically be loaded if you reboot the device.

I can't seem to get the triple press to work? Maybe my timing is just off. The vertical launch works just fine and the camera launches nice and quickly. Would be good if it remembered your flash setting though instead of defaulting to no flash each time. I also can't find how to open the settings page in order to disable the notification? The context menu button only gives me the option to Rate/Comment or buy the pro version... But I do love the idea for this, thanks for developing :)
I own a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 T-Moblie (SGH-M919). I could not find anything like this on Xposed without a full custom rom. Then I stumbled accross this. IT WORKS. 3 presses on the lock button and boom your in a very well done camera app. It is not the stock camera app that is on your phone. Thank you Aeropic!!!
This will break the buttons. Just unlock with normal button and go to camera instead 3 clicks to the hardware button
Takes a picture every time it re-focuses after taking the first picture after being launched. Almost.
Error sign said Can't save photos after I did triple push power button then camera showed up and snapped photo but not avaliable saved in DCIM. Uninstalled. I will try it again later if u fix it.
Great workaround for bypassing lock screen, as well who wants to quickly draw a camera! Perfect!

Got a null pointer exception. Also the vertical unlock activate doesn't work. On the second try, null pointer exception is gone. But vertical activate still doesn't work.
A setting for shutter sound enabling would be nice. Especially in outdoor, a sound would be much easier to know if the picture is taken.
It works great to take photos without having to unlock the device but, I can't find any of the photos I take on my camera roll. Could you please help? Will rate 5 stars once the issue is fixed.
Handy work around to enable use of a camera without having to unlock the device. Would benefit from a button on the interface to change wake options.
missed lots of photos by having to unlock phone before i could use the camera. the app works well and i am ready to shoot in five seconds
Great app and really pleased to be able to do this now. .. Was working fine but now just having taking a pick it gives a Java error saying there's no such file or directory...continue yes/no... Please fix :)
Works as design. But sometimes I found lots of picture been taken...

I am so glad that someone has finally made this app. Google should really have fixed the inability to have quick camera access and device security in their OS, but I'm glad you've created a workaround until they do. It does what it says it will do for me (Galaxy S3). The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because, while it does come with a lot of cool filter effects that the standard camera doesn't have, there is no focus feature. I don't know how easy that would be to add, but it's really helpful when trying to take pictures of things involving text.
Works perfectly, however it would be nice to have it take videos as well. I would gladly pay for that feature.
