CameraFi - USB Camera / Webcam

ADS!! My experience has been ok at best. Most frustrating thing is the ads. I try to open the camera and it pops up an ad. I try to close the app an ad pops up with the confirmation. And finally if I can't shut off the microphone and still use the still image camera or microscope I Will likely be uninstalling this as soon as I find a replacement.

Not good. The device ran ok for about 10 minutes, then all we could get was a still picture, then nothing. Tried again over several days by uninstalling and reinstalling. Again got a still picture intermittently then it froze, then a blank screen. Tried installing on other devices, nothing. In short it doesn't work. I suspect there are wires that are disconnected or loose somewhere within the device.

Installed app. Spent 40 mins trying to make it work. Received absolutely continuous, repetative pop-ups for ads and apps - especially Twitter (approx 40 times - I HATE Twitter) - telling Google over and over again not to show them again, which they ignored. There were so many ads and pop-ups, it was impossible to actually get the CAMERA software set up, let alone actually work. Some of the ads I closed simply re-opened again immediately. At one point, I could not even get the Galaxy to close ALL apps, so I could start again. I got so angry and frustrated that I got close to smashing my Galaxy on my stone hearth and in the end, decided the app was totally unuseable and uninstalled it. I will probably throw away the endoscope too, as there doesn't seem to be anything that will drive it. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would do so. In fact, if I could give it MINUS five stars, it would be more appropriate. When is 'Made in the UK' going to come back?

Looking for an app for an OTG USB microscope. This was recommended by the manufacturer, but it crashed and was clunky. Downloaded CameraFi 2 but it was even worse. Both are difficult to navigate, not a lot of options, and not very stable. Still looking for a fix.

Absolute trash slow, soaked in ads, ridiculously expensive to rid the ads (double the $ of any other app) The app launch is the slowest ever. The app when it starts is sluggish and based around clearly old Holo code. The options are hard to figure out, even the exit screens is an ad. The app even watermarks the image. .... And the app DOESN'T EVEN WORK! I got nothing but lines across my screen, I thought I had a defective camera but the first try on a windows PC using Amcap and it worked well.

Well, it works, but..... video is very stuttery , which I blamed on the camera until I downloaded a different app which did not have the same issue also tended to freeze screen and I had to restart quite a bit. This could have been a reaction to my blocking data access so it wasn't using my data to download ads lots of good features but just not quite up to par

The ads are super annoying. The ads cover up some of the options so you can't use part of the app, when you snap a picture there is a "CameraFi" watermark that is ridiculous as well. No way to remove them. Let me buy the app or something to get rid of the ads and watermark at least.

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to install but I'd figure I'd try it out. No complaints, picture is clear, connected right away. Only one small add at the top. Focused great. I did not update to version 2.0 so that may be why I don't have the same issues. (Google pixel 3a)

App does not work. Period. Asks for permission to record video and audio but won't let you select ok only cancel and then app closes. Tried version 2 with same results. Have been using for 1 year with great results until last update. I give it 0 stars and won't be using again unless they fix the bugs.

Great snapshot pictures, cant find the video icon... The snapshots were so good I bought the pro version. The people that have negative comments must not have clicked on their debugging when plugging the camera into the cell phone. My LG v20 is running just fine and the snapshots are surprisingly good for the small amount of money I paid for this.

Overloaded with ads. Ads are obtrusive, with an overlay on the image (not a big deal) but also an ad banner that blocks a decent portion of the image (terrible). Then they are numerous ads on opening and closing the app. Aspect ratio and other settings so not persist through reopening.

App opens OK and I connect the (endoscope type) camera but when I then try to choose any on screen options it reboots my phone. I also just plugged the camera in to see whta happens. App opens and 10 seconds later phone reboots anyway! This app is nominated as the one to use by the instruction pamphlet in the camera box so I expect it to work. Without a camera connected, no reboot but the app is then useless!!

I understand people integrate ads in their applications. It helps to improve apps but here ads are way too disruptive and even covering interface elements and there is no way to move or hide them to use the interface elements. Terrible design. It works though.

I've had this app for almost a year and never had any issues until now. It asks for permissions and the 'ok' is greyed out so the only option is to click on 'cancel' which closes the app down! Uninstalled and looking for another app. No response from the developer to all the bad reviews!

Bought this for LG X-Power phone and it did work until I updated the app. Now I cannot take pictures or video. CAMERAFI_ERR_UNKNOWN(-53) Another complaint was that there was no manual focus and no way to remove the ads that block options on the screen. Don't get this product!

Hopefully this is the correct app for my USB camera, I have already tried 2 others from the same make. Neither of them worked. The pictures shown on this site are the same as the disc programme looked when I last had installation disc.

App's not worth it all's it says is a forced stop. You see a bit of a pic but then a screen pops up asking something then that's it you don't see any images of what you want to look at so waste of time buying the product you intended to use. Not worth any stars but had to give one so I could post this.

don't know much about it., no instructions. can't get any video. Lights come on, but that's about all. Just found out why. There is a break in the cable, touch it near the connector, light flickers, guess I need to contact them. and wait, again......

Complete junk when used on a Moto. The advertising customisation popup crashes the phone, so the app can't even load. Fail, go back and take a deep think about whether advertising is more important than the app.

Will not run without record audio permissions. I just want to see the camera. Opens with fullscreen ad for what i assume is a paid version. Ask for perms, say no to audio, get redirected to app info page. Restart, full screen ad for outside company, clear it, back to app info. Uninstall reinstall, fine, have audio. Doesn even find the camera. Save your time and dont install in the first place.

They have gotten this working on Android 9 since the first time I tried it. I'd consider the free version to be almost unusable without the $7.99 ad-free upgrade.

App requires subscription to remove watermark. Also if you un-install it, it removes the images you collected with it. It nags you to upgrade to a version 2. Ads all over interface. Generally poor experience. Deleted.

I hate it when they keep on pestering me with adds. Remove the adds by google. Can not realy see much with this camera when its dark even when switching on the led light. Thought I would be able to see something in a pipe, but useless for that.

Ads cover screen. No option to remove. There's a similar app called "OTG View" that has more features, is quicker, and doesn't have appalling ads everywhere; I recommend that.

Full of adverts. You can't even close the app without having to decline installing other apps. Terrable app. Don't install. It also wants to record your audio !! Why ?

Camera camera quickly, it actually was very good picture, however has worked for 3mins and then the picture went all strange colours so now you can't make anything out. So was good briefly.

Third app that recognises & works on borescope & best so far in that it auto creates a photo gallery - others did not. Led light works. If ads botheryou - use on Aerplane mode. LGK8 Android8. Now uninstalled F1 and gone to the F1 version - beta. Still 4 stars for now.

I first got this app when i was using a galaxy note 4 the app worked perfectly. I no longer have the note 4 but now have a galaxy s10 plus and now there is no option to record vids. Only a pic button is there. Like the app a lot BUUUT the lack of video kinda kills the rating.
