CamFind - Visual Search Engine

I'm sure its great for finding objects. This app, like all other reverse image apps and Google search are evidently stifled by some privacy or copyright law or another...who knows. There was a time when identifying a catfisher was so easy - but now no longer. I'm sure that's good news for the scammers. Its bad news for those of us who have an "eye" for a scammer but need absolute proof to turn them in and thereby save 100s of others from being taken in by said scammer. Shame.

From what I understand of the apps function is that you take a picture of an item and the app is supposed to search the web for a matching item and it is supposed to give options of websites to go to for that particular item. Well more than half the time I take a picture of an item and it comes up with something completely generic like white plate, red and black box, yellow vase. Not helpful!

TERRIBLE & A WASTE OF TIME AND AGGRAVATION! A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! All the insects I attempted to identify through this app were 100% not properly identified even though the images were clear as day. For example, two insects I tried to identify were identified as plants, and/or a silver chain necklace (even though the insects had no silver coloring whatsoever) and/or leaves, etc., and the photos of both insects were 100% clear and should have been easily identified, should the app actually had performed as it was allegedly programmed to do. A HUGE LET DOWN!

I'm impressed! I tried that Bixby thing that came with my phone first and it sucked! It failed miserably twice on the same item! So I went to the Play Store to find something better. I DID, I DID! Not only did it correctly identify the object I had previously photographed with Bixby. It offered info on it and places to purchase it. I like CamFind!

Pretty cool just taking a picture of an object and getting info and even cost about it. Convenient to post personal items that you i want to sell on local sales sites and apps like Letgo and Offer Up. Only downfalls I can really recognize are the layout of the app isn't as easy to navigate as it could be AND there are times when it has a hard time recognizing what is being pictured even with clear details and commonly known objects. All-in-all it's great and lessens my work posting sale items!

Welp, on my very 1st try was a picture of an SUV i saw on a show - perfect pic of the front of it, the entire front end of the SUV, & it returned incorrect results 6 diff times!? i took several diff pics & it wasnt even close on ALL SIX! Then, i try to search the web to see if others had an issue & its the weirdest thing - You cant find 1 bad thing about this app & ive used several different search terms over 10x of searching - wth???!!!

Yep! This app completely worthless. When you want to look up picture it puts image in a circle and you can't move image around for what your looking for. And everything it results for is clothing item. And Always sends you to Target the store. Freaking PATHETIC

Not helpful. I downloaded this app so I could take pictures of things and find out where i can buy them, but the shopping option is almost never available anymore. I took a picture of a black leather jacket, and all that came up was videos and more CamFind posts. I think this happened with the most recent update, because it wasn't like that when I first downloaded it.

The app does not recognize most things. An example I'll show it magic the gathering card and it will tell me it's a Lord of the rings movie case. But it recognizes other things like my ps4 controller. The whole reason to want this app is to figure out what your taking a picture of is but it can only do that with pictures of items that are extremely common and that you most likely will already know what it is and can search it very easily on google.

The app keeps asking me to connect to a network, and gives me a network error. I had just downloaded the app, so I know I'm connected to the network. I tried running the app with both my LTE connection and my house network. Both fail.

Terrible interface. It's always glitching. Canr update email, couldnt login to old account, would never send reset link, it kept saying my password was incorrect. But I use the same password on every site. So I know it was right. And it had NEVER told me the correct info about anything I have sent to it. Always skr. Thing generic like black charging cable. Who cares. Tell me what kind of cable or what brand. Tools a pic of a NFL cup with team all over it. App says "green cup". Seriously?

kind of useless if you consider what it identifies and searches. I got black padded chair rolling. first off it was a stationary chair secondly what good its black and padded chair those are things I could look up with alot less effort than to download this app and upload a picture :/ and am pretty convinced that the reviews are spammed so not super trust worthy would give 1 start but it technically does what it's supposed to just not to the extent that I wanted 😕

I downloaded this to see if it was as bad as everyone in the reviews said, and also to see what it would say a picture of me was. I wasnt using it for anything major, but the problem i encountered was i just couldn't use it. Every image i put in, the app told me i didnt have a connection. I have my data turned on, i have data and i checked the permissions to see if that had anything to do with it. No, i havent a clue whats wrong

no matter what I did it wouldn't identify the species of the spider, it only said "black and grey spider" if you want to find out the species of something do NOT get this app. it would also misidentify the spider, saying at first that it was a "black and white beaded necklace" please fix your apps bugs!

Yeah so apparently the app is super touchy. I took a picture of a spider, and it said I was too close. Ok so then I moved farther back. Then it didn't even get the spider. It didn't even get the wall it was on. So what do I just have to kill it so that I can find out if it's poisonous or not? How's that going to work for someone trying to figure out if a bug or a snake is poisonous? You're making it to where they would have to get super close just to get a decent shot and then HOPE it goes through to tell you what to do around it.

In the future, an app based on this idea, that actually works will be amazing. I searched for an elite silverware set with very unique handle shape and it identified it as flatware. .duh. I was hoping it would match to the many images on the web and identify the style, brand, and name. I searched for a signature baseball bat and it did identify it as a bat -duh. It seems verrry basic to me but not helpful as I have been able to identify and find standard objects since before I was 5 years old.

Not even close on both items I tried. Image identification has a long way to go... Also could not closed it or switch to other apps, it just kept popping up, I had to force stop in phone settings, so I uninstalled it.

Basically it does a Google search that you yourself could be more accurate in describing. Tried it on several items and it couldn't identify even the correct colors of the items. Useless to me

Hilariously useless. Can maybe recognize one out of a hundred images, assuming it's super obvious and clear to begin with. I can't imagine this would be helpful in identifying something that you don't already know. The only thing it might be good for is entertainment in how ridiculously wrong its answers are!

POOR accuracy when finding out the image taken. I JUST used it to identify my rocks and it COULDN'T and DIDN'T even identify them right. I tried 3 of them and it didn't work. fix it please because your app could be a potential benefit for rockhounds like me and others into geology.

I tried using it to find another pair of my head phones that are teal and purple with Z or a 2 with a slash brand becuase I could remember what it is. It responed saying it was Pink, Black, Beats, and other nonsence. Thats not the worst part, once it did get the colors right it crashed.

I don't know if it's just me but this app makes my camera blur. As soon as I turn off the app my megapixels return. Then I turn it back on and it's to blurry to see through. Maybe that's why it only got 3 out of 10 right..

It does a bad job at scanning the colors

This could not find itself. I tried a picture of my daughter's snake to find out exactly what kind of python it is and it came up with a pattern but not even close to a snake. I deleted it from my phone and list of my apps.

I downloaded this app to get help finding a necklace I purchased years ago. I found a pic of it on google but had trouble finding it for sale. So I downloaded this app thinking it would search the world wide web.. Nope. All it did was search google which I can do myself. Then the only result it found was the one I scanned to begin with.. I then tried a nail polish brand I've been looking for and it kept scanning as a perfurme bottle or little black dress. Not impressed don't waste your time.
