CamSam - Speed Camera Alerts

Not missed a beat!!!! Just bought Pro, it just perfectly runs in the background! CamSam is one of those apps that you wonder why you have never found before, and it becomes one of a few essential apps in your collection. I was looking for a speed camera app, after being flashed by a speed camera, and looked at lots of them in Play Store, many of them did not work, or were not suitable, but CamSam actually worked. As I use “Android Auto” in the car, I wanted an additional voice warning when approaching cameras, initially I had a problem, but after a request to the developer, a very fast reply came back, and the initial problem was solved! I will probably purchase the pro version shortly, as it would be nice to have both a voice and visual warning, in addition to the navigation screen with “Android Auto”. Overall, a very well designed and professional looking app, add to that a fast response to a question, you then have an essential app, which in addition keeps you alert to speed cameras.

I wish it would warn only once. 3 times is too much and I start not taking it seriously. Also sometimes it can't get the satellite position so the app is rendered useless during these down times!!!

It works, but there are no audio speed limit warnings for fixed cameras making the app almost pointless. It just says the speed cam is approaching and distance. If the speed limit is displayed on screen only this is of no use to me.

newer versions are fundamentally broken on my tablet (android 6). menus blink wildly and its impossible to select any items. it is also no longer possible to report new cameras or update existing ones. previous versions worked well. very disappointed with the newer version that was forcibly installed/updated.

Great app... A little delayed sometimes but plenty of warning as it gives you more than one alert. I think 2 is enough... When you hear the 100 m alert you are usually passing the camera.... So it does need more than 1 warning Great for use in France and other countries when other sat nav systems are not permitted to alert for cameras.

It used to be good but now you can't close the app, it just reopens itself time after time. Device One Plus 9 running Android 12

It's working but I don't understand why the overlay mode isn't available for free. That way I can't report speed cams just with one tap while using Google Maps and therefore there are less reports overall.

App is as great as the comunity wants to contribute. So, more ppl in your area has the app, more acurate and updated it is. I recomend it highly. And tell your friends about it.

A good app but the database seems not to be updated very often. There were mobile cameras set up for roadworks on my commute home that were removed over a month ago but CamSam still warns me about them.

Only app I could find that warns of highway installed red light, AND speed detectors. app can not be moved to external SD memory. Otherwise it would be give stars.

A good app. but 3 warnings for every camera gets a bit tedious. It would be better if it could be set for just 1 warning per camera. There are better apps out there.

Hi CamSam, installed ur app a few days ago, tried on every journey and it is Spot On!!. Will definitely keep this one on!!, Well Done Team.

Simple, work in back ground options, map options, accurate, no need to look anywhere else.

Work perfectly for traffic cameras and it's also showing their positions on the road. I wish they also work for r mobile cameras and radars but even this is good enough.

I installed this app first and then installed cam plus found that it didn't work! Inaccurate speed while driving and no warnings of over the speed limits and no speed cameras detected! I was doing 60mph it showed 56mph!? just a bit out of range!!

It works well. I dont know if the app shows old spots that do not exist anymore or it I cant find them! Either way I like the Intel..

Quite poor to be fair and hoping for a response to this review from developer Support page is all in German so no help to me at all. I like the fact you don't need to put in a destination for it to work but the down side is while traveling on a motorway it warns of cameras all around which are not relevant so false positives. Also can report cameras but cannot report when a temporary average speed camera has been removed after roadworks are complete so more false positives.

I use it in France, it has been 100% accurate with three warnings, 2 as you approach the camera, with the last just at the camera.

Paid for the plus version as it said system requirements android 4 or higher but i can't get the map to show so asked for a refund, zero rating

Not accurate. When I was travelling on a motorway with speed limit of 70mph it kept warning me of speed cameras on a parallel road 250 to 400 metres to my left.

Super support in driving. And very nice. Better for small size ( minimize) screens. Thankyou

Good for fixed camera's however, not fit for purpose with regards mobile speed cameras!

I've just installed this, in settings the languages in English but when I click on the support button it is in German, how do I change that?

get closer to a bigger city and it rings every five seconds. no speed cam in sight. you had one job. fail. delete. avoid.

It is stuck on kilometres per hour. It also has no library of cameras. In effect this app is practically useless!

Has saved me more money than I'd like to admit. Would be nice to be able to choose the alert sound
