Please note:
- You can select Metric or Imperial units
- CamToPlan measures distances horizontally (= on the ground) and vertically!
- There is no need to remove the furniture from the room for measurements. The application automatically determines the point of intersection between the floor and the target point, even if it is behind a piece of furniture.
- In good conditions = good lighting, textured (non-uniform) floor, lack of reflection on the floor. The app analyses the images of the video and relies on visual details identified automatically on these images. The application may have difficulty with some types of floor tiles. The accuracy is not guaranteed.
- You can safely move while taking measurements to get closer to your target point, for maximum precision, even if this point is hidden and calculated by extrapolation.

Great app have a few issues though. Need to be able to add doors or windows. Need to be able to edit plans to straighten out walls etc. Sometimes it would drop out in the middle and now way to go back and re edit or continue. And 30 a year more like 30 once is more like it. Until then it's a great start to a wonderful app.
I would recommend not to waste money on the paid version like I did. Vertical and expert mode are very unreliable. I use Samsung Note 9 which has good enough camera and no performance issue, yet I have to restart measurements many time to get to my desired plan. Horizontal feature was working fine in free version of the app as well, so nothing worth paying for this version of the app. Plan folder management and sub plan management within a folder are mess and useless.
Nice concept but of little practical value. Points marked on the floor get moved around while marking new points. Marked points can't be moved by user later. Vertical mode stops working (displaying vertical grid) when tilting the phone up much to capture intersection of wall and ceiling. I wouldn't pay for this app in the current state.
No need to collect any types of data. This app is currently ad free so no need to collect data to personalize ads. No need to collect data on how people interact to improve user interface later. That's what voluntary bug reporting or feedback option is for. No need for technical information unless said information is sent in conjunction with bug reporting or feedback. If you want a privacy policy in the app then put it when someone optionally sends a report, instead of one at the start of the app
Awesome app!!! Even for just playing around and finishing debates with your pops about how big the room is lol ...I'm stunned. Finally an app that does what it says and shows exactly like it does before downloading. Like for the app. discription pics. Controls can be a lil tricky but once ya get the hang of it, it becomes easier pretty quickly.
5 min trial: helpful for estimates. Has problems with furniture against the wall, or changing my standing position (not sure which). (When I returned to the starting point to finish the last measurement the flag had moved 6 inches up the wall. Not sure if this is because I was not standing in the same place.) I tried measuring my yard and the outside of my house, but they didn't turn out square -maybe not enough GPS satellites available in my region. I would use it to estimate gallons of paint, sheets of plywood, or yards of cement, but use a real tape before you start cutting.
This app used to be awesome years ago, technology has improved and the app has gone downhill. I can't even get one wall done because the camera goes out of focus and the entire floor plan has to be restored from the beginning.
This app is really cool. But it works better in iPhone than Android. In Android the flash can't be activated so when there is poor light the measurement is affected or hang it up. No printing opcion, no PDF export. Need my money back.
Loved the concept for this app but the execution wasn't there. Trying to do a nearly square 12'x12' room and the closest measurements I got were still out by more than 9". Floor detection works really well with the right lighting but the inaccurate measurements make it unusable for me.
Great product. Paid for the app years ago. Downloaded it on my new phone and it didn't come with the paid version. Simple email to the Devs sorted it out almost immediately. Great accurate product and team to back it. Highly recommended.
Awesome idea, needs to auto align walls and make corners 90 degrees. Also need a way to edit plans add rooms together and other features. Not worth $20, maybe $3.
Not real helpful when you're halfway through marking out a floor plan and it decides you're finished.. Going to be quicker to draw the freaking things out by hand.
This app would've been brilliant if it had the option to use the phones depth (tof) sensor to measure. I have a Samsung note 10+ and it has a built in tof sensor but the app doesn't make use of it.
its not detecting floor or wall after change my mob motog5s plus to moto one power. itvwas works properly on my previous mobile... but i have raised a complaint through mail to the app developer, they replied promptly and they said it was my mobile compatibility problem, and also got refunded my payment.... really i appreciate the way of handling customers by the team of CamToPlan.... anyhow i am missing a very good app for my business... i am a property consultant in Chennai india.
Just perfect, I used to make the plan on what furniture should I buy to my new house. Absolutely fantastic and accurate. Worth every penny!!
Can you arrange the list of the measured projects in descending order by date in Android version? It's really unpleasant to scroll through all the projects to get to the one you just measured.
Very poor. I did not like like it. It could not recognise the dimensions for a room with more than 4 walls. Kept crashing
Can't use auto square like I phones have. Not useful with out it to have a better idea of the area
Difficult to use wanted to measure the window sizes so we can get the right size curtain rod but with this app you can only measure up a floor plan it's utterly useless for my needs

Not very accurate... Good for a rough estimate but you're better off with a physical tape measure
Was working great and now doesn't. Won't recognise when looking at the floor. Uninstalled, Re installed.....any ideas?
Seems to work fine for horizontal measurements outside but the vertical measurements are off...a cupboard is measuring to more than 350 feet which is ridiculous
Purchased the app in google play store and it's asking me whether you purchased in play store what the hell. I thinking this thing doesn't work in samsung note 8

Fun and relatively accurate. Great for a quick measurement.
Have not used it alot and i am not sure i am taking advantage of all it has to offer but as a realtor, so far so good.
Paid the 19.99 for the pro version. When it works it's great. When it doesn't, which is often, you look like an idiot to your customers constantly starting over because flags keep disappearing thus removing your measurements. Brilliant idea but they're definitely not working out the bugs. Ongoing problem for months. The second email was replied with the instructions to cancel subscriptions. Which I did. Not worth the twenty dollars by any means.
