Canasta

Very fun, plays just like regular canasta, with many settings to choose from. Literally, the ONLY complaint i have regards the red treys. Usually, each side draws 1 to 3 during the hand, but sometimes 3 or 4 are dealt to one side during the initial deal. I've never seen this happen in real play, but if it had, we'd designate a new shuffler. That said, I've spent many happy hours with this game, improving my skills. Please consider fixing the crazy red trey deals!

Pros: Overall the game is fast and easy to play. Clean layout. Cons: Extremely poor understanding of the actual rules. Eg going down with a pair and wildy, not being permitted to go down before it forces you to pick up. The computer on the right seems to know my cards too well. (This one may be a bit subjective).

Could have been a perfect game. The developer needs to work on the computer partner. It is abysmal. It feeds cards to the opponent, throws away partner's cards and appears to be programmed to go out. Please fix this. I made the changes you suggested however the computer continues to play simply to go out. I feel like I have 3 opponents; not 2.

Little lopsided but playable, no ads to hassle you. Just canasta. But the computer player seems to know what you have. Which is fine, if you know how to play. Took me a while to get back up to speed.

Great game, I love Canasta. Easy set up to your preferences. 4 stars and its a personal issue that I don't like. The banner up top of the screen that covers my partners cards up. Other than that, I literally do not have any complaints. The stats are a little confusing. Other than that, Great Job!!

While your graphics are good and it's smooth control I can't find any glitches as far as the technical part of the game. However I've grown weary of playing it because the balance of wins against the computers is totally unfair. I would say eight times out of 10 the computer opponents get to pick up the stack they get most of the black threes and they go out quickly. If by chance I get in the lead, then all of a sudden I get no wildcards and making mailed is virtually impossible so I'm moving on

I still play this game despite the fact that the computer partner is programmed to do one thing, and that is to go out. No. Matter. What. So it can be frustrating when your partner throws away cards you are building a canasta for and frequently give away a frozen deck. Cursed thing! When I play, I view it as playing against three others and it is nice when your partner is actually helpful.

There's something about the way the deck is programmed that favors computer opponents enormously. It's honestly ridiculous. It doesn't matter if you have them on a low meld speed and a one star setting - the second you freeze the deck, they pull out a surprise canasta and go out in the same turn. Which is nothing to say of the four red threes they were dealt before I even took my first turn. I recommend it to anyone who loves a challenge and/or tiptoeing the line between sanity and madness.

One HUGE Flaw. When playing online a player is allowed to pick up the pile, look through it and put it back! That completely ruins it for the strategic player. I may play 2 black threes, then a card that the other player wants, knowing he can't go out with those 2 black threes. But wait! He picks it up, looks through it and puts it back. Part of any card game strategy is remembering what cards have been played. Eight games in ten someone does this. They are literally allowed to cheat.

The four player option is MADDENING! No matter what skill level you set your partner to, they will make ridiculous errors. And if you set your opponent team's level to anything over three, prepare to never win a single game. It is also statistically impossible for your opponent team to get all four red threes in every other deal, but they'll beat the odds! I'm a glutton for punishment so I keep playing but I've wanted to throw my phone in frustration many a time.

I agree with some of the other poor reviews, it is not realistic. I have been playing for years and I have never seen my opponent go out with a canasta within 5 rounds so frequently, its statistically impossible. NOTE I have only tried the 2 player game. I have had other canasta games and they are the opposite in that I win every hand. No one seems to have cracked a realistic Canasta game yet that really tests your strategy as a player. I would like a version that is a real challenge

Awesome Canasta Game, Addictive! This is by far the best Canasta game in the Play Store. It is customizable, fun, a challenge and addictive. You can win at least a reasonable amount of hands, thus, games. It can be just as frustrating as face-to-face play, in that you can be waiting for that certain card to be dealt, only to have it snatched away at the last minute by your opponent. Or, you finally get meld, and your opponent goes out before you can lay down. No ads!

The game is good, so far as the layout, pace, options etc., but I doubt the intelligence of my AI partner (even on level 5), it's a good job they are "artificial" or we'd be having words. The opposition seem to get a lot of aces, jokers and red threes. If you can live with losing then go for it!

The game seems to be setup against the player. The deal appears to be stacked in favor of the opposing team. Your assigned partner picks up a pile then holds on to the cards. They will also hold black threes and give the pile to your opponent. I have tired to adjust the star ratings, reset my stats many times and nothing seems to work. I love canasta, but very disappointed in the games coding.

I've playing this app for over a year and loved it! Just played it last night, woke up this morning and it's now saying my device isn't compatible. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times and the same thing. What is the problem? If this didn't happen, I'd have rated a 5! ****EDIT**** I reached out via email and was really impressed that they got back to me ASAP! I am able to play however, the chat capabilities are not working.

Simple game that does what it promises! There's some amount of customization you can do to the cards or backgrounds, rules for creating canastas, such as point values to create first Canasta etc. My favorite customizable is playing against the computer. You can choose what level you want your opponents to be and your partner's level. (I have not tried playing online). Great for beginners or pros! I've played this game for several years. I LOVE IT! Check out their other card games too!

I love playing the game and the online version allows to play with others. My only real gripe, is that the dealer algorithm can be frustratingly unfair at times with the cards you get dealt. It seems to go in cycles where you have cards which make it impossible to win, to cards that are simply amazing. Maybe that is just canasta, but it can be quite disappointing when it happens many times in a row

Clean, but game with computers is not great. Same routine nearly every hand. The way and timing computers get melds and canastas is unreal. Also holds hand and works for them most times. Played 30 years, so not a rookie. Takes the fun out if predicable and suspect. I've changed skills all over for opponent and partner, but same. Developer responds to everyone saying the don't set deal, but we all say same thing, so there's that. Reply is passive aggressive and never said I lose. Hear customers

Dislike the Computer players and the way they can never discard a card that is in your hand ... stupid and very frustrating to play against as they always pick pile and picking up the pile leads to winning

Really fun and fast!!! Can be as hard or easy as you want....soon you will learn the strategy of this game and risk more and more. Great fun!!!

Do NOT cheat us players. I set the game for 2 canasta for going out. You allowed the opponents to go out with one. No no no if it keeps happening I will find another game.

Despite my partner being 5 star, plays like a complete beginner. Half the rounds my partner never plays a single card even though we could have had multiple canastas. On top of that, throws the cards needed for the opponents to get natural canastas. The AI is clearly different between your partner and your opponents. Fun game, but it feels like you're playing alone against a team of 2, because you generally are.

Love this game just wish it played more like most humans played, not a computer do. Another words I'd like to see it try to adapt to the way I play, then it would be perfect. Guess I could play it online but I like to play with the computer I don't want to argue with somebody. To replay I already have adjusted the Stars, still not the same. But I will continue to play, can't get anyone to play it at home.
