Canasta
Canasta, and its variations, appeals to card players of all skill levels. The gameplay is fast and is full of exciting twists. The rules are intricate but not difficult to follow. Infact, the accuracy of play demanded by the rules adds drama to the game.
Canasta in spanish means "Basket".
The principal objective of canasta is to form melds
- combinations of three or more cards of the same rank
- with or without the help of wild cards. (Sequences are not valid melds).
Canasta is a card game of the rummy family of games believed to be a variant of 500 Rum. Although many variations exist for two, three, five or six players, it is most commonly played by four in two partnerships with two standard decks of cards. Players attempt to make melds of seven cards of the same rank and "go out" by playing all cards in their hand.
Canasta for two players is the same as four-handed Canasta, in a two player game, each player plays for himself.
Canasta uses two complete decks of 52 playing cards (French Deck) plus the four Jokers. All the Jokers and twos are wild cards.
The initial dealer in canasta is chosen by any common method, although it should be remembered that there is no privilege or advantage to being the dealer. The dealer shuffles the pack, the player to the dealer's right cuts, and the dealer deals out 2 hands of 11 cards to each player.The remaining cards are left in a stack in the center of the table.
The player to the dealer's left has the first turn, and play then proceeds clockwise. A turn begins either by drawing the first card from the stock into the player's hand or by picking up the entire discard pile. If the card drawn from the stock is a red three, the player must play it immediately and draw another card.
A player "goes out" when no cards are left after a meld or discard. A player is not permitted to go out, however, unless there's at least one canasta.In the game of canasta a meld comprising seven or more cards, including at least four natural cards (called a "base"), is a canasta. The side that first reaches a total of 5,000 wins a game.

Canasta is my favourite game. This is more fun with this app than playing with my friends! Whenever I stop and sit down it's great to just pull put the game! I really like it so much! Thank you to the person who made this app. It is very nice and easy to use!
Allows opponent to pick up a crossed pack based on tabled cards not a pair in hand. Poor rule implementation. I couldn't play 4 handed.
I have tried and tried this game and it has yet let me finish one. It freezes up rather than finishing the game.
their is a clitch in this game when the computer puts a 2 to block the pile with just the 2 and he pick a card on the pack and can't continue.

The proper rules do not apply, it's a cheaters game, when the pileis frozen you need a pair to pick up, but in this game that doesnt apply, this game app sux

Could not discard
I could have loved this game, but it Won't let me play cards to make melds. Very frustrating. .
The problem is when the computer has only one card and it hits himself then discard his last cars. He will pick up a card the next round and then freeze the whole game because he can't discard his card. Please fix this.
Someone needs to learn how to play the game before creating an app that can't play either. Disgusting.
Wont let me add to my melds when I have cards in hand, prevents me from getting a Canasta, and without it, I can never go out... unless the AI finally and go out and im stuck with several Canastas in hand. BS. Uninstalling.

This game glitches red threes in the game and I picked up the discard pile and it gave all the cards to the ai!

Bugs: Freezes when all cards have been selected. Freezes when AI has 1 card left , no canasta, picks up card from pile, plays it, discards last card which is not allowed. Would be nice to include instructions.

Your app constantly freezes when the opponent has one card left. And it is not setting aside red 3's. I have screenshots for both issues. Please fix this.
