Canasta Free

I enjoy the game. However, l don't enjoy it when there are only 3 or 4 cards left in the Deck and my partner doesn't play it's Wildcards; even when it could make an extra Canasta or use it on the Pile to stop the Opponent from taking the Pile. This is when l know for a fact it has one because of the previous Blocked Pile it picked up with one or two Wildcards. That is very discouraging!!! And, many times could use a Wildcard to make an early Canasta because then l might could Go Out.

This is a good app. Good looking graphics. It would be very helpful to undo cards played during a turn, since mistakes happen when tapping on the little cards. The players should ask partner, "is it ok if I go out now?" before doing so. I understand the need for ads, but the full screen ad doesn't give you a chance to review the cards. Anyone who thinks the expert level "cheats," needs to improve their own game playing.

Two complaints about the app: At the end of the hand when either I go out or the hand ends when no one goes out (out of cards from the draw pile) I would like to see my opponent's hand & what they had, the app doesn't show that & many other apps do. I think it would add an extra dimension to the game. Also, if there is an option to buy thr game to remove ALL ads, I can't find it. If it's there it's not easily found.

Played this for a long time and loved it until their ads changed... now the ads are too large for the screen so the "x" to close the ad or the "close" button on the ad are not visible after the timer so the screen is just stuck on the ad! I've tried closing the game and re-opening it, starting a new game and nothing works. It's happened enough times now that I'm uninstalling it and trying one of the other ones. It's really too bad because this was the best one.

Nice game overall. Wish it had an undo button and an ability to see the opponent's cards at the end of the game. Otherwise I'm enjoying it. UPDATE: Game has gotten ridiculously easy especially since I have always kept it on Expert. It used to be a challenge at times now it's as if it wants me to win. I will be uninstalling soon if it doesn't become more challenging again.

This is a great app for playing Canasta. Features include: picking how many Canastas before going out, how many cards are delt, designs of card backs, how many players in a game, beginner, intermediate or expert status, very few ads. Drawbacks are: if the app is used on a phone, the ads are on the top & covers your opponent's cards. So you really have to pay attention to how many cards they are holding. There's no "back" option if you didn't mean to make that move, you are stuck. Love it!!

This is a good canasta game with only minor dislikes. The game follows the rules of canasta. When you have a lot of cards in the hand, they are so close together that it is difficult to select one. The hand can be expanded up to 5 rows making it easier to see the cards in your hand. When the deck is frozen in intermediate mode, the bot players rarely play a card that I have melded to block me from picking up the discard pile. They do more blocking plays in expert mode.

As for the controls it wasnt clear at first, but after watching a Video I understood that you have to tap thing in appropriate sequence. I would like to see Hand in Foot as an optional play setting and it would be extremely helpful to develop a way to make it easier to select individual cards when constructing molds, it gets tedious to select and deselect the wrong card. I love canasta, especially hand in foot version so few people play it let alone heard of it here where I live. Good app 4.8

the beginners and intermediate games, are programmed so that you always win. There is no challenge. However, the expert game is a cheat game. in all levels, gameplay is predictable. There is no randomizeation in this game . which is the only thing that makes gameplay fair. Until this game is improved, it is permanently uninstalled from my device.

I like the game overall, but when you're on expert level, the computer opponent is dealt hands that allow them to go out within the first 3 moves, though you will never be dealt the same kind of hand. Takes the fun out of playing when it's an unfair game rigged to allow the opponent the upper hand nearly every round.

The ads are not overwhelming or constant. The gameplay seems to work well, I'm getting hooked on this game! I'm a beginner to Canasta but I've been winning more than half of the time (with 4 players), so Expert level isn't too hard. 2 players on Expert is much harder for me to win (I lose most games).

This game is one of my all time favorites. The game play is fine But, it lacks some things like being able to choose a theme. The ad/banner that covers your opponents cards at the top of the screen it is very annoying, it never goes away. Other than that it's a good game and I enjoy playing I just wish they would spruce it up and make the banner closeable.

Ads pop up after every hand and can't be quickly stopped. The close button shifts on every ad so you really have to visually scan it. There are too many ads and they're annoying. Especially since some of them have loud audio and if you haven't turned your sound off in advance they just blare unexpectedly in a waiting room, Cafe, train carriage etc.

I enjoy this game enormously. My partner frustrates me a lot, but then I am not a greatly talented player myself. I used to see a cycling in wins and losses. Seemed like at certain times of day I always lost, or always won, with cards dealt from the beginning never giving any edge at all, with deals being single cards always, simply broadening the scope rather than consolidaing and creating runs or groups. Lately that seems to have improved.

I've just learned to play this game and I really like it. The app is easy to understand with decent graphics. I mean, it's a card game lol It does seem rather easy to win. My 1st game was auto set to expert and I won, so yeah, not super challenging, but it's ok, I like to win:)

What could be a good version of canasta is spoiled by the worst computer players I have ever seen. They play completely for themselves, keeping melds in hand instead of playing them so their partner can add. I tried to change the setting only to find it was already on expert. Deleted this app out of frustration

You constantly want to search for another partner, but you can't you are playing with the computer as a partner. The computer is an idiot in the hand before last I know it could have made a red canasta, but instead let the other players go out on us. Then the next round I was playing so it could get the deck and it did lol, but then it went out with me holding a joker and two 2's instead of giving me a chance to play them. Like I said it may be a computer, but it is an idiot!

Playing 2 person against the computer and ever other round the computer goes out with full constant on hand 3 or 4 it's just not possible and makes the game not fun. I'm delting and trying a different app.

Great fun and well-executed. The only impovement I'd suggest is the timing of the ads. The scorecard for each hand flicks up momentarily then ads appear. It would seem better to display the scorecard fully, then display the ads once the player presses the continue button.

It's fun, but feel there is something amiss in the 2 player game; never in live games has an opponent regularly got canastas in their hand and gone out when melding them. Also sense the app hand is affected by what the player has in their hand.

Very good, like randomization of deck, but lacks ability to check with partner before going out (particularly AI partner). Other games seem stacked against you when you get ahead a lot. Occasional AI plays don't make sense (e.g., opponent giving up cards one obviously wants.

I am trying this game again after uninstalling it after frustration. At times very cut throat so don't expect a fun volley. I wish my partner would ask if ok to go out like another canasta app I played. Playing a few online games it's interesting how the AI of the game decides plays, like they know your hand.

I feel this game has the advantage and "cheats" as the cards don't appear to be random enough. I've played this game many, many times and many times the computer has gone out in just a few hands but my team was never dealt that type of hand in all my play. It also seemed the computer knew what I held and conveniently had cards I never needed. I've switched to another Canasta game and the randomness of cards is already better and I feel like I'm not being cheated.

Very nice app. Easy small installation with ads that is not bothering you much. The only down side is that competition is not very stiff when playing 2 players, while playing 4 players your partner doesn't cooperate very well. Other wise it is a great app. Love it!

This game cheats: it ALWAYS knows what cards I have. Of course Im gonna lose 80% of the time! Its like I have all my cards face up for the opponent to see in every game! Why'd the developer even waste time giving players the illusion of skill levels: "beginner","intermediate", and "professional" It makes no difference at all! What did I expect from a free game right!... If this game where a t.v. show NOBODY would put up with the ADS knowing the game cheats and you lose most of the time!!

I wonder just how random the dealing is, as there can be games where I get nothing and no wildcards, while the other players are able to lay 3 or 4 of something straight from the deal and get all four red 3s, also it often seems like your partner is actively working against you to try and help the other team win by throwing away the most idiotic cards possible giving the other pair the deck, I often just play as if I am alone and I don't have a partner, as its easier that way.
