Why are there not 0 stars option? Using a Barklimiter 2. I have clarified the problem, through much trial and error, and have discovered that the app is not fully compatible with android 9. When in smart mode, I can change the bark number, and stimulation level, however I cannot readily turn the 3 on and off - tone, vibration and stimulation. If I flick between smart mode and the other modes, and then change on/off, it will sometimes transfer to the device. Garmin need to put a fix on the app to work with Android 9. I do not want to buy a new phone and cannot upgrade to Android 10,
While I thought it was going to be a good idea, the app will rarely connect with the collar. I've done all the airplane mode, checked bluetooth, turned everything off and on, and even deleted and reinstalled the app. It's been an issue from day 1. I know it can connect, because it has, but rarely.
This app hasn't worked for weeks now. I can't use it to train my dog, add additional tags, etc. I can't even log into it anymore. The little dog just keeps running. When it does decide to let me enter my login info, it tells me that the server can't be reached. Again, this has been happening for weeks now. Very disappointed. This particular device wasn't cheap. I also bought a hardware remote that I can't even pair without the app working! I'm at a total loss with this thing.
this is more a request/thought then review. it would be good to be able to have a schedule on the app for times of day, that is user settable by day and time, that allows for a time when the device is set to correct/not correct the dog and even the ability to auto adjust settings/ intensity depending on schedule. TIA if you can add. without schedule this effects how I can utilise collar, I have to take collar on and off or be constantly adjusting settings.
The hardware is ok but the software/App lets this product down. There is no way to limit the rise it just goes up to 10. You should be able to limit it for smaller dogs. There is also no way of testing it to see if the setting is too much. My dog got to level 10, I have never hared him cry out like that before it was terrible. The support does contact you back and you can not add more phones to the family it just doesn't work. For the costs, this is extremely expensive for the price I expected more.
This app doesn't work. I purchased a Barklimiter 2 and after the initial setup the app simply stops communicating with the collar. I thought the collar was defective and replaced it, however, same thing happened with the new collar. I am forced to return the collar since I am not able to sync the data.
Can never get the collar to pair. Update: After re reading the help instructions online I finally stumbled upon clear direction on how to pair the collar and it finally works. I wish the instructions that came with the collar were more clear on how to pair it to the app. It sure would've saved some frustration.
Absolutely rubbish app. Bought the dog training device from Hunting and Fishing in NZ and it's never worked properly. Extremely unreliable. Ive saved 2 problem dogs from being put down and I can't use this with them. It wont connect. If it does, it disconnects right at the moment that you need it.
The app only synchronised once when it was first set up. Every other time when I want to access my dog's data, the activity feed will never refresh, meaning I cannot find out his barking habits or what has been corrected. Unusable app, making the collar essentially useless.
How the hell do you get the collar to sync to the app? Says to hold button until it turns blue. Did it numerous times and have yet to see a blue light. Dont buy unless they fix it, because being able to adjust and view settings is the reason you buy this collar.
Used to really enjoy the smarter way to set up this collar. Bark limiter 2 (on Samsung S10 note+). Note it's no longer syncing, I have to uninstall and reinstall each and every time, then login in and set up the collar. Really disappointed considering it's soused to be one of the best in the market...
I was initially pleased with this collar. I bought it a few months ago. The past few weeks though, I can't connect to the collar. I've tried resetting the app, I've tried uninstall, and reinstall, but nothing seems to be working. I had very high hopes for this unit, as it wasn't cheap, but I'm slowly becoming more and more disappointed, to the point I'm considering returning the whole unit and going back to using 3 collars like I was before. Please do better Garmin. Update this app.
I could never get the app to work with a Turbo Droid (could not sync) even though the OS and Bluetooth versions were well above recommended. Probably gonna send Bark Limiter 2 collars back for exchange to non-"Smartphone" versions!
this device does not work. the instructions are incredibly difficult to follow and even when you do follow them, the device fails to make corrections except st completely random times. this was a COMPLETE waste of money.
I got this app to moniter my dogs behaviors and be able to constantly change and udjust the course of action to respond to her behavior. I was VERY excited. Now im just really FRUSTRATED! It takes FOREVER for the "activity" showing her behaviors to load. Ive waited up to 10 minutes and it still didnt load. Very disapointed.
Does not work at all on note 9 - constant server and connection errors. Multiple installs clearing cache and even a new phone ( s9 ). Going to have to return the collar as it cannot work in this broken state.
Although we love the device itself, it works great for our two dogs so far, this app will not work on my Samsung Galaxy S7. It tells me it cannot connect to the server, and sits in its "thinking" screen.
Apparently I dont have the latest version and they dont provided it. Which makes no since as I just download the program but it's not the latest version? This is a joke. $192 I paid for this junk. Not to mention it couldnt include a collar, back to the store it goes.
Really don't like this app which is making me think.about returning the collar. Constantly fails where I can't connect the collar and change the settings so it's not working on the dog properly. This app needs to be updated. I would not recommend this or any of the collars that work with it to anyone
App does not work on a Samsung device, even with all the proper updates. Works great with an iPhone. Really need to make an app that can work across all platforms.
App is useless cannot get it to retrieve bark activity after resetting & re-syncing changes collar settings without an issue. Great collar pity about the app..please develop the app so it works with samsung phones..
This is disappointing. The app and barklimiter2 struggles to connect. Very frustrating to use this product. DOES NOT WORK WITH SAMSUNG SMARTPHONE.
got this as The Garmin brand has a good reputation. Downloaded the app but cant connect to the collar. Uninstalled and reinstalled ap stil not able to connect. Think we wasted good money on a product that is inefficient
The app won't update the firmware on Android, however you can connect the device to a PC and update through Garmin Express. Problem solved!
hey garmin. update your damn app. its been almost a year since you last did. i had to set up my 2vt on an iphone bc it needed a firmware update. my Android phone couldn't even connect, just incessant beeping.
This is useless! I purchased barklimiter 2, requires app to be beneficial for dog training, guess what this thing doesn't work with note 9 or 20 or galaxy s10+.. I bought the collar for nothing.. requiredls update there is no update.. in the app it says last update was 2018 what kinda bull crop is that! Waste of my time
not sure if the app is junk or the collar is. I bought the bark limiter and my dog was barking as much as always. tried to check how often she was barking and wasnt allowed to pair. cant wait to return the item if i cant at the very least see how it was working.
I really liked the Smart Delta and this app until it stopped working. I have a Samsung S9+ and it has stopped working within the last 1.5 months. It will sync to the device, but as it is setting up the device, I get a notification that a problem occured and to try again. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app hasn't worked either. I would love for this to work, but am very disappointed right now. Edit: my friends iphone has no issue with connecting and setting up, so it's a non-apple issue.
