I love the idea, and my initial impression was Great! The access to the manuals, the maintenance schedules. All a great idea. But then I went to go use it. Talk about unstable and illogical. I have two cannondale bikes. One has a sensor, the other not. The app initially had them correctly assigned. The next time, the app had swapped the sensor to the other bike. Then when I tried to remove the sensor association with the wrong bike I had to delete the bike in the garage. Then more problems....
Seemed like it would be great, but it was dissapointing. Pairing with the sensor was fairly easy, but then the app just didn't function very well. It kept telling me there was no internet connection, even when I was on wifi. It did not save my ride data. Then it started giving my endless notices about reaching goals that I was not even reaching. I used the thing once for an 8 mile ride, but it was sending me notice after notice about meeting mileage achievements. Very dissapointing.
Love Cannondale! But the ball was dropped, kicked, picked up, and thrown from a mountain here. Please do not waste your money. The sensor was a headache to install even with all the adapters, and the thing just does not work consistently no matter what I do. I didn't get data for a month, then one day it just started working, now its gone again. The app itself does not let me enter my weight or height.
The newest version of the app seems to have gone a bit backwards. The latest version does not prevent the screen from going dark and locking so I must keep unlocking my phone to see the active ride data, this is very unsafe. Following the update, the ride must now be started and stopped manually as opposed to detecting motion of the wheel sensor.
This application is great but it drains my phone battery before most rides are done. I like the idea of it, but much of it is redundant if a person has a smart watch. I'd prefer to have something much more simple that does not kill my phone. I want to see the speed and distance, so basically if I want to go on a 30 mile ride I need to buy a separate device to give me instant feed back?
Update below ....App worked for the first few times i used it. Not sure what happened but now, i open the app, the black cannondale splash screen comes up. Then one of two things happens. 1. It just closes. 2. I get a little message box stating that the app is not reaponding with three options. LG8XthinQ update: thank you cannondale for quick response. App is working good now.
The app seems to work well for me. Had a bug where I cannot had my weight and height. Would suggest having some sort of a black theme for the ride display that would save tons of battery with the phone while riding and it would look really clean. Would be really nice to integrate option to put Gmap in and other infos. Lots of potential.
When it works its great, how ever, most of my experience has just been running into problems. The rider weight feature will always read the wieght you give it in pounds even when it asks for kilograms giving horribly incorrect suspension settings, the app crashes when backing out of some pages and I am currently unable to log in to my account. I've also had issues with my rides being recorded but those kilometers and times not showing on the bike. So over all great idea, bad application.
Good idea but poor execution. The display of time and distance is nice while riding and usually does start automatically, but the app fails to save the ride. Additionally the ability to connect with my Garmin account is still broken on Galaxy S9. Luckily the wheel sensor pairs with my Garmin watch and app. If you don't have a GPS watch then i would suggest downloading Strava, syncing the sensor and using it instead.
Using the sensor. Allowed all permissions, allowed gps etc and it will not map my rides. It did at the beginning and after three or four rides it decided to no longer do it. I've tried changing things up, I mounted it and keep the app open, I've reinstalled and have had zero improvement. The only thing that kept me using it was seeing my reduction in carbon footprint data and that's not enough to keep me using the app. 1/10
Instant uninstall and very disappointing. I just recently got back into biking and picked up a Treadwell 2. This bike is targeted at my demographic (millennial) with infographics showcasing "connected". This is obviously a marketing tactic and at most an afterthought after reviewing this companion application. The main concern and ultimate reason for this negative review is the fact the app can not be stopped. It requires a force stop and has multiple memory leaking issues. Skip it.
New sensor provided, works well, could have more detailed ride data.Edit: Sensor may be defective. Cannondale customer service great in troubleshooting and sending a new sensor. Wheel sensor came with new bike purchase a few weeks ago, so far a disappointment. Synced once, then had to change battery. Doesn't register active rides or load older data from wheel sensor. Data updated once after battery change, then stopped syncing altogether. Have added/remove app and resynced sensor multiple times.
This app has been a continual problem since I purchased my Treadwell. Lately I can't even use it because it keeps dropping the connection to the sensor mid-ride. And if I stop to wait for a traffic light the whole ride to that point is lost. Don't know why you put they fancy dashboard in the app. It's pointless. Now it says the serial number of my bike is no good. I can pair the sensor but it can't attach to the bike. I've gone thru all the usual remedies. Going back to Map My Ride.
For the most part the app is good. I wish I knew if the calories burned was accurate there's always a big variation between that and Google fit. Biggest issue is the app needs a dark mode. Really frustrating having it so bright when you're riding at night.
First the app won't sync with the sensor. We changed battery at the store. Sensor blink a green light. Under my bluetooth devices I can see a Spd... device. The app still won't connect also doesn't allows me to enter my mesurments. I'm using lg k30 not sire if the app doesn't support it.
Bike trips also show up on Google maps. Identified by a different colored route line.
Good sync with bike and manuals. But some screens leave you stuck - no back button. For example on the settings screen. I have to quit the app and restart. This is the only way back to main screen. Weird. Must be a beta thing.
