The app is touted as more settings for the headphones but it's just a player for the music stored on the phone, of which I have none. Every phone comes with its own music player anyway and most people stream music so this app really is a poor replacement for an app no-one uses anyway. It's hard to think of a worse waste of money than the development of this app. It is claimed to provide something I need, which it does not, instead providing something for which there is absolutely no need at all for anyone.
The app crashes *very* frequently, causing it to eat through the battery of the phone at seemingly random times. The app also displays the battery level of my paired headphones (Sennheiser PXC 550) incorrectly. The equaliser of the app only works for local files, and music through the Tidal music service, and not through services such as Spotify. I see little to no use for this app other than to set up your own FX profile, but even that is limited since you cannot use the EQ. Other than
i downloaded it to get the battery status and manually control the headphone through my smartphone which it claims to do but it's not visible at all. it's just showing the color theme option. Other functionality is already available in my default music player. If it's issue, hope it will be resolved soon. otherwise it's of no use.
It's ok, but needs much more improvement. Navigation using the back key on the phone restores right to the main interface which means it doesn't go through the music file selection levels. The app crashes a fair amount. Minimising the app sometimes turns it off. Sometimes the music becomes very broken with loss of sound. Indexing is alphabetical and highly annoying for albums. On the plus side, great equaliser functions. Not Sennheiser quality I'm afraid and needs work.
Absolutely love the abilities to set equalizer and sound profiles to sound really good not only for the Sennheiser headphone but others too. Few problems are some music just keep getting hick-up (like waiting for data to load) about 8 or more times for a song. And the app responses to changing songs very slow. Takes up to 10 seconds to switch song when you tap on a song. Basically, this app is very slow to touch response which causes confusing when I try to tap on the headphone touchpad.
It's been 3 years now using this app for my music and I like it very much. Unfortunately I've noticed some things that I see as flaws so that is why for the 3 stars. The player is slower compared to other players in accessing music and folders. It also does not provide support for android auto and "what are you listening" on always on display or unlock screen. The fact the app is not updated since Sep 18 is not very reassuring for any improvement, development or even support for android.
The latest update seems to have some bugs regarding audio playback. 1. The audio switches to phone speaker when BT disconnect. In the past (and the norm in UX) is that the playback is stopped by default. Really annoying. 2. The app status in notification area (the controls) seems to not match actual status (already playing while it displays playback button) or stopped and display stop button. 3. Noticed today it seems to keep playing music in background when on BT or wired. Noticed on multiple devices that I have. Please fix!
This app is entirely pointless. I have a set of HD 4.50 BTNC headphones - this doesn't let me view the battery level, or adjust any settings. The only thing specific to the headphones I can choose is the colour theme of the app, which is linked to the connected device for some reason. This app is effectively just an audio player, but there are lots of better audio players out there.
The EQ is phenomenal but that's the only redeeming factor for this garbage app. the UI is horrendous, it's missing essential features like crossfading, and pausing doesn't work. Worst music player I've ever seen. Which is unfortunate because the headphones are fantastic. This app feels like a poorly designed afterthought rather than a specialized music player.
This is the finest music app I ever fond, I am not familiar with usual equaliser, but, in this app because of its esay user interface, I also can adjust as I like, and we can play audio files directly from memory, that is also good. I like its appearance as wel,l because it looks neat and fine finished app, I got all the features I need, with as possible as lowest options, for me this is an ultimate music app. With the Sennheiser audio device it playes sounds, on next level.
No support for music other than local, tidal, and plex. Most people dont use locally stored music on their devices and instead use streaming services. This app only allows you to adjust the equalizer for music played through the app. But you don't have access to Google Play Music, Spotify, Youtube, nor YouTube Music apps. This app is a total waste.
Just a multimedia player, nothing more. I was hoping for battery life and microphone testing, but nope, it only looks for local playable media files and allows for TIDAL users a sign in. There's a "remote server" connection that allows for searching...of what, I'm unsure of since I couldn't locate spotify, google music, last.fm, or anything else. Uninstalling.
Kinda pointless as any EQ you set only works for music stored locally on your device and played through this app. Needs to be usable across the entirephone, or stored to the headphones themselves. Just like how I can store profiles to my computer mouse and use it on different computers without having to download the manufacturers software on each one. ,
Don't see the point I was hoping for something that let's me manage my Sennheiser headphones, I don't need one more music player. Having grown up with hi-fi systems with equalizers, the behavior of attenuation the other frequencies when boosting a certain band is super weird.... Just put everything to the max if this is what is in effect... Anyways, installed it, tested it, removed it.
Feels really limited only allowing tidal. I would love a bit more integration with music services like Google play music and Spotify. As for the actual app, it seems like its just an equaliser... It doesn't actually change how the headphones preform, it just sends different audio in the same way that spotifys equaliser works. Pretty disappointing from such a great company
Wha is this app trying to be? It's not a music app because there is no Album view or next album UI... and the EQ presets are all removing the mids and boosting the low or high ends to varying degrees... effectively saying that your £400 premium cans are way out of balance out of the box... For a company that prides itself on sound quality, not having a decent music app to play your music with linked cans is a massive lost opportunity... Current apps are only an afterthought and a waste.
Worst UI I have ever seen. I can't find the features I need (if they exist at all) like reseting the headphones or managing the devices it's paired with. The headphones might be good but I can't tell with an app this outdated. It's not even supported anymore ( last update is from 2018). Bit of advice: if you're planning on investing in a pair of headphones, check out their associated app before committing, it'll save you a lot of grief. Very desapointing for such a high profile picture brand.
