Useful, but I gave four stars till lease option will be added, but for financing this is the best app on the store, just needs to remember some options like fees and registration and tax rate.
The reason this is 3 instead of 5 is because the down payment and trade are in the same box. In WA we only tax on the difference between trade and price. I would like to be able to separate those two. Let's say someone is trading in a $2000 and has $1000 down, they still get taxed on the $1000 but in the app it includes those two together and then either taxes the whole thing or taxes neither. If this could be remedied I would rate 5 stars.
Seems to work fine on this tablet. I haven't done a comparison against anything similar but it does seem to work as it claims. Nice app. & I thank the developer for providing it to us for free. At least you won't be walking into the dealership ignorant & an easy mark for some fast talking carpet bagger. LOL !
Works great, wish it wouldn't clear data when moving through screens etc. Also really needs to have a payoff amount for trade in. There for the proper equity or in equity can applied to the loan. Even though it lacks the start date, and time to first payment that's not a huge issues in estimating. All in all thanks for a great app!
Needs an ability for a negative number in the a Trade In field. Need a separate field for rebate value. Rebates must be taxed before used as down. Needs field s for Tire fee. License Fee. BTW might be nice if the license was pulled from the public license and weight fees calculator on the DMVs web site. Field for weight fees. Processing fee. Documentation fee. And added Equipment
Lately its not been working and is bring force closed on GNex 4.2.2. Uninstalling and reinstalling is saying "insufficient storage", though I have 6Gb storage and 110MB RAM available. Please fix this great app.UPDATE: App works fine now.
Down Payment and Trade-In are lumped together in one input box. If you live in a state that allows the dealer to subtract the trade-in value before calculating the sales tax (as per the option in the app at the bottom) then the monthly payment calculation is wrong. I think it subtracts both down payment and trade together and treats it as the trade-in value. Therefore, the sales tax comes out too low. Therefore, the monthly payments also come out too low. I was at the dealer buying a car and was auguring that he didn't calculate the payment correctly. Turns out he was right and this app was wrong. I think it would be a nice upgrade if you break out down-payment and trade-in value into two input boxes so that the calculations can come out correct for states that allow subtracting trade-in value before calculating sales tax. Otherwise, fantastic app.
I used it while purchasing a car recently. The salesmen tried to confuse me with his calculations but had to make his numbers match mine. Easy to use. I was as fast as the salesman and sometimes even faster.
I haven't even tried the app yet, but being one of the few apps that require no permissions to your phone... props to the developers
Love it. Helps me hv an idea of how much car my can afford by just messing with this app and what i love most is the gas savings option. I can show my customers exactly what they are saving a month in gas to help justify the pymt going up on the new car.
My wife and I used this app to buy a car this weekend. We were able save thousands of dollars by using this app. Of course the fact that we were willing to walk out on the deal helped a lot too.
This was what I needed when I bought my car. It helped me calculate as the negotiationsunfolded, giving me confidence in the outcomes and piece of mind.
Does what it says. You can probably use it to calculate financing on other things too e.g. Trailer So now you can see how much a new car will cost you and whether you can afford it or not. Simple and effective
Simple and intuitive to use. Only thing that would make it better is if they would break down the tax portion in more detail.
A new car is now easier to do w this app... u can give ur self a quote nd c what ur monthly payment will be! U can even c how much its gonna cost u fr gas, how cool is that!! Now u can get an idea if ur able to afford the brand new car!

Works great. Simple to use and great tool to "run the numbers." Give 4 not 5 because trade and down payment should be entered separately.
