Once happy with the basic report you can purchase the full report. Standard price is £7.99. This report provides you with all the vital information you need when buying or selling a vehicle. This report will tell you if the vehicle:
- has outstanding finance
- has been recorded by the police as stolen
- has been declared an insurance write off
- has been written off by an insurer after being stolen and not recovered
- is at risk of being sold illegally (on the security watch register)
- has been inspected following insurance damage
- has had a plate transfer

BEWARE! If this app is supposed to stop you getting ripped off with a dodgy vehicle then do beware as I paid for a full report through this app and got NOTHING! It's supposed to download the report to your smartphone via the app and also to your email address and it didn't do either. Sent an email and still waiting so at the moment it looks as if I've been conned out of £7.99. So the app that's supposed to stop you being conned is conning you. I thought HPI was a reputable company but obviously I've been misled. Use this app for free only as buying a full report results in you being conned out of money.
doesn't do as it says on the tin unless you pay £8, funny how all the morons are raving about it being a free hpi. perhaps they need to know what a hpi consists of before commenting, yes that's aimed at you james.
We know the make we know the year and colour. Tell us some thing we dont know. As one star is to much.
Ok if you want to check the reg matches the model color make ...any more will cost you £8 and theres cheapeer ways to get that .
Have to pay to receive report and supply email which will most likely result in lots of junk mail.
Waste mea down load. A proper hpi report is cheaper than this.
Got this because it's was highly recommend. Decided to by full check. It went into loop for ages and froze my phone.
Load of poo really it only tells you stuff you should already know and then to pay 7.99 for a report is unreal

Doesn't show BHP of the car anymore, useless straight to the bin.
Theres other cheaper ways like txting "CTC" + "CAR REG" to 83600. Only £3.
How is this app any good?...! Tells you the obvious. The info you want is £8! .... Do a hpi check, cost the same! 1star awarded 4 good bs!
Only told me what I could see, the make model etc.
£7.99 FOR HPI REPORT. Only tells you the relating car's colour, engine size, make and model for free.
Bullshit all the way, do it online and.save. £4 and also. Extra reports. Please do not wast you time...

Used this two years ago and worked well, now won't download any reports. Your app sells a report, you may want to fix that!
But needs updates to fix 1. Scolling the app is non exsistent 2. Information extactly the same as Carspotter app 3. Needs more info rather than the car details 4. If u want people to pay to get more info, £7.99 is alot to ask for

Only managed to freeze my phone no information beyond what I could see looking at the car. Very disappointing
It gives basic information and asks for money. So its not free. But even after paying money you are not sure whether you'll get report.
Not a hpi check at all. Just tells u what car shud be on that reg. Then asks for 8quid for a full report....mmmm no thanx
Con worse than buying a dodgy car. .. The odds are less when buying a car
For free you can search a numberplate and get basic info about the car. And to the dumbass saying do a HPI check its the same price - It is a HPI check, look at the developer. For those who want a HPI check this is just a bonus app so I think its pretty good of the company
