Card Control by Ascend
• With a simple touch in the Card Control by Ascend app you can turn your card on and off. If your card is turned off, all transactions will be declined until the card is turned on again.
• Set location-based controls that restrict transactions to merchants in proximity to your phone, to a particular region or internationally.
• Set transaction limits based on the type of merchant (e.g., gas, groceries, travel).
• Enable spending limits for other card users including children right in the Card Control by Ascend app.
• Set up alert notifications for when your card is used and the transaction exceeds your settings or when a transaction is declined.
• Use Card Control by Ascend along with the Ascend online banking app to keep tabs on all of your finances.
This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

This is a great app to control your cards. However, I mostly used it for the function of notifying me when one of the cards were used, but now that no longer works. It has probably been about 2 months or so that I have noticed this. I still use it to locks cards when I need to or set limits on them.
Took features from the main app (like deactivating your card) and made this useless second app. It already was upsetting they did that, but then my phone updated and now I can't even get into the app at all due to it saying my security is now compromised (thanks Sumsung and Ascend for being on the same page). It wants me to factory reset my phone to use it again. What??? Just put the card control back in the main app. This app is a failure.
Very limited capability with this app. You get sheets but they are not stored in the app. You should be able to review recent alerts and transactions. And you should be able to confirm or deny questionable transactions.
I have great news for all the ascend Federal credit Union control app customers that wrote a review regarding this app when the pixel 10.00 update happened and the app itself crashed it would never open. THE ASCEND FEDERAL CREDIT TECH TEAM HAS FIXED THIS ISSUE 😁 PLEASE REINSTALL IT ON YOUR PHONE IT WILL OPEN. This app is worth it!!! I love knowing I can control when my card is used.
App didn't work. Registered and put in card info. Launced app. Nothing. A few days later card declined 3 time. Called Ascend - they say they have nothing to do with "Card Control". Gave me a phone number for Card Control. Multiple calls to "Card Control" - they claim they aren't part of Ascend. Operators seem to be snowflakes and cant handle a deep WASP voice. Get all hung up in "how they percieve" you are talking to them. Nothing accomplished. Told Ascend I don't care who anyone works from - you are all "Ascend to me" and if I cant access my momney at will, I will go to another institution,
I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled and this app is still not working. I love that you can control your card(s). Please work the bugs out of this app.
Pixel 3 XL upgraded to Android 10, now even after reinstalling this app it won't even open anymore. My debit card is locked and I have no way to unlock it so I can use it.
Keeps restarting when I try to log in when the app is installed in a Samsung Secure Folder. Works great otherwise.
Worked perfectly until the update to Android 10. Now it won't work on any phone that runs the newest version.
Can't even give it 1 star honestly. I was never able to login and when I called for an explanation, I was told that you need to connect to Wi-Fi to complete the initial setup???
Can't sign in using your ascend info. You actually have to make another account. And you need your card number. This app is pointless if you have already lost your card.
I really like this app, it allows you to lock your account instantly if you need to and then restore your account without any hassle 😉
Worked for awhile now has me locked out!!! Can't use my card because of it@!
ok well iv tried 3 times to enroll with this app. I even uninstall and reinstall and it 3 tines keeps telling me we cant process at this time plz try again... 😕
This app will not let me log in at all. I have called customer service 3 times now and all they tell me is they will put my ticket in and get back with me. They have not called me back and I still can't log in and it's going on 2 months now.
It works only when it chooses to work. It does not control payments coming out other than Amazon.
Won't even launch in Android 10. Crashes immediately upon opening app.
Should you misplace your card you can deactivate the card until you find it. I really like this app for that .
Why don't you respond to people's reviews if you're going to design develop and implement an app for a financial institution at least have the professionalism to maintain and make sure that it's working properly and respond to people's comments on here especially regarding just the basic function of the app and make sure that it actually does what it says quite ridiculous actually

This app has not worked for a long time. It worked for about 3 months after initial release then the notifications stopped. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. Does not notify me of anything even though everything is set properly. I even went as far as resetting my phone then reinstalling this app. Still nothing. Is just a storage waster. Update 4/22: Got a new phone, reinstalled this app, it worked once then nothing again. Keeping at 1 star.
