Game is a lot of fun, although my one complaint is the ability cards seem to be only dealt at certain times during a hand. Like a card that would be more beneficial at the beginning of a round is almost always dealt towards the end and vice versa
My experience playing this game has been extremely pleasant. It's quite addictive. The sounds/graphics along side the brain teasing game play really make for an enjoyable time. This is a flawless concept. I have one issue and it bothers me after every match. I keep feeling like this amazing game is lacking more. It's well worthy of competing with major titles and I belive the development team could adopt some creative ideas from other majors titles that could enrich this game. Add content = 5⭐️
I bought this and Card Thief. My dude you should be charging more. These games are both fantastic. I bought them a while ago and still they're my go to games when I'm bored. I love them. EDIT: I want this to be a physical card game, lol
It's a great game! Simple, yet challenging when it comes to unlocking some features. Definitely would give it a try!
Great simple to play game. It does take focus and strategy to progress. I love it. Very addictive.
Fun. Well tuned game where luck plays enough of a role to keep you on your toes, ensures mistakes are punished and clever planning is rewarded, and provides decent replayability.
It's fun in first 5games then it get repeatedly real fast with new class is so hard to obtain and lock behide paywall. I suggest you pass this game. Trust me.
Going into this game I didn't expect it to be as good as it is. I feel fairly neutral abt card based video games but often find them dissapointingly simple. This one is very simple in design but has a surprising amount of strategy involved that increases as new cards are unlocked. Truly a great example of easy to learn but challenging to master. The game doesn't change a ton from play to play but I still find myself coming back to it anytime I have a few minutes to kill.
Its a fine short game however its repetitive and when I pushed to unlock the other modes for different gameplay I was dissapointed
Great concept of the game with a fun cartoon like aesthetic. The problem is the rules itself. There is a chance that your hand is full with only potions on the front. Because of this, the game becomes a stalemate with no other moves can be accomplished without restarting the game. Thus I can only give three stars
It's okay. Very repetitive, too easy and simple to keep my interest.
I really liked the concept, but the execution was a hard miss for me. The quests and challenges are built more around grinding than making things more entertainingly difficult. I enjoyed the base game enough to drop the money on the full version, but it quickly became apparent that there really wasn't any value add -- took less than a full day of playing intermittently during my downtime before it went from a cute, fun little time-killer to a tedious grind. I'd say the free version is worth a download if you'd like to give it a try, but I personally wouldn't recommend paying to unlock the rest
Great for when you're killing time: difficult enough to keep you occupied, and entertaining enough to keep on playing. Goals/quests are achievable with a little work, no lag on either of my Samsungs (Note 4 & Note 8), graphics are simple but stylish, sounds and music are nice and not annoying (!!!); overall this is a wonderful game, and one of the few that I've kept when switching phones. Kudos to the developers, they've put some work into this, and it shows!!
The game is a little difficult for the first few games, took me around a month to get the hang of it, but after that it becomes easier. Can play for hours without it feeling repetitive. I just don't like how so much of the game is locked off, so most of what can be played is just the normal mode, a few card unlocks, and the daily challenge. Still a great game and definitely deserves a try.
I like the game, but it's a bit repetitive. The card merchant, the other game modes and the different characters are a good idea, but they take too long to unlock (or require paying). I tried going for it but I couldn't get myself to play more than twice before uninstalling. I think some more variation (early on) would improve gameplay a lot.
Good fun so far but the game has frozen. I've restarted my phone and it's still frozen with 1 card in mid air, 2 in my deck and 1 on the top rack. If I uninstall and reinstall do I lose all my progress? I have unlocked all but 1 ability. BTW I would buy this game if it was a pack of cards. Great idea. Simple, creative, you have to make some decisions and plan ahead. Some of the abilities are not so relevant and others are overpowered but good funl
This is a great little game. The strategy is relatively simple, but it's easy to learn and can be quite addictive. As with Card Thief, the art and animations are all delightful and keep game play fresh. If you're a completionist, you will be playing for a long time to unlock every ability card, but there's no need for grinding unless you enjoy it. Got the game free with play pass but it's well worth the price.
I really wish more developers approached their games like this. There's essentially a demo and then you can pay full price for the full game if you like what you see; absolutely no pay to win. At £5 its well worth the money. If it was a real deck of cards, you'd easily spend £5 for them. It's very well designed and captures pocket gaming perfectly. I can pick up where I left off for short games or grind towards one of the achievements if I have a bit more time on my hands.
I really enjoy this game, I like that it's a game where you can buy it instead of microtransactions (I haven't been able to buy it yet but as soon as I can I plan to) and it's ad-free. The reason for the loss of the star is that when I press Daily it dims the screen like it's loading and then gets stuck. Then I can't do anything except force close the app.
One of the better card games on here. The grind to open the last mode is painful but the core gameplay is fun so it doesn't hurt so much. I appreciate that it's pay to play. Games with advertising are nice but sometimes I want to but a game and not unlock bonuses by watching ads or whatever. The developers of the game thought through the mechanics. It's simple but slight changes make a huge difference. The art is wonderful. It compliments the game very well.
Love the design. Intuitive gameplay and lovely visual aesthetic, good animation. Nice bite-size sessions, and I like that it's a one-time buy for full unlock. A little grind-y at times; found myself replaying decks that were no longer ”challenging in an interesting way” more times than I'd have liked to unlock early milestones. UI is slightly obtuse in places. Overall highly recommend.
I'll say this. It's rare I ever have a game installed on my phone for more than a week. Even rarer a mobile game will hold my interest for that long. But for about a month, maybe two, this game has had my full attention. The progress is slow, yes. But the game itself is fun, strategic, challenging, and well balanced. Tiny Touch games is one of my favorite developers. Monetization doesn't punish the player, and the unlockables end up way more rewarding than they seem initially. Highly recommended
Really fun game, although the tutorial could use a ton of work- you have to figure out the bulk on the different areas and advancement on your own. Also I'm not sure what is broken but I unlocked some quest items like being able to change the dealer, and it's not actually changing it in the game :( big de-motivation to keep playing if they can't fix the quest prize. Will update rating when the advancement goals are fixed again
An interesting take on a card game and it is a really fun way to pass the time. It's not normally extremely difficult, although I'm not super far yet, but you have to think about how you want to balance inventory, damage, and health. The artwork on the cards is well done along with the UI and sound design,. Overall it's a great little game and I strongly recommend it along with Cataclysm DDA and Wesnoth for a must have on your phone
Card Crawl is a game that on the surface is incredibly fun, but has a deeper level of strategy as you become accustomed to the flow and new cards unlocked. It can still suffer from the RNG that haunts solitaire games but it almost seems like behind the scenes that an algorithm stacks the deck in your favor to prevent bad luck streaks, a welcome mechanic if so because you can still lose playing recklessly. Can't recommend the full game enough as I've poured hours into trying to complete the deck.
It's a really fun concept but it feels more like a card game within a game, like Caravan from Fallout. It needs more modes, like a challenge mode that gets progressively more difficult. It's not as much about IF you can win as much as how much money you want to make versus risk. And since money unlocks cards that make up only 5 out of 54 cards in a deck, it's only vaguely strategic. But it's a great time-killer, it's super close to 4 stars
Mostly fun concept only really let down by unnecessary tedious grind - both to unlock things and even just playing. When you add how heavily RNG dependent the quests are, it becomes exponentially more tedious when you have to wait for self indulgent animations whenever you start a game.
