App for iOS runs much better. Slow and jittery, doesn't scan black cards, editing the print edition is clunky and doesn't always work after you change it, doesn't stage the cards in the order you scan them. Was able to do 7k plus cards on iOS with little issue in short order. The Android app is just terribly slow. I've gotten through maybe 100 cards in an hour.

A good app. I've digitized 2000 cards with it. It recognizes card art without mistakes, however card set recognizes really bad. Often, you need to fix that manually, which takes a lot of time. There is no option to select which language you're scanning now, so each card that is not English, you need to set up manually. I suggest to NOT do that, just tag all non-english cards and bulk change their language from the web later. DON'T EVEN TRY SCAN LANDS! Add search of sets, while editing, please!!!

its a great app and much better once you can do the tagging. tagging does take a while, but its worth it. it would be better if i could create a tag then select the cards that would apply under it. it would also be nice if after youve added cards to the collection, you could hit a down arrow on the quantity to reduce it, or even to increase. but once theyre added to the collection, youd have to delete all, then readd the cards again to reduce. and if you want to add, youd have to type again.

So far the card castle app and website have been amazing. The card reader is very good at getting the card, but does struggle getting the set correct. However, it is very easy to fix that after you scan. I also really appreciate that you can export your collection. Being able to create supplemental tools is a must for me, and by exporting the data I can create processes to help me out. Overall this app is incredible.

The speed and accuracy of the scans are the best of the other apps I've tried. I've only just started cataloguing and organizing, but using a web browser to group and sort my collection is pretty easy. Nice interface. I haven't tried the "premium" tools, and not really looked into what that gets me (besides more card storage), but so far the basic (free) plan is great.

Clean, easy to use. The only failed to scan cards so far have been our "unglued" and "unstable" sets, those were however easy enough to add manually via their website. It certainly has the best scanning capabilities of all the card scanners I've tried so far by a long shot, and so they've earned my subscription which was more reasonably priced than the competition as well.

It is better than the alternative options out there for cataloguing. It has had problems with scanning the cards. Some of the old dual ones like fire/ice it can't figure out at all. It does not like textures in the background at all, so wood grain tables, tile with grouting just messes it up, so use solid colors perhaps even construction paper. Black border cards prefer a white background and vice versa. Natural light has worked better than the overhead lighting in the evening.

So far just using the trial(squire level version) Very pleased with this app, scanning multiple cards at a time worked fairly well, the review process to make sure they were in the correct set was great, my main complaint was that if you did not put them in the correct set at the time you added them, there is no way to change that later on, I have a number of my unlimited/revised cards in the wrong sets now and no way to change them with out removing them and re-scanning them. The management and online web app are great, I would like to see a little more functionality in the phone app, particularly the ability to see decks that I have built.

Scanning was quick and accurate with a few exceptions. Consistent lighting in the scan area was far more important than brightness. It seems to do a good job of scanning multiple cards at once, but I found more success setting up a lift for my phone and swapping cards one at a time under the camera. The biggest inaccuracy is identifying cards edition and I'd gladly increase my rating to five stars if they improve the accuracy.

This app kept me busy for 6 hours last night cataloging (almost) all of my cards. The scanning system is shockingly accurate if you have good lighting. There are some issues with the darker art, and once every 100 cards or so you'll have to fight with it to get an accurate reading but generally it's great. My only gripes are a lack of mass tagging and how you can't make decks by adding all cards of a tag. I've really enjoyed using this so far, and will likely be subscribing to add more cards!

Ease of use: Great Card recognition: Great Developer response: Initial contact is quick and friendly. We'll see if suggestions for improvements like import directly to deck and tooltips for icons are implemented. Collection addition: The speed at which I was able to add 600 cards made me very happy. Much better than trying to type every name and find the edition, although that option still exists in the website. It may take a little work, but if you go this route, find a way to mount your camera pointing at a horizontal surface with a good background. It will save you a ton of time. Card pricing: The information is updated daily and is a great way to make sure you know the value in buying, selling, or trading. Search collection: I haven't used this feature yet. I'm still getting cards into the collection!

I'm new into MTG and was looking into digitizing the household card collection. I was super pleased to find this app, where all you have to do is make an account and use your camera to start scanning. Overall it's exceedingly useful, but some cards can be tricky to scan, especially foils. I did find myself spending a significant amount of time correcting prints on cards, so I wish that I could scan and set one then multiply it by the quantity of the same card I have. That would be amazing.

Very useful app and website. Needs a few more tweaks and functions to really be a competitor with others of the like but still great for what it is. $4 is not alot compared to others. i have scanned over 1500 cards in the last 2 days and it works great. Easy to use and for the most part very accurate.(easy enough to change set after scan)

Its been great so far. Theres only one thing i can think of that would make this app better. When you scan a card and pick the set it belongs under, it keeps those cards seperate from the other sets you have in your collection. Would make it easier to determine what cards are in which set when viewing your collection. Other than that, great app guys!

Best scanner by far! Simple and accurate, and a nice striped down experience (more features on the website). Aimed more towards collection catalogs rather than deck building. Has a paywall at 1000 cards but seems reasonable for the service and there is an export option. If you have been putting off organizing a large collection this is the tool to make the project manageable.

So far, so good. New to MTG, but not to TCGs and part of what I enjoy the most is keeping my collection organized. Gone are the days of paperwork in a collection binder. Phenomenal app for anyone looking to get the most out of their collection and the implementation of card-scanning has been a major timesaver. I suggest setting up a large staging area to make the most out of the scanning feature.

They make a really great easy to use app. It's easy to scan cards in and have prices right away. The app is lacking compared to the website, but it's a great start. The website is a powerful tool to organize your collection and build decks, I'd give them five stars if their app could do what the website does. The only down side is you can only see your first 1000 cards for free. Then you need to pay a reoccurring fee. I'd be more willing to pay if it was a one time charge.

This app takes the chore out of evaluating your MTG collection. Scanning is very easy, accurate and most importantly fast. It takes into account foil cards and reprints by allowing you to select the release. I had been putting off looking at the collection for years but finding this app has made pulling the cards out enjoyable again. The only challenge I have found is that sorting/filtering is a little cumbersome, but it is a small price to pay for the ease of managing and evaluating the collection especially if your collection is of any size. I can scan hundreds of cards inside of an hour.

Have loved what I have used so far. During staging it isn't easy to tell which art variant a card is from the same set. It would be nice to be able to see a preview. I also don't see a way to change the set/art after it's in your library. Overall this will still make digitizing my collection list so much easier!😁

This app is a great way to catalog your cards and share the database with friends for potential trades/purchases. The scanner is easy enough to use and, while not perfect (constantly thinking I have promo cards instead of the normal) is easy enough to correct. And the price couldn't be better for the base app - free! They don't even bombard you with advertisements every 30 seconds like most apps out there

Every once in a while app struggles to identify the right card. Using light backgrounds with dark cards and dark background with light cards definitely helps. Also room lighting makes a difference, and if cards have sleeves on them light may reflect off . All n all I'm pretty impressed with app overall . It's made some good improvements. THANK YOU

Just about does what it is supposed to do. Has a very hard time scanning foils. Oddly seemed to work better when camera was out of focus. Thinks every foil is a promo card by default for some reason, even though that must be an easy element to identify. Let's you sort your collection by filters but doesn't then show that info in the list so what's the point.

I started using the app yesterday as I want to rescan our whole collection and I wasn't happy with our previous program. So far I am very happy with it. The interface is very fast and easy to use. The tags help us know where each of our card is at any moment (we "lose" our cards constantly as we move them around from binders to different decks). Importing cards through a phone is very helpful and we can do it simultaneously, to save time. Being able to access our database from anywhere just by visiting the website is also very helpful (rather than uploading excel files in cloud). There is definitely room for improvement, which has to do more with extra features that could make our life easier, but even if the program stays as it is, it is great and I definitely recommend it!

I love the app, esp. to digitalize an index of a collection. I was looking for a way to do that in a way that doe snot include me noting each card down by hand and the app helped a lot! I think there are some features that would greatly benefit the app, but even as it is, it's great.

Really enjoy the app! It scans MTG cards quickly and pretty accurately. Otherwise, it is very easy to make quick changes to your collection as needed. I really hope that an option to use flash while scanning will be included in a future update, but that's the only critique I have for the app.

I've used delver for a long time, but have been frustrated with how long it takes for them to update their card database after a set release. CardCastle is definitely the most up to date card scanner, and makes reviewing scanned cards a pinch by keeping them in a staging area before officially adding them to your collection. The only thing i would ask for would be an UI toggle to be able to choose which set(s) the cards you are scanning are from. Great job!

Fast scanning and uploads. Great at recognizing the cards. Once you get used to the scan feature, it works as designed. Did a test upload of 300 cards, and the app performed well, scaned 6 cards at the time with an ocasional hickup, possibly user error. Cons: No way to create folders. No paging in web interface.
