Will not detect unit. Phone connects and plays music just fine, the app will never detect that it's connected though and no amount of canned bullstuff from Cardo "support" will help with that. And no I will not factory reset my phone like another user with same problem was suggested. That is not a fix, Cardo! Update: reinstalled app, made sure to accept all permissions, it connected but janky with sound cutting in and out.

When using the out going call feature there's no way to return to previous screen when call is ended. Without restarting the app. I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S10 phone with the PacTalk Bold if that matters. Well here we are May 11th 2022 and the issue is still not resolved I've got all the updates. And yes but with customer service about this and other issues multiple times with no luck over a year later.

This app does not contain the necessary functionality to make the cardo unit pleasant and convenient to use. The unit has deafening system beeps, and the app contains absolutely no way to turn the volume of the beeps down or off. Additionally, changes made in the app, even though saved, do not seem to be accepted by the unit until the user logs out of the app. This makes testing of changes to the settings time-consuming and extremely annoying. I do not recommend this app and associated product.

Upgraded to the new Freedom 4x Duo. Like the hardware but not impressed with the app. One if the main reasons for the upgrade was the ability to control the device via the app. Functionality is not consistent... Audio/media starts but keeps on coming in/out. Using Spotify w/o the Cardo app works well but then you lose the ability to share/intercom via the app. Hopefully they will fix the bug.

PITA to get the app to work. Can't even use the app it without updating my brand new unit and it won't let you update it without your phone being at 50% battery or higher, even if it's plugged in. Cardo makes great Bluetooth units, but their app needs work badly.

sound still cuts in and out when this app is used with my cardo freecom2x. Unit works great when the app is off. Tech support (as requested by cardo) is useless. If I already reset my unit, reinstalled and checked for updates on the app and unit, telling me to do it again solves what exactly?

Works fine somtimes but others don't seem to work get a random turn off somtimes when trying to adjust the volume had this problem on a previous unit . Aprently there are issues using the myspin app on Suzuki bikes hopefully this can be fixed as I need both working.

I have only had my unit cardo 1+ for about a week. I feel I have wasted my money never go for the lower model in the range pointless. I have only had problems connecting to the app, app disconnecting and switching it self off and plus there are so many products that are cheaper and better all round. This is the first and the last time I try there product should of such with sena had there camera for year never let me down. I just thought all the reviews on YouTube made it stand out.

The app works fine for me...but I have some problems with my freecom 1+... while talking with the passenger it keeps interrupting.... Update....now If I turn on the radio, I can't turn it off unless I turn off the device 😐 I'm starting to regret the purchase of this product

Takes too long to load up as an app on my Samsung Note 20 Ultra. The interface is too basic. But there's no other choice. There's only 6 FM radio presets allowed. That's ridiculously little in today's age. There are 10s of 100s of FM radio stations out there. Surely Cardo can allow to program in at least 3 sets of 10 presets into the app with an ability to rename the stations. Why the stinginess in coding? My 2003 VW Polo had the ability to store 2 sets of 10 FM presets each.

I enjoy the clarity of these intercoms. I currently have a freedom 4+ duo and it is crystal clear up until 200m then myself and the missus just hear static and communication deminishes. We need to be in line of sight and within 200m or this device is effectively useless. We have factory reset, adjusted the wiring, updated the app, airplane mode, and still the problem exists. I am very disappointed in this product. It would work fantastic as a pillion intercom or for music.

Useless. This app provides only the most basic functions. It doesn't show options to configure the device as described in the Cardo user manual. Cardo have not responded to request for help.

Packtalk black works 90% of the time as long as EVERYONE is fully updated (app and unit) otherwise don't bother. Voice detection is a little clunky and I can't get it to work with Bixby, only Google Assistant and only half the time. Hoping it'll be better after an update. Speaking of updates though ...... A wireless unit that doesn't support wireless updates? Did I pass out and wake up in 1995?? 😂.

Spirit ... connected to phone OK but if I have intercom on, sat nav voice over is useless. Starts to talk, then cuts out. With no intercom turned on, works fine but not what I wanted. Reset and updated everything, still no good

Voice control worked 1 time. I've updated firmware, did factory reset, uninstalled and reinstalled app, turned on voice command in app, checked mic connection, etc. "Hey Goggle" works fine.. but no "Hey Cardo"..

Bought a Cardo Spirit on Samsung Note 20. Connection is erratic (skips all the time) when I play music on my Spotify. Specially when the cardo and Spotify app is open. Same with Google maps. The cardo app makes the sound jitter and inaudible. Makes using the unit useless and a waste of money. Good thing I didn't get the more expensive model. Please fix this.

The music player is next to useless as it has no sorting function even though my music is sorted into folders on my phone. So my ring tones, bath time meditation music and every other genre of mp3s I don't want to hear on a ride is in the one big playlist that Cardo creates ... its frustrating to the point of distraction :(

Revising from 3- to 4-stars as I've realized the app does actually provide in-ride, new ride station scan functionality. Needless to say, I've relied solely on voice commands and hadn't used the app during rides. I still think that 6-presets is too few but I can live it now knowing that I can perform an active scan for stations during a ride. The voice scan option is something I'll include in my review of the device itself. ==================== Only 6 FM Radio presets!?!? And no voice scan capabilities!?!? You don't really care about FM Radio do you!? Think about it, on a day ride of 300-miles roundtrip - I DO leave the range of my home stations and without researching ahead of time for EVERY ride, I won't have radio for about at least a third of three ride - this is from experience. Hope these features, an increase to number of presets &/or ability to scan for a new station by voice, are in your backlog.

Edit: I have been able to get Google Assistant to work by pressing the button on my unit and then saying a command. I still can't get it to pickup "Hey Google" and then say a command. Works great except for the fact that Google Assistant commands do not work at all.

App itself is ok I quess. But you guys should develop the voice recognition. It's rubbish and I'm non only one complaining about it. When can we expect the update on voice recognition and new firmware where this is fixed? At the moment I'm thinking of returning this as this is not fullfilling the need I currently have. Voice commands and Google Assists are the one I need.

The app would not loaf properly and it didn't link with the cardo device. I had to unlink some saved Bluetooth devices before the app would work and link to the Cardo device. I have never had an issue with this before.

The hardware itself is great, but the phone app is continually hit or miss. Hits are ease of use, and once the unit is connected it tends to stay working. Misses and serious issues arise with pairing, as it usually turns into an absurd game of bluetooth transceiver musical chairs the moment there's any other cardo besides yours. Often the app will disconnect, or say it's disconnected when the android kernel thinks it's still connected, or when pairing/paired with another cardo unit.

Nice app. Easy to connect. But the music folder is unusable. All the musics in your phone are just in one big folder. All together. I have a few thousands which makes it impossible to navigate. Why not just import the folders from the phone directly instead of dumping everything into one big folder. I could use another media reader but for some reason, the sound quality is trash if not listened through Cardo connect. Very disappointing.

Pairs with Bluetooth ok, but the cardo app doesn't recognize that the headset is connected to the phone. So the app is useless. Which means the features I paid for are useless. Also, email validation failed? So I can't register the product. Here's the weird thing for me. I have two identical phones. They both run the same version of Android. The app works on one phone, my wife's, but not on mine. Go figure.

Excellent voice quality, but otherwise buggy software. For instance, music and radio volume cannot be turned up, but voice communication volume is fine. That makes this mode useless. No mention of this in the Cardo FAQ list but it's all over the internet. Radio sometimes fails to tune. It just ignores you. Volume is also way too soft. Voice prompts sometimes there and sometimes not. This is confusing.
