Care.com Caregiver: Find Child & Senior Care Jobs

The app itself has a few glitches but the idea behind it is good. I personally could not make too much use of it. I signed up for tutoring but only online since in person, even the close range matches were not worth the drive this was even before gas prices went up. The app doesn't give accurate travel time only an estimate. But for babysitting and other gigs what you can charge seems a bit more appealing.

Constant error messages. The last few days I've had to delete and reinstall this app. For some odd reason all my messages were deleted when I logged in. I pay for the membership just so I can contact customer service when I want through the chat feature. But if course that doesn't work either. And I keep getting another error message. This is a good app to look for jobs in my area but the amount of constant error messages and glitches make it really annoying sometimes

This app has landed me a few great jobs. The issue is the platform SUCKS! It's constantly trying to load a page and takes forever! And I had issues uploading photos, as well as just now all of my messages are gone! Just vanished, I had a new one, and then it wouldn't open, then I tried again, and every message from past communications were GONE! On top of the fact, years ago it was free to the nanny, then we had to buy tokens to even look or apply to jobs, NOW we have to pay $18.95 a year! 😩

Have had this app for 4 months now, and still looking for a job. The biggest issue with this app is when I first message people I can only send them a tiny paragraph describing who I am. Its like two sentences. With my background, my jobs, and my experience I need to be able to write a whole lot more than what they are allowing me to write. Its very frustrating.

This app has so many bugs. I downloaded earlier today, I've been working on a profile all day and it keeps saying that I need to use between 100 and 1,000 characters on the experience area of my profile, which I have and I continue to get the same error message. If it's not even going to let me finish a profile, then there's no actual reason to keep this app, so I'm uninstalling it. Completely unsatisfied.

I've previously gave this app a 4 star review due to it somewhat working and has helped me land a few good jobs, but in the past month or two I just can't log in, it says invalid token or something, I can still log on the computer or on my phone browser but now on the app, and it's so frustrating and because I still have this problem I edit my review.

Doesn't sync very well with online. I don't get my notifications emails to well after I've received them in the app. Whenever I update my profile online I don't see the update in the app. It's very frustrating.

Literally would give 0 stars. I couldn't put the bio I wanted I kept getting an error message, I tried MANY times to upload a profile photo didn't work once. Now as I'm trying to cancel my membership I can't. I tried via the appstore and it didn't show up in my subscriptions, I tried on the computer and there was no options to click what cancelation guide said to, and now I've tried to call the help number only to get a bot and reiterate what I've tried to do and be hung up on TWICE!

The update fixed a lot of the issues. The app is helpful and gives more information than the desktop site now (# of applicants, how long ago a post was created, search by specific pay rate filter). I wish it would let me update my bio to me more personal but it tells me I'm trying to share phone #, email, Skype code, etc. when I'm not sharing any of that, just writing in sentences instead of bullet points.

The app lags and doesn't let you update all your information or pictures. You can only message people but you never get messages back. The app force closes all the time. Don't waste your money, go to Indeed and search jobs there.

The app doesn't work properly. I accidentally clicked out and went to click back in and it said too many redirects. I can sign in thru my laptop, but that doesn't help much when I plan on doing this thru my phone, and my phone is always with me. I rarely use my laptop.

This app is a joke. I just wasted $40 on the app. $40!!!! My profile is pending after I renewed the yearly payment or whatever and I can't do nothing. I've tried to upload photos and they only "accept" after I rotate the photo 90°. Then I get something that says, "We can't see your face. We are not fond of hide and seek.". I've clicked to upload anyways and it gets removed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THERE IS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF FEES FOR X, Y, AND Z FOR NOTHING.

I have had some many problems with this stinking app! It never would let me make a new care profile like I decided to also set up a profile for pet care and it wouldn't let me Everytime I'd fill it all out I'd hit submit and it would say I was missing distance willing to travel even though there's no option for that. And now I forgot my password and I keep trying to reset it and when it sends me to type in email to recover it I hit submit and it does nothing !!!! So now I can't even get into it!

I signed up about 1.5 weeks ago and have had 4 job offers in that time for caregiving Jobs all of them 20$ or over. The app does have some bugs and needed to be updated today and wouldn't open at all at 1st. Hopefully the bug's will be worked out relitively quick, because this app has been a good send to me!

I've never experienced such a hassle joining a website & filling out my profile! Tried filling it out on the app, keeps saying I need 100 characters but I'm well beyond 100 characters! Then I try using my browser to complete my profile & now it won't allow me to answer the profile questions until I pay for a membership!!! UM LET ME COMPLETE MY PROFILE & VIEW IT BEFORE I PAY FOR A MEMBERSHIP! AND THERE'S NO WAY TO CALL THEM OR EMAIL THEM FOR HELP EITHER & YES I DELETED & REINSTALLED THE APP

For the most part this app works well for me, but there are a few issues. There's a lag sometimes between someone responding to a msg & me actually getting the notification (sometimes I never get the notification). Sometimes it randomly logs me out even while I'm using it. Also, when I've applied to a job it recommends others I might like; but the ones it suggests are almost always about 1/2 - 2/3 the pay rate (#sorrynotsorry, that's not a "similar" job). Other than that, it's pretty good.

It has been a great app up until recently, now I'm only getting error messages when I try to use it. I can't find customer service any where. I've updated my app, and it hasn't helped. I'm not sure what to do next. I've had great luck and good reviews, so I'd like for it to return to working order, or I'll have to find a different app to use.

One of the glitchiest apps I have ever used. Half the time I cannot even open it. It is slow to load, and constantly has errors sending messages.

Like everyone else says, too many errors! On your site it's no better. I cant even log in to the app, on your site I got it as far as entering my SS # and giving my consent then I get an error has occured please try again after some time. I waited a week after trying several times days in a row. Still not working!!! Please fix or have an 800 number to call for help

I made an account and everything. Paid for the subscription, which was about $15. When I went into the app later, it had logged me out and when I logged back in it said I had to pay for the subscription again! Which I haven't done, because I don't have that kind of money to waste on an app that doesn't work right in the first place. I did the care check and it said it went through, but now I want to delete my account so I don't get charged next month. They don't even have a number for support😤

I'm trying to do my background but the app shows me: error try later and I been trying per 2 weeks, and I paid already for the check my background, I been trying to contact them on different social media and they didn't respond, the number that I found on Google doesn't work either, has a horrible customer service

Definitely a useful service, but the app bugs are annoying. I've tried updating my profile multiple times, but the changes often don't save.

Completely Useless. This service makes it impossible to find jobs. I signed up to be a tutor send a pet care specialist. People (literally) never responded to my offer. Jobs are also left posted for months without being filled. The entire experience was a waste of time. Don't bother upgrading to the premium option- it's still worthless. Save your time and look elsewhere.

Stay away from this company and app. Half the time it doesn't work. I haven't received any work and I paid for the premium. It's a huge scam. Now it isn't allowing me to downgrade from premium. Don't go through what I'm going through with them.....save your money....they absolutely suck!!!!

I like the app. I have found a few clients with this app. The only issue is, it doesn't update you personal information. I no longer reside at the residence I first started out with. They told me to just make a new account. Oh heck NO! I have like 8 reviews & I can't go asking everyone for a new review!! They are dumb when it comes to that. Not everyone has time to do a whole new review. Just won't be the same. I like my current profile and don't want to mess with it!

One of the most confusing and user unfriendly websites to use when you are trying to update information. The app works fine on my phone - not on my tablet.

Early on I had problem with this app, it would go blank every time I applied for a position. Lately though, it has been good, so. 4 is good review.

Scam! This deleted all my profile info, wouldn't let me update it, posted the ad in the wrong city, then refused to refund my money. Dozens of sitters didn't respond because I had no/wrong profile info. Dozens more didn't respond after I explained where I really was because it made me look shady. The messages even get mixed up and send replies to the wong people. They CLOSED multiple tickets without responding. Do NOT give them your money.

This app was good until they started making you pay to use it. I made a mistake by paying for it and now I wasted over $20. I asked for a refund for the recurring charge and I couldn't get one because it had been over 72 hours.

The interface can be very difficult and the search results on the app vs the website are not as good
