Needs some work. Before connecting to a doctor it said it would check cost. It did not. It skipped that and went straight to the doctor. I had my sound on max and could hardly hear the doctor. I went in to my messages and saw my visit info afterwards, this worked good. When trying to compose a message, the app will not let me choose a contact, type a message, or a subject. It freezes up temporarily too. The developer email is invalid.
My issue is not with the app itself, but the awful service it provides access to. Waited for 3 hours for one doctor, made it all the way to patient number 5, was then transferred to another doctor and got bumped all the way back to number 9. I assume the first doctor clocked out for the night which is why I got transferred. Poor patient/queue management. Someone could get stuck in an infinite loop based on this inept handling. Absolutely horrendous.
When the system updates, no warning is provided and you will be charged a fee for an appointment that you didn't miss on purpose.
Tried to get a video visit for urgent care and ended up spending over an hour in the queue before being inexplicably told that the doctor was no over available. Then when I tried to re-enter the queue, the same doctor was listed as one of the options, with a 30-person wait! You have to keep the app open on your phone screen for the entire wait time, there's no way to set it so that it calls you back when the doctor is ready. No way to call customer service person.
App works good, just wish the connection was better. There was quite a delay.
Made an appointment with a provider 2-3 weeks in advance as that was the only appointment. I had to travel unexpectedly the day of my appointment and for some reason that made the provider uncomfortable and he canceled my appointment and we agreed to reschedule for the following day. The next day he flaked on my appointment and CareFirst didn't have the ability to help me get an immediate appointment despite waiting for so long. The program doesn't have enough doctors & therefore not convenient.
Loved not having to go to urgent care with my 3 year old. The flu is running rampant and this kept me from exposing him to it. I had some technical difficulty at first - totally user error. My smart watch took over and the video wouldn't work. Once I disconnected it everything was fine!
The app interface is easy to use. We were having some video and sound issues. Im not sure if it was the platform glitching or my intetnet connection though. It is a bit laborious to have to enter some info via phone each appt. Ive only used it 2x now.
Don't get me wrong the therapists on here are amazing but the actual app has technical difficulties a lot and I have missed multiple therapy sessions because of technical difficulties or the app using the third party to connect to insurance. And when I talk to them they said that they were known issues and pretty much for me to deal with it. The care and therapy is awesome when you can get it. All billing issues up to 30 days to get back to your account. Five stars for Therapists on here
Knowledgeable, quick and easy. A few minutes of data entry about symptoms and health history. A few minutes in the waiting room. Doctor was nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Overall good experience using this app
This is the single most valuable app in my opinion. While a remote visit can't get do everything they can do on person it is far more convenient and drastically reduces the risk of spreading or catching other diseases.
Waited for 3 hours before the app crashed and I lost my place in the queue. There was no trace of the previous appointment request when I reopened the app. Super disappointed that I wasted all of that time.
Quick and easy. The scheduling feature needs serious attention from the IT folks. Clients can not search for specific clinicians. There are tech glitches in the internet sometimes, and these glitches block the connection. You can be sitting in the waiting room for 15 minutes and your clinician not seem to know that. Super frustrating.
I was having muscle spasms, so decided to use the video visit. This was 3/30/2020. I expect long wait times. But my wait was unreasonable. I never even saw a doctor and I waited for 3 different doctors, from 2:30 pm to 9:45 pm. This app kicked me out of two waiting rooms and transferred me once. I called member services to no avail. I am going to try again today, but I have no hope that I will be seen. I hate this app, and I usually don't even leave feedback for apps but my experience was so bad
wow I ADORE my new therapist Alan, and wow this was so easy to use and it didn't even feel like therapy in a good way :)
The doctor was great, explained the best sort of medicine to treat the issue and was very professional. My only complaints are the long wait time and the need for wifi connection. Otherwise I'd definitely use this again.
Doctor Wiita was very helpful and friendly. She listened and explained everything very well. The only problem was because of the time of night I waited over 2 hours. But this is a great app for people who travel.
Limited search features. Emailing or messaging in the app is terrible every 4 or 5 key strokes it scrolls to the bottom of thread automatically then you have to scroll back to the top of message repeatedly

This was so easy, much better than waiting for hours at an urgent care. Longest part was registering, and that took maybe 10 minutes? .. My doc was great, fast and efficient, I will definitely be using again!
I waited for six weeks for a first appointment with Reginald Burgess and he cancelled the call after onky 4 minutes of technical difficulties. Couldn't try again, perhaps? What an unreliable service this is if the set up works flawlessly, but the meeting cannot happen.
Best app I've used in a long time. It was efficient and easy to use. I was able to speak with an emergency physician within 10 minutes and got everything I needed. Highly recommend this service!
Very convenient for a busy life and/or when plans change. Nice knowing someone can be there at your fingertips if necessary.
My experience was really great. This was my first time using CareFirst's video visit, The doctor was also personable and professional. I felt at ease when talking to him. He really listened to the issues I am experiencing.
I just had a wonderful experience with the CareFirst Video Visit. All of my needs were met! The doctor was excellent and very knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the convenience of using the CareFirst Video app for my doctor's visit!
I have had excellent experiences with this app. Easy to use and was quickly connected with various providers. So thankful for it.
Doctor thought it was an ear infection, but would not prescribe antibiotics without being able to see do to concerns about resistance to antibiotics, but she recommended that we reconnect with a different doctor who might write a prescription. So, pretty useless.
I've only used this app once but it was great! It was just like any other visit but I saved a couple hours of my life because I didn't have to take time out of the day for a simple visit when I knew all i needed was an antibiotic. Love it!
Have used its for my kids and myself. Amazing service, quick turn around, and so far, very attentive and helpful doctors without the hassle of waiting rooms and driving while sick.
Took some time to install and register. My first use went smoothly. Had some audio issues. Otherwise very convenient compared to going to urgent care. I recommend.
