I have found 2 great cars with Car Gurus. I really like the search feature- you can be very specific or very general in what you're looking for if you want to just look at some cars! This is a great app if you're looking for a car.
The app needs better updates. When searching from cars it becomes a hassle to go back to the search engine and reput all the information of the vehicle your looking for. For example you search the vehicle you want clicking on it for its info then to back it resets everything again in the filter search engine. Its really annoying. Its a great app but needs improvement.
Constantly gets the trim wrong on cars I look up, I have to go into the actual pictures to decipher what it actually is. Includes some BS disclaimer about how it's not their fault but every other app can manage to get it right. I'll stick to AutoTrader or whatever until then.
I've usee the app for quite some time now. My only issue is that some searches come up with an error message when I try to save them. However, it may be a glitch with the website itself, since the same message appears when I use the site on my computer. Either way, I hope that it's fixed soon. Other than that, all in all it's a great app and this is my first time having a technical / website issue.
I did my research and was really on the fence about presuing this but I am glad I did. The process was pretty easy, from the application process and uploading the paperwork. Like any other business, you have to be presisent when it comes to making an appointment to pick up vehicle. Overall, process was fast and I would definitely recommend it to others that don't want to go through the hassle of other apps to sell their vehicles.
App often crashes on Motorola Edge Plus, making it impossible to use app at all, resets do not fix this. The app also has problems saving exact searches, for example, selecting the manual transmission option under a search and saving it, will still run that saved search with both automatic and manual cars. Other than than, pretty good app.
Search function is limited depending on how you search which makes no sense. You can't search by body style and have a price filter and the slider is so difficult to actually get to the option you are looking for a pull down menu makes more sense.
CarGurus is useful for searching for cars, but has turned out to be a horrid and persistent generator of spam email. Despite unsubscribing a number of times, and blocking the sender in my Gmail program I continue to get several emails a day after I have no longer looking for a car. I would recommend looking for a different car search program. I will improve my review once the emails stop
Still the worst car buying app from a search and filtering perspective. The only way to search more than a 100 mi. radius is to pick a aingle make and model. Then if you select any filter options you are reduced ro 100 mi. Allows used car listings with 0 miles...
It's a decent app for car shopping. Lacks some helpful features. I can only seem to save searches from creating a search on my desktop, however it's not saved in app. If viewing details on a vehicle, the "return to search" takes me back to top of the page. Frequently, when also trying to return to search, it freezes for a moment, then takes me back to the very beginning of my search (1out of 1000 when I was on 334,etc)
Bought and sold 3 cars with CarGurus for the past few years. One star off for always put Shift on top of sorting/ deals, apparently they are messing with everyone with their $1250 service fee. You should add that to every car they lists to give a more truthful deal evaluation & sorting.
CarGurus is my fav and should be on any gearhead/auto enthusiasts phone/computer/etc. Update: only suggestion would be a filter for the saved cars instead of just search. Or maybe if the sort by option worked all the time
They are not fair. The selling cars with very good price but when they want to buy car they offer very very low price. I found car in this app for $24,000 and i tried to sell my car it's the same one they have but they gave me $7000 and my car has lower miles and one year newer. So what is going guys. Why you are not fair why !??
I so love CarGurus, they have good quality vehicles all over that makes car finding simplex since you get choices of dealership in your area and can filter the exact cars your looking for to narrow it down...car buying made simple!
Very good search function and very few differences to using the main website. Can be frustrating if you accidentally go back and erase your search criteria though
The sliding bar feature of setting your preferences is terrible. Tried for about a minute to set a max price of 12k, I'm now deleting the app. Auto trader it is.
They are not evaluating the car prices correctly any more. I don't know if it's because of inflation or trying to be greedy because there was no sale for entirety of lockdown period or its the winter. As, I don't believe that 2016 civic at 150,000km with 19,800$ price tag should be placed under good deal this is extremely overpriced.
I never made an account. I input my email to get info from a dealer and I get emails 1 or 2 times a day because it asks for your email there. Nothing about receiving emails. I went into the app and turned off all notifications and I still get them. Every time I get one I make sure to unsubcribe but nothing changes
great selection pulls from multiple dealerships. pricing to match all budgets. I'm not sure what more, in the process of applying for financing.
it takes a little while to get used to the filters and I wish there was a single app that would make it possible for more private seller leads, it's all dealerships selling...
CarGurus is a great place to look for a great deal on a vehicle you are looking for. Listing all the various important details of each vehicle.
I really like the app, and the selection of cars. My only issue is that the majority of the cars that I'm interested in are 50/60 miles from my zip code.
Pretty legit . Ive sold a car here and bought 4.. It does what you need it to do. I would like some notification when a saved car is sold just to help narrowing down options. For users that seem to think the price filter is not working, it is, however sponsored vehicles that match search criteria slare showed first before the price filter kicks in.
Can't sort by price or mileage - critical filters for car searching. Will use another app. Edited: can sort by price and mileage now. Price sorting is impractical and time consuming with a slider only on a scale of 1 million dollars.... would be 4 or even 5 stars without this flaw. The good: can sort by fuel mileage which is uncommon and very helpful.
Don't Fix What Isn't Broken. After the newest update, I find that the price filter changed to increments of five (30K to 35K instead of 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35). Please put it back to how it was. I, along with surely many others, would prefer to filter for vehicles more specifically than every five thousand dollars especially if my budget is 37K. Also, there is a filter to exclude lemons, salvage, and other branded titles. I ask for a filter that allows you to also view those types exclusively.
Car Gurus been by far, the greatest way that, I have ever shopped for a vehicle in need before. I highly recommend shopping for your vehicle need this way. I was even pre-qualified for my purchase, right here at the same time. It's really made my shopping easier, and comfortable. Thank you 😊
I signed up for email alerts for a certain year of vehicle and now I get constant emails for older models or different models of vehicle. I have hit unsubscribe three times already and continue to get emails again and again and again. Worst mistake was downloading this app.
Change it back! This new update where you've rearranged and moved everything is terrible! I keep hitting cancel instead of apply because you've switched where they used to be, you've moved all the filters around and it's just bad. Why?! It was so perfect!
I have used this app foe awhile and it is not helpful at all. Still waiting for pictures from a posting 2 weeks ago. I was notified a 2007 dodge dakota was sold yesterday. The same one I expressed interest but waited 2 weeks for pictures. I'm missing out on a future vehicle because if no pictures. Yes, I am pissed off!!
