Caribou Coffee

This app works but is somewhat buggy. When I open to the home screen, it showed my closest store, but when I tap on that, it takes me to a map of Brooklyn. I'm in Phoenix. when i was signing up I had to input my birthday multiple times because it kept resetting the month I had input. Credit where credit is due, it looks great, and once I got over the specific bus, daily operation works well

The main functions of the app work great and it's very easy to use, but my only annoyance with it is the promo alerts/notifications. When I click on any of them they do not show in the app or I have no way of seeing what the promo was after clicking. I would have expected the notifications to be stored in the inbox option of the app but it's always empty. Edit: updating my review since none of the rewards seem to work in this app. What's the point of showing rewards notifications?

I love the design and functionality of the Caribou app. The background images are lovely and I like that they change depending on the time of day. I also think it's cool that the app gives me a personalized greeting - also dependent on the time of day - each time I sign in. The app includes the whole menu, is streamlined and easy to navigate through. I'm a fan!

Love the app and the convenience of pre-ordering and paying with the app. You should add a "lighten up" button that would automatically change the details to skim, sugar free, no whip, etc. You should also add a way to leave a tip, like a round up option on the amount that we could set to automatically add to the total.

It was good until it kicked me out. One day I suddenly was kicked out then had to relogin. After I try and accept the terms and conditions, still can't move forward. Hard reset my phone cause an employee suggested that and still didn't work. I really loved the convenience of order ahead but it's been a few weeks since I could use the app.

Rewards make it hard to order online: 1) Redeemed rewards only apply to the lowest price item you order, 2) You don't know this until you're on the final checkout screen, 3) Going back at that point dumps your entire cart, so you get to start over if you're not ok with to that. The first two points seem like pretty deliberate design decisions for the app, which is unfortunate. That really hurts an attempt to replicate the awesome vibe with friendly baristas that you get ordering in person.

I sure wish I could save favorites, and I would love to be able to use my rewards on the app instead of POS. I do love how easy it is to customize my order, and that I can order from my phone. It's also a beautiful app, and really clear on rewards expectations. I'm a recent switch, but the app has made it so convenient I think I'll stay for life!

Overall, the app is a good experience. My biggest issue with it right now is the lack of mobile pay/PayPal integration. I really don't like putting my credit card info directly into accounts these days, especially since Google Pay and PayPal work with most services and they shield my cards using a virtual account number. I think adding this would make me actually use the mobile order feature, as I just don't want to add a card to do that.

Promotional notifications pop up once a day but there is no way to read them and they aren't sent to the app's inbox. the inbox is a useless feature. The only reason to have this app is to see how many points you've earned and to place orders for pick up. **Edit** Where did all of the coffee options go?! There's only 1 hot drink option (hot press) and many of the cold drink options are missing (i.e. Iced Mocha) but the store still serves other options. So much for contactless payments, etc.

Convenient and easy, and the trivia is fun. Definitely a time-saver! Two suggestions: 1) Please add a way to leave a tip for the wonderful baristas! 2) When an update occurs, please give people a little time to update instead of shutting down app access until update is complete. It's frustrating to have money stored in the app and learn while waiting in line that I can't access it until I update the app to the newest version. If I'm short on time or space on my device, I can't update immediately and can't access my funds until I do. I almost deleted the app because of it. Otherwise, great app! Thanks.

I LOVE the Caribou app! I love being able to order ahead which saves a lot of time if I'm in a hurry. It's simple to customize a beverage the way I want to order it. The app remembers the Caribou stores I frequent, making the order ahead option quick. I also like being able to easily check the nutrition & allergens for any item. It's super easy to add funds via the app. My point total is always available and the option to use the points at the different levels is also handy. Good job, Caribou!

The app seems fine so far. I wish that I could just use it to check in instead of shouting my phone number into the call box, but thats a training change not the app. The only thing I really dont like is that theres no option to add sweetener to my drink when I order through the app. Which, if anyone has ever put sugar in a cold coffee drink, you know it just sits as grit at the bottom. If I could order it ahead, they could mix it with the espresso.

I keep the app for convenience of ordering, but it regularly sends me notifications at 1:30 or 2:00 am. I cannot find any options for controlling notifications at all - had to force them off through my main phone settings - but of course this means I won't get any notifications for discounts at all. For Pete's sake, I don't need my phone going off when I'm sleeping...lack of sleep is why I need coffee in the first place!

The app is really nice! The options are very clear, and I found a few options I didn't know about! If you order Caribou at all, this is a good thing. Today I got a bag of coffee beans and two drinks, all covered by my perks The pick up was a bit confusing the first time but the staff made it easy. It could be better if I could use multiple rewards on the same order, but I got around it by placing multiple orders.

The app works great for check-in and pay. The only option for tipping in the app is when ordering ahead. It would be nice to have an option for tipping after the transaction, so I don't have to get cash in addition to paying with the app.

the app sends notifications and when you open them they disappear and there is no way to see the notification in the app. this has been this way since I got the app. it appears to advertise something special but then can't see what it was. feels misleading. there isn't usually an email with the info either.

I like the convenience of using this app to preorder and get a cup of coffee without having to wait in line. However the app is very slow and prompts a message to check my internet connection, which has full bars an is never an issue for any other apps I use. It sometimes takes longer than waiting in line.

The app is easy to use and also easy earn, redeem, and share perks with friends. I love that you can order ahead from the app and just go and pick it up. It's great that you can still answer the trivia through the app before ordering, so you don't miss out on the opportunity to earn 10¢ off. The menu is laid out well and it's easy to customize your order through the app as well. ☕

Your app is great for customers to choose how to redeem rewards, order ahead, ect. However, you're really failing at optimizing this app for business.I'll get a notification and start reading, example, "Jump into spring with..." Then click to finish reading (as that's all that fits in my notification), it'll open the app, and I CANNOT FIND THAT NOTIFICATION ANYWHERE IN THE APP!! Business fail. Was it a free upgrade? I would've made a trip for that! But, No idea what it was, so I'll pass on bou.

This app is surprisingly difficult to use. It won't save my card info so I have to enter my full name, card number, billing address including city and zip code EVERY single time I order a coffee. I'm trying to contact user support about an extra charge that was taken out (not on my history) and can't find any support contact info anywhere in the app. It's just very counterintuitive and a almost more hassle than it's worth. Almost. After all, I am a caffeine addict.

I really loved the app and the perks, but for the last few weeks every time I attempt to use the app it says 'oops something went wrong' and it won't load the app itself . I have uninstalled reinstalled and closed out of my phone I have no idea what's wrong. (I have a galaxy s4 ). if the app does work for you though it's pretty fantastic and the perks really help me!

I cannot register for the app. I keep getting an error that says it is unable to process my request with the information I have provided. Another error said my email or phone number is already in use with an account. I do not have an account (tried the password reset with email) and there is no way to verify the phone number is indeed mine to fix the issue. It would be really nice if there was a Help button available to chat in app or way to send a text from the app to verify your phone number.

Ready to go at walk-in pick up! I was a little thrown off by the "Open" sign not being lit, and the paper signs on the door. At first I thought maybe the inside of the store was closed but the app still let me select inside pick up, but it was actually open. Front door parking, in and out super fast like I was hoping. I love that I can order ahead! Plus I used my perks today to get a free drink! Double win!

I don't know why this app is designed to be as non-user friendly as possible yet here we are. There are no noticeable improvements from 2015 when the app was launched and didn't work. I would like to use the app. I would like to place an advance order a canteen of coffee and pastries for work meetings without having to stand in a line for 45 minutes but alas the app does not work! The app is, however, a very fancy electronic club card.
