Carly for BMW Lite

After having purchased an expensive OBD connector to work with the app and after purchasing the full version, they add yet another payed for option. You now have to pay additionally for Smart Mechanic even after paying for the full app. Adding this to the yearly cost of the app, it just does not seem worth it to me anymore. After my subscription expires, I will be cutting my losses and just find something else.

Was a good app for diagnostics and coding. Although despite of purchasing full version, it is now asking to buy 'all brand version' and has reverted back to lite version. This is the second time similar situation has happened in past two years of owning this app. Did message carly support but got no response this time. Have moved to a different app which provides same functionality. Update - Issue resolved. Working great now. Thanks 👍

App is now back working with a bad user interface. Intermittent connection issues still. Customer service is non existent, they don't respond to your emails after you send the required information they ask for. Have already sent the ticket number 620149 and I had no response. Useless customer service. You said they had contacted me back and they didn't. Still haven't. Don't ask me to send a scan as that is not the problem at hand.

I purchased the app a few days ago and immediately thereafter reached out to the team regarding the scanner that should've come with buying the full package of the product as advertised. I've also sent a screenshot of what is on the website just to be told that it is not the case .The app is also not always able to connect as I have to try several times before it actually continues with coding . Im personally not impressed by this app and started using my other devices for diagnostics again .

Every time it gets updated they remove things that used to be free and charge for them. Mysteriously forgets that you already paid once after an upgrade. Completely useless without paying, and when you do, don't count on it working again the next time you need it.

This app and dongle are truly a great tool for our Mini. It is a money saver on diagnostic and unlocking many features on the car that I would normally take to the dealer for which saves us a lot of money. Thank you and I recommend getting this app to help you with your BMW and Mini issues.

Extremely poor experience with this company and customer support. The website is poorly designed. They have limited support for brands and models, I found out my car model is not supported AFTER I paid for it and of course they have a clause for no refunds. After telling them to cancel my subscription 5 times, customer support is still asking me if I want to do that. Why would I want to keep paying for an app I can't use? Great concept, poorly executed and managed.

It is a very good and reliable app. Although, it is not very easy to understand all these technical terms for someone who is not familiar with the new car's technology. I am using it on a BMW 2016 X1 xDrive.

After having some issues at first, I contacted the support team whom responded promptly and effectively, I come to realise I was using the wrong function on my app (oops), used correctly second time around and found my fault within seconds with a detailed description of what was wrong!! Highly recommended 👌.

Highly recommended! Excellent customer service and support. Software is perfect for my own usage and even if I had failure on one brand, this was quickly solved by the support.

I purchased a scanner and app license to enable me to code features in my car. The Carly scanner and app did not work as I was led to believe, I could not code anything without an error message. I contacted Carly support but they were unable to help and then informed me that coding in my particular car brand was extremely difficult to do. Why isn't this on your website for my car brand. Tried getting a refund but was told no I can't....terrible customer service. Next stop OBDeleven!

Not impressed with this anymore. I paid for the yearly subscription and now it wants me to pay an extra 2.99 a month to get the info I need for the problems. And the coding seems to have got worse. Nothing new added and seems to have lost some of the codings it used to have

P.O.S. .... That's what you'll get with Carly scanner. I have a mk6 GTI and it's not even on the selected model list. Refuses to communicate because the closest model was a golf. I contacted via email cause there isn't a phone number for customer service so now you're waiting forever to get a reply. When you do, they want you to uninstall the app, reinstall, log in try it. If it doesn't work, choose a complete different car and only be able to read codes. That's it. Save your time and money.

It's not worth the money. Brought it because I wanted to keep an good eye on my car, doesn't do half of what it says it should. Gave me false readings, (took the car to the garage to check) £70 from Peugeot for nothing I won't be renewing my subscription unless they sort it out. If you really are looking for a scanner or diagnostic system look at a proper plug in unit from a proper retailer.

I purchased all brands, and it still doesnt work for Peugeot brand. Tested on several cars, very disappointed! Now i ask refund, and not possible?! And making just new look, new design!! Make a good app that is working! The all first Carly app for bmw was wey wey better than all of these new stylish look today, we need easy working app and not fancy look! Please consider refund, as it still not working for Peuget, which i mentiones many times already on Gplay, facebook....

This app used to be great, before the "subscription" only days. Saved me a few times with a mini Cooper. Now it is nothing more than a heaping pile of garbage. Can't connect via USB and otg adapter which worked great with the old app. No thanks, I don't code over an unreliable wireless connection. The interface is made for someone who knows nothing about cars, who most likely wouldn't use an app like this. Option to change to an advanced interface? Nope.

I have been using Carly for about 1.5 years, I find the software easy to use and informative, although some faults can not be cleared and some parts of my cars software can not be accessed. It does do basic system resets and changes. Just not advanced re-programming, which the product is not designed for anyways. Technical and after sales support is excellent. I do recommend this product for basic fault diagnostics and clearing error codes, some basic re-programming available

Ships from Germany, no shipping updates, no idea what is going on with the order - has been over a week and I can't even confirm that it has left the fulfillment center. Seems like there is a label on the floor in Germany and this is my reader..

Wasted my time. As usual there is a charge for the "pro" version, but you"ll get to waste you're time too, unless you're reading my review prior to downloading it, but for most you'll get the joy of finding out after and the need to uninstall and look for a different app. Sidenote: This app instantly knew what the type and year of my vehicle is, but now it can't connect to my OBD2 BT device because it isn't compatible? Then make it compatible. It works with Bimmercode/link!

Carly will delete negative reviews. Trash product with TRASH SUPPORT. No matter what I do they just close the tickets I open and when I reply back I just get messages that I have replied to an old ticket and that they don't receive emails on it anymore and to open a new. So I open a new one just to get the same message. So basically a scam where they take your money and run.

I have the universal scanner and paid for the full version for all brands and this app cannot detect the check engine light on my Porsche 997.2 the only reason the review doesn't get a one is because it works ok on my e46 bmw.

This is the worst experience I've had .just paid for full package .won't disable rear spoiler on my car will not code needle sweep .won't even allow me to get audable lock and unlock.should of bought obd 11 that does the lot .want a full refund..supposed to be best for vags

Purchased the app a while ago. The app was horrible to use. Would take over 10 minutes to connect. Would disconnect frequntly and was unreliable. I used it a handful of times over the year as there are no functions for a E65 BMW. So I let the licence expire. If you don't have the licence it is pointless. No functionality what so ever. So after charging £20 for an adapter you get told for free that you have errors but no codes. Absolute waste of time and money. Mines getting binned

Ok but... Honestly for scanning the car it goes in depth and covers alot, and that genuinely surprised me, especially coming from professional Scan tools at my auto shop. However, the fact that you need to scan -the entire vehicle- every time you reboot the app before it will let you scan/clear an individual module is such an irritation and waste of time I'm considering uninstalling it for that alone. Edit - uninstalled as its inconsiderate of time and the constant need for a full scan.

This app used to work very well. It was maybe 2 button pushes to run diags and get useful information back. Now it takes minimum six. Not only that, but they spam you with their "repair information" and some other nonsense that is completely useless to me. I will be cancelling my subscription and finding something else to get my OBD data for me that doesn't waste my time.

Since update can't connect to app. Says can't connect to Bluetooth using gen 2 adapter. Please fix. Since all the updates the app gets worse. Surely no need for all these updates

Since I did not found my car model in the list, I could not connect to ECU. CARLY support has recommended to select most "close " model so, after that connection has established in a second! However,it is strange my mercedes ML350 model is very common but, missed from the list.
