Good source of information and a good way to keep and have access to information. Downside, the "call dealership" button, when pressed, crashes the app. So pretty useless for that part. Would be easier to just make it a copy / paste option.
First and foremost when you put in your v i n it comes up with random specs on your car with a disclaimer that the specs might not be correct what's the point. second when it ask you to register your vehicle with the manufacturer that button doesn't work and then what is the point of putting in your mileage into the app you have to do this every day to keep it accurate haven't found it very useful at all
A pain to use. Ended up taking payment twice because I couldn't tell it worked the first time and the app kept saying no payment scheduled or made so I did it again. Then it said that there was a scheduled payment. I assumed all was good but no! It took out two payments.
Great way to keep all the details and information on your vehicle, but every time I try to use a service on the app it crashes. Its good to look at, but you can't do anything with it... just kind of pointless with it crashing all the time.
How does the app know my current Mileage on a vehicle? I had just installed and set up the app to my vehicle 3 weeks later from purchase and it knew the mileage at which it was bought at, which makes sense. But how does it also knows my current mileage, how does it know that? My car does not have any autostart or any special phone features except for bluetooth audio. There is also nothing connected to the ODB port. So how did this app know my current Mileage?
I have never had such an awesome reception as the one I had here. He went over every question I had about other vehicles of which led me back to my first love of the one I really wanted in the first place. I test drove it and loved it even more. He went over everything so I could understand everything. He even had a bow put on my car and let me get a picture of it. It was the most awesome day of my life. I pray he stays around to help others like he helped me. I love Carmax.
My experience at car max. they are good car sales people. i bought a 2009 for focus, and its going to take four years to pay it off. theg did a goid wax job when i washed it i could see all the scratches. it runs good, i got a warranth, but i bought it at over 120,000 miles little did i know that we as alot of miles, seeing after warranty i have to pay $9,000 over four years. i have a flat tire and the lug nuts are to big for for the tire wrench that comes with the tire kit.
Cool Concept, Poor Execution. Looks like app is opening and freezes. Even after uninstalling and installing again.
App doesn't want to load anymore. Just gets stuck on the loading screen. It is convenient when it works right.
One stop shop to look up info, set reminders, and make payment. Makes the most of experience. Plus u can shop for cars
Killing this app with a notice that says owner activities will be available in the Carmax app but they are not. It just lets you update your vehicle's miles. Ridiculous.
I use the app to make payments. The app deleted my payment method and upon adding another payment method I fast the error message "We ran into a problem. Please try again."
App doesn't move past initial screen, no info, no access to app other than a screenshot. Developer needs to fix!
Received an alert that the app was being retired. NO information on what it is being replaced with or how to get whatever that is. No "help" or "contact us" in the app to ask.
App is "retiring soon", but is not giving me the information I need to download the new app. Any time I try to open the app, it crashes.
Can't make payment through the app and it says no open accounts even though my car is registered and shows up on my profile. Fix this!
I love the no hassle no pressure experience. I recommend everyone try it with the next purchase of a car.
I wish this app would automatically receive an update about new vehicle purchased and that there was a Pay your bill here button..linked directly to carfax financial..
Mike was polite and friendly and held the car for us overnight since we came in pretty late. We bought the car the next day. He had saved it from getting transferred out during the day when someone missed it was on a hold status.. So we were glad we got it just in time. We defineyely would shop here again.
App appears to be broken. Payments i make do not process and now I can't even log in. And yes I'm using the proper account info.
It doesn't do anything. Just the opening screen appears when I open the app. Just sits there.

I just got a call. They sent the push notice too soon. You should be able to log on now and the new app will be available in about two weeks.
The carfax app and customer service especially the finance department is not able to help you at all. They keep telling you to go to the website and change things that way and when you try you get an error. In person they can't even help you with your payments. We spent months trying to change our payment method and got absolutely nowhere. So I would say that if you are looking into getting a car at carfax definitely do not finance with them because they absolutely can't help you.
