CarMax - Used Cars for Sale

The website does not work on a phone, meaning when you try to get on with your phone you are met with issues, and no redirect to download the app. In downloading the app, the login and user name I have used for days on my computer does not work through the app. I have tried multiple times with no success to reset the password or other known troubleshooting tasks. They either need to have a mobile friendly website or an app that is functioning!

Recent update absolutely ruined the UI. Text (such as stock numbers/VIN/etc) can't be highlighted/copied like before the update. Stock number isn't right at the top of the page like it used to be - something that was super useful when dealing with reps over the phone or in the store.

Updated and app freezes and pops up with app is not responding. Typically happens when looking at pictures. Also rotation is not working on photos. I'll never learn. Developer notes appeared so nice. Older app was working great. This is on a galaxy s8.

I can make payments on it which is all I really care about, but loading statements never works! Everything else on the app crashes or nothing happens. Making payments at least works but even then, sometimes I have trouble getting it to work. Terrible app, just use their website.

Your app redesign is absolutely terrible. Nothing works correctly, like landscape viewing. The pics take 8 years to load. The app has crashed several times. I mean this is unusable.

Have had to call the past few months because autopay won't properly set up. The app always tells me I have a payment already set through autopay but never takes any payment out when the time comes. So then I have to call, explain the situation, and it still never gets fixed. Stop telling us the app is fixed when it's clearly not.

Carmax finance is a joke!!!!!!! Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to finance through. They take your money but won't add it to account as a payment. Call and harass you daily tell you bring the account current but will refuse to tell or give you a hard copy to prove that you're behind. And they also fail to report to the credit bureaus anything unless it's negative.

Honestly, what the heck were they thinking when they decided to "update" the app??? I literally had no complaints or problems before!! I was able to make all payments and find anything I needed, super quick and easy. But with this new app update, they make you jump through 30 hoops just to make a car payment! Very frustrating, and makes me almost want to never buy here again! :/

Ordered a car to be delivered. Car didn't show up. No one called me. I called them. They lied. Repeatedly. Finally was told the car couldn't pass emissions & couldn't be sold. Sale was canceled. 2 days later, the down payment was illegally removed from my checking account. Stolen. I lost a day's pay to be home for the delivery, a hit on my credit score, insurance on it, and $3000 stolen from me.

Most useless app on Earth. I am able to sign in to CarMax on my PC, but the exact same username and password is rejected on this app. Why would I buy from a company that can't provide a functional app? Reading the comments, obviously I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue.

Awesome to find a car!! But the downside is that if you financed through them you can only make a payment but you can not see what the total amount you owe as you pay it off. What if you want to pay it off? You have no way of finding out what to pay unless you call them. Download till you find your car but after that app is useless to me as I set up autopay.

App won't work, wait keeps giving me error, deleted, rebooted my phone and when I try to use the actual webpage, it just say doesn't support internet explorer 11 when I opened the app on a chrome

Contacted via phone to sales dept. When stated what I'm looking for all interest lost and told to download the app, BTW was already done. I was told by my local mechanic CarMax would work with you on unusual requests. I did not find that to be true. AB

Not user friendly. No way to set a payment reminder in notifications. Just wants to sell more cars.

The app is just as great as buying from Carmax in store! The app makes it easy! I've bought 3 cars from Carmax and whenever I may need another I'll be sure to go back!

Bought a car from them barely 5 months ago that supposedly passed their "125" point inspection only to have to replace all 4 tires that were dry rotted on the inside. So their service dept is either incompetent at best or at worst liars. Either way I'm out 650 bucks.

The new update...has Freezing issues. Looking at vehicle pictures cause the App to stop working and hard to close app.

This app, the website, and the phone # are always down or glitching. I scheduled a payment and it never went through. Now I'm late and there's no one to call, website not showing my account! What in the world!

Being handicapped I am limited on the on site viewing experience . Knowing the sellers rating and history is a big plus . I bought my last two pickups through this app and I'm very satisfied .

The people at carmax work as a team and welcome their customers along with being very professional. We went in for a vehicle and we were approved. The service was Good 👍. Thank you Carmax

This is worst app in the bill pay department. It never works. It's super glitchy. I can't wait to pay this car off So i never have to use the app again.
