Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter is a console-quality lifelike hunting sim where the players track down a variety of dinosaurs while exploring huge non-linear locations. The dinos boast with some of the most advanced AI on the platform, evolving from “pea-brained” dummies to dangerous creatures that are able to see, hear and sense the adrenaline in hunter’s blood.
Distinct 3D environments including pine forests, muddy marshes and rolling hills give room for different hunting tactics, which are important because the hunter may easily end up becoming a prey. Wind direction, scent and the use of a special dinosaur call are all key elements in tracking the dinosaur and not being caught.

Would be nice if there was a way to contact the developers, ask questions, because like to know if I can play this somehow with a controller. I remember playing original long ago with mouse & keyboard, that would be ok too. I can't stand touch controls, would be nice if it was playable elsewhere like more modern consoles (saw it was on PS3 at one point), or steam. Not a fan of the pay to play games, but in this it's just an extra and shortcut to buying everything. Still as fun as og from 98.
Used to be a great game back in the day. Now it's all about credit$$$. First they introduced credit system for the relocations during the game and now can't even go to a single hunt without enough credits. If you escape, you'll lose all of them and basically can't play anymore without purchasing. Ridiculous.
I really love this game and I've been playing it for years. But I have a recurring bug where it resets all of my progress and reimburses me with the credit value (sometimes). It happens a lot when I purchase the revolver, and resets the next time I open the app. I still love the game, but would really appreciate a fix, thanks!
I loved this game as a kid and this port is just as good. But I had to give it 1 star. I understand ads, especially for a free game. But multiple ads between plays is too much. Not to mention, the ads are fluky. For instance, it'll say to click the X in the top corner, you do, and it'll get you linked to another ad. I went through 6 or 7 different ad cycles before having to turn the game off. Absolutely ridiculous.
Awesome game I really enjoy it awesome graphics and challenging hunts the amount of detail that went into making ever single map and dinosaur is absolutely jaw dropping, controls are simple and easy to figure out, and one feature that's really awesome is the observer mode which is super helpful, survival mode is lots of fun the only problem that I have with this game is that you have to pay for a lot of things which I think is really stupid
I am in love with this game! I had it when I was younger because I was obsessed with dinosaurs, and I recently just got it again. All my achievements and progress were saved. I love how simplistic the game is and that there is really no need for in-app purchases. I would however like to see something new, just... anything xD. It would also be nice if we could somehow interact with herbivores that didn't include killing them.. or maybe have some kind of companion.
I rememberd playing this game as a little boy, I usually got scared by the carnivores:) Now when I revisited the game, it's still a great game. Only thing is that the carnivores are still way to hard to hunt. The game moves a bit slow (for me atleast, I dont know if this is a problem for others) causing it easy to die. The introduction of forcing people to pay for certain ammo's is not a good idea. Still a great game tho.
It's a fun game, and designs aside, a good port to mobile. If recommend it, if it works on your device. For me, that isn't the case. Whenever I log in again, all of my progress has been reset to just unlocking the oviraptor, but all my trophies are still in the trophy room. Needs fixing to make the game playable.
So the gameplay is fine and I paid 5 dollars to have double credit value for kills permanently enacted, however for some reason after unlocking certain items (this has happened multiple times now) they will become locked again randomly with no warning. Ill close the app with the unlocked items and open it up again and they will be locked again, my credits gone and progress erased. Like I never even played the game and it reversed back a few days. Needless to say this is very frustrating.
I mean it's Carnivores, so you can expect what's up. Tatem seems to have abandoned this port and it's a real shame. Hard to keep turning without jumping and compromising my sneaking up on the dinos. There NEEDS to be bluetooth controller support, the touchscreen controls only lessen the experience. Tatem is a well known do-nothing developer though, so it likely will never happen.
Growing up as a kid I had the first and second Carnivores games on pc. They are some of my all time favorites. And honestly I think this is a great mobile port that combines the two of them. Runs great on my s21 ultra, and the pricing is pretty fair for a free to play game. Also everything can be earned unlock ingame. Though it can be pretty grindy after awhile.
I loved this game when I first had it on my old phone. Now everything cost money when it didn't used to cost anything to hunt new Dino and the hit rate now is crazy low you can stand face to face with a Dino and shoot 5 times to hit once. Bring back the old version of this game and make it worth playing again.
This game is perfect. The graphics are pretty okay, the gameplay is awesome. But there are a few things that I think you should have. You should have multiplayer, maybe a competitive multiplayer where you fight each other, as well as dinosaurs, and a mode where you hunt together, as a team. Second, I think you should add a dilophosaurus. Maybe the kind from Jurassic park, where it can spit. It should be able to spit in your eye, knock you over and blind you for a bit, making it easier for you to hunt. Third, This is a Longshot, but you should add the indoraptor or indominus rex from Jurassic world Those things , I believe would just make your game all the more awesome.
Almost manages to be fun. Some very simple changes and it would actually be playable. Maps are frustrating to get around on, with waaaaay too many impassable barriers. Targets are spaced too far apart. Those two mechanics are probably designed to sell fast-travels for cash. Shot placement (headshot vs body shot vs limbs) doesn't seem to matter at all. Generally makes for a boring, repetitive experience.
The game is awesome, except for one small thing. You see, if there is an ad playing, and you exit and come back, it will force you to watch another ad. This wouldnt be a problem, except some ads do not have an exit button, or sometimes it just takes me to the app store, so i have to suffer through another ad. This starts to get infuriating after a while. Maybe get rid of this feature? Its beginning to ruin the game for me
