Carousell: Snap-Sell, Chat-Buy

The app has come far from its early days but still has some persistent bugs. For starters I don't get notifications from chats or any kind of notifications for that matter. I would also like to see WhatsApp integration and verification as well since some sellers don't respond to carousell messages, so it would convenient to be able to WhatsApp them. And most importantly DARK MODE!

App is very addictive, but after the new update I will face an issue, whenever I search for something and press the search button the app will exit on its own, but when I press on the suggestion bar it works fine, hope developer can look into this issue, it gets annoying after awhile :(

UPDATE 5/24/22: They update the app weekly yet can't fix the long-standing search bug that force-closes the app after tapping the search button! It also seems to have an unpatched memory leak causing the app to slow down & eventually hang after searching for & browsing items. They have never managed to plug this leak after all these years. $hitty app & developers who keep deleting critical reviews. Fux0r off. Hire better programmers, don't outsource it to n00bs & cheap devs. So annoying to use.

Good. However, I'd suggest more security measures by allowing only carousell protection to sell/buy. Also link to other courier services like they did with poslaju so people can choose. Basically make it like other online shopping platform where people have 'ship by' date or else the order is cancelled, to avoid dishonest seller. Because so far this platform is a scammer's haven.

It has been two years since the feedback was given, and I felt, little considerations were taken to my feedback. Would be good if there is an option for a dark mode interface.

Very difficult to deal with sellers/buyers who are not active on the app itself. Sometimes people don't respond, sometimes you are on the way to deal and suddenly you realize the other person has not provided any contact details other than carousel chat, it's frustrating!

Used to enjoy Carouselling a lot, however, in recent years, Carousell has become more profit-focused. In addition, the InstantBuy program which was initially beneficial for reputable sellers have become very much of a hassle. With never-ending email spams, emails that are sent wrongly, marketing conversations on the app, never-ending rules..it's more frustrating and annoying. Replies from CSO/business development keeps changing as well. Very disappointed. May have to find alternatives soon

Decent user experience. Fairly simple for beginners. Search filters are not complicated. Adds not particularly invasive. I find it odd that for items you liked, it has a Compare tab that only allows you to compare property and cars. Would be really good if it was updated to Compare a wider variety of items.

It's not that hard to use but the app kept telling me something went wrong or my internet is not connected despite having a secured connection. Please fix this, it's such a hassle to close and open the app every 10mins to refresh it. Thank you.

It is a unspoken fact that this app is essential to our livelihoods. Outside of the aggressive advertising and marketing for micro transactions, it is a good app. But I will give 5 stars when dark mode is added. My eyes can't take the brightness level of the white colour every morning when I open it.

Very convenient. Easy to sell things. Very safe place to sell things, bcause eventhough I've received a lot of messages from scammers, Carousell takes very fast actions to suspend all those people, making it a safe platform to buy & sell. For improvement purpose, I would like to recommend if Carosell could remove the " 🚫 you deleted this message" message that appear after we unsend a message. The rest are all good. Tq!

Listing an item to sell is very easy with Carousell. It motivates me to spend a little time to give things a second use rather than to dispose them or to leave them with the Salvation Army, many of which didn't make it to the store eventually.

Love this app but the messaging is extremely laggy and thus created alot of miscommunication due to the lapse. For any deals requiring fast reply and communication, definitely safer to liaise using text or WhatsApp etc.

Already used it for a long time, reinstall again and got many new features. But Carousel can improve a lot on usrr page for easy view. That's all for now.

Their support are very responsive and very helpful esp on my listings. thank you po. I also like when a buyer reserved an item and cancel them i could report on them and they will appear from others as someone who has an issue. It is hard to deal with those people.

This app is easy to use. However, if you are using VPN, you may be denied access occasionally when they update the system. Fortunately, their help desk is supportive and all I need to do is to turn off my VPN when it happens. Therefore, they deserve a 5-stars rating.

Overall great app to buy all kinds of things. Just one issue. When a friend sends a link for a carosell listing it always pop up as an error. Has this happened to anyone or is it just me? Edit: It's been a while and the error is still not fixed after updating. If you need more info, it shows net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME when I open the link in carousell.

Love the diversity. I've bought a handful of books from this platform and I'm grateful for all the sellers I've met so far. The app is straightforward but it does have its glitches. For example the pictures won't load properly and errors occurring when chatting sometimes, like removing a message but everything is in tip-top shape.

Tangible to Intangible experience. App is easy to use, less reasonable ads, Loading time is Fantastic. Chat is sometimes unresponsive.

It's literally good tho,only doubt is that there's a time it heats my phone allot whenever I'm browsing and it's getting laggy, stating "connection lost", and I had to exit and reopen it. The app crashes for several times 😔🤌🏻

Hv been using the app for many years. Good platform to get rid of extra items at home. Only thing i don't like is a lot of vendors are also making use of this app to sell their stuff, making it difficult to search for second hand stuff.
