1.5 hours stuck in traffic to get in the park because there are no pay vs prepaid/season tickets. The app doesnt accurately reflect ride wait times. The poor operation of this park makes for a miserable experience with young children. I regret buying season ticket passes
The app currently shows "Scarowinds" stuff on the home page and it is now March?? Seriously?? App constantly sends the same push notification for season dining plan and the app alone has no ability to edit settings. As others have said the wait times are always inaccurate (and have been for almost 2 years). Cannot view current calendar either. Do not recommend this app at all. Will be deleting it.
App itself is ok for directions, tickets and general information. However, the park doesn't update wait times for the app, which is the main reason I got the app. Our party separated based on estimated wait times and ended up wasting a lot of time apart because of the bad information.
I think it's a decent app but a few issues. Number one is that there's no way you can search for a shop, like a gift shop. Because I had to go buy sunscreen but couldn't find a store so I tried to find a shop on the app, but there was no option for shops. Another issue is when 6our navigating, it doesn't tell you which way your facing nor loads fast enough so I'll be walking one way and say I'm going the wrong way, so I turn around and it says I'm going the wrong way. It's quite disappointing.
Wait times are a lie. Severely underestimates. 15 minutes when you really wait over an hour. Some rides displayed 0 minute wait times all day. The map is utter garbage. You can't use it to navigate. If you change the direction you are facing, it still points up no matter what. You have to wait until the marker moves to see if you are actually walking in the right direction.
Very inaccurate and worthless app. To start with only Drink and Meal passed show up in the app. Entry/parking passes are not accessible from the app. The map layout is very opor an confusing. Wait times listed in the app are no where close to the actual wait times. For example: On 5 different phones including Samsung and Apple (app downloaded from itunes) the wait time listed for Copper Head ride is 5 minutes. in reality it was more than 1.5 hours.
Calendar has issues and is not updated with changes and this year's calendar (2019) has not even been posted. It still has last year's calendar. *Update - The calendar was finally updated but I had to delete the app first to get the update. Now it updated on its own and I hate it!
This app is worse than useless for walking directions since the arrow does not correctly adjust to where you want to go. I am at the park now and on a fairly premium Samsung S9 phone. Psst, go to retailmenot where I got 2 tickets & free parking coupon code for $68 total for both people 👍
Kinda pointless. The wait times were not even close to being correct (10 min vs 3 hours), rides were showing being closed or down when they weren't and the map function isn't very helpful. Might as well skip downloading it. Wasn't helpful AT ALL.
App is terrible. Always says its offline. Cant log in, cant sign up, and cant add season pass. Map works but for this app to just be a map app is not worth it. They need to fix it. Using it on a Pixel 2. Uninstalled app and after a fresh install its still not working.
Wait times are not accurate. At all. Only use is the map. Beware, sometimes the arrow indicating the direction you are facing is the opposite. Carowinds;. Please invest in some shade. Standing on hot asphalt waiting for rides gets old quick in the summer.
Got the app mainly for ride wait times, since maps were available throughout the park. However, wait times did not update at all throughout the day, even after connecting to the park's wifi. This was extremely disappointing.
Terrible app. The ride times are completely inaccurate, it told me the Copperhead coaster would be a 5 minute wait and it ended up taking 75 minutes.... the map doesn't work sometimes, makes you create an account just to look at ride times, and it constantly takes up some of the screen to tell me I'm offline when everything is clearly loading...
DO NOT TRUST WAIT TIMES. this app is useless when figuring out wait times. grab a park map and use it, as the interactive map isnt useful or accurate either. use visual guess for wait times. good for getting park hours.
Totally worthless app. Wait times for rides were not displayed. The map must be used with filters and has terrible detail as to what is around you. Walk times are somewhat accurate.
Has worked well in past visits, ride times are usually about right on slower days. However, I have been trying to plan a trip to SCarowinds, and now the app will only show me info for Dorney Park. I'm not sure why this issue is occuring aside from them pulling info from the wrong part of their servers. If I do visit again soon, a map for a park in Pennysylvania won't be much help.
Where are the updates. This app is very inaccurate and never seems to be updated. The ride wait time are ALWAYS wrong and shows rides closed that are open. It also still lists rides that aren't even operating any longer. Where is the IT team. Who is in charge of these apps. They leave much to be desired.
Wait times are VERY inaccurate. Walked to a coaster with a 10 min in app wait time, when we got to the coaster it was actually 55 mins. The worst part was the time never changed in app, even after we waited an hour and rode the app still said 10 min wait. Ended up uninstalling.
Love Carowinds been going for years. Used to rotate it and six flags have not been there to know what's up but love Carowinds. Few things wasn't as it sounded or presented but we always have that. Waited little money freight night but was my own fault just be nice to be even heads up once in while. Right now I need them to deal with me so meet in the middle you. Things aren't always what they seem take good with bad just led hands to each other.
It just doesn't work! The wait times are always wrong and will even sometimes say a ride is closed when it isn't. The map doesn't work and gives wrong directions! Don't bother.
The app used to be good, but you guys sent out an update and now I cant see the water park hours. its ridiculous when you fix something that isnt broken, and in turn break it.
The map is nice and usable, but I uninstalled the app the second it told me I had to sign in to see wait times for rides. As many times as my data has been leaked by services like this, it's just not okay to ask me to create N account for a service I might use for a total of 5 hours.
The app would be better if the map showed you which way you are facing instead of North. It almost requires a compass to find your way around if you're not sure which direction is North.
Terrible replacement for a paper map. Missing a lot of information. None of the sections of the park are labeled. There's no way to search for kids rides. Poorly made.
Wait times aren't remotely accurate. Have to add season pass every time you reinstall. The two features I need don't work.
Not the worst or best. Nice to see menus and map but wait times are extremely inaccurate! Would be wonderful to see accurate ride openings and wait times.
